To the Rescue!
It was the next day and like I had told myself the day before when I was coming home from school, I decided to walk to school. I entered through the main gate and walked toward my class room, the door still a little intimidating. I sat down in my desk waiting for class to start, Tetsutetsu coming over to me looking like he was ready to fight. I glared back at him and I hesitantly asked him "What is it?" His expression turned into a curious look as he replied with "So you have seven different quirk abilities? You already said you had dragon wings, plasma and psi, what else can you do?" I responded with "well, I can also reflect light to either make myself invisible or make a light clone, I can absorb kinetic energy that I come in contact with then release it all at once but too much energy could seriously hurt me, I can also Double my speed and strength but using it causes me to sleep for ten hours after I use it and right after I use it I receive sharp pains down my back. My last ability I call futuresight, I can see seven seconds into the future, but if I use it for more than five seconds I could go blind." I said answering his question. "What! You can see into the future?! What am I about to do!?" He quickly asked me. I used my futuresight ability, my eyes turning a blank white colour. I could see tetsutetsu asking me a question and picking his nose. My eyes returned to normal after about three seconds and I replied to him with "You're going to ask me a question and pick your nose at the same time." Sure enough he said to me "Why do your eyes turn white when using your futuresight?" as he also began to pick his nose. He quickly realized this and yelled "What! No way! You can actually see the future!" I responded back to him "Believe it buddy."
As we continued to talk about my abilities, Mr. Kan entered the classroom and stood in the center. He told us to take our seats because he has an important announcement to make. "Listen up, today will be even tougher than the last! It is a hero's duty to uphold the law and take down any and all crimes. However, crimes are not the only duties hero's must undertake, sometimes they must put their own lives on the line and save others who are in need of your help, so today we will be doing rescue training! We'll be going to an off campus facility so meet down at the buses in fifteen minutes." He hit a switch that was on his desk at the front of the class. "These are you hero costumes specially made by our support classes. Their designs were made by you before you started your semester, you may wear your hero costume or wear your training uniform, the choice is up to you. Just don't take to long, i'll meet you at the bus." He left the classroom and we all grabbed our hero outfits. My costume looked similar to a fighter pilot's outfit, it was a one suited costume, black and red with a small oxygen tank built inside of it with a mask to go with it too. This would help me fly at greater heights and dive faster without the possibility of losing consciousness. Lastly were my specialized goggles that gave me a heads up display of my surroundings, thermal vision in case i'm working at night, and finally it came with an energy metre to help me know how much kinetic energy i've stored in my body. I quickly put on my costume and made my way down to the bus.
Imagine this is Cry's costume looked like, minus the helmet of course. It really sucks that I got the best picture of my costume from Fortnite.
Everyone exited the bus looking as excited as ever as we all gathered in a semi-circle around Mr. Kan who was standing in front of the entrance. He explained to us before we entered the building, "Now, this isn't playtime, you all must learn to focus on your task at hand and complete it successfully no matter what the cost. All of you will be given different rescue scenarios and you'll have to think quick in order to complete your missions. I'll be able to see everything each and every one of you do with the buildings security cameras so no slouching, got it!" We all quickly responded to him "Yes sir!" He responded back to us "Good, now let's begin, when you enter please grab one of the tablets on one of the tables, they have your scenarios that you will be placed in as well as the challenges you will have to overcome. For some of you, you will encounter other people who will try and stop you. You may use your quirks to your expense on them, they are professional stunt doubles and are willing to accept the pain that a real villain would accept, just don't go too overboard and hospitalize one of them. Now, enough talking, let's get started!"
We entered and grabbed our tablets. I was going to be in a hostage scenario, my goal was to rescue the hostage, defeat any villains on the scene, find any explosive devices, and do all of this within a half hour time limit. "How the heck am I supposed to do this in under a half an hour?" I asked myself. I looked over to some of my other classmates and noticed that some had the same scenario and that they would be working together or in roles of hero and victim, mine was a solo scenario though.
I arrived at my location waiting to start. I knew my instructions, what I had to do, but I was just thinking of how much psi I should use. "I should probably limit it to two thousand just to be safe, enough to knock someone out in one or two punches. Plus it won't cause any damages to myself." A buzzer sounded throughout the entire building and everyone began their scenarios. I was at what looked like a mansion. The windows were boarded up and doors were sealed shut. No easy way in but I noticed from a distance that part of the roof had a glass ceiling. I sprouted my dragon wings and flew up to the roof. I stopped before I made it over so I could spy over the edge to see if there was anyone there. Luckily I had thought of this because there was one person on guard with some weird looking gun. I lowered myself just a little bit so I wouldn't be noticed easily by him. When he got closer to me I let out a faint whistle to get his attention. He began to come over and when he peered over the edge I delivered a psi filled uppercut that knocked him out. I grabbed him before he completely fell over so no noise could be heard by anyone inside. After laying him down I made my way over to the glass ceiling. I barely peeked over the edge, just enough to see three guards walking around a room with a hostage in the center. The hostage was a girl who had her hands and feet duct taped together in front of her with some tape over her mouth to keep her quiet. And, after looking a little closer I noticed that there was a bomb taped to her stomach area. I looked at my time limit, twenty five minutes remaining, thinking to myself "I need a plan fast or else i'm gonna fail this scenario."
After about a minute of thinking I had come up with a plan, I would create a small explosion near the bottom floor outside of the building. This will get the guards attention and they will surely leave to investigate. While they're doing that I can sneak in through the glass ceiling and secure the hostage, taking her to safety and disarming the bomb. Then I would re-enter the mansion and take out the remaining guards. "Ok, let's do this!" I whispered to myself. I shot a small plasma blast near the front entrance of the mansion creating a small explosion. The guards began to move in that direction but one of them stayed behind to watch the hostage. "Damn, why couldn't you just go with them, just gotta make it harder." I thought to myself. When two of the guards left the room I used my plasma ability to melt a section of the glass ceiling, just big enough so I could easily fit through. I sprouted my wings and slowly descended myself into the room, trying to keep myself right above the guard so he wouldn't notice me. Upon being a few feet from the guard now I generated psi into my muscles and quickly hit him directly on the top of his head. I grabbed him before he fully fell over making his descent silent. I made my way over to the hostage. I grabbed her by her waist and sprouted my wings. I carried us both through my hole in the ceiling and sat her down on the roof. I took a look the bomb strapped to her and saw there was a red wire and a blue wire, of course. With their being two options, I decided to use my futuresight to see if cutting the red wire would be the correct option. It showed me an explosion engulfing myself and the hostage and I stopped my futuresight. I cut the blue wire on the bomb and it deactivated. I then cut the hostage free and told her to wait silently on the roof while I go and clean up the other guards. I sprouted my wings once more and descended into the room. I didn't land when I entered, I decided it was best to hover over the entrance they had left in because it was most likely they would return through that entrance and I could knock them out with a surprise attack. After a few seconds of waiting, the two guards returned through the entrance and found the hostage gone and the third guard knocked out on the floor. They quickly rushed to their comrade as I generated psi into my muscles. I flew over quickly and smashed one of the guards in the back of the head sending him sliding across the floor. The other turned around and was preparing to fire at me but I dodged as soon as he shot. I then grabbed the top of his head and shoved it into the ground with enough force to knock him out. After doing a quick search of the mansion, I determined that there were no more guards in the building. Before I left I tied up the guards with the duct tape that they had left lying around. I returned to the hostage and I completed my scenario.
I returned to Mr. Kan to inform him that I had completed my scenario. "I've finished sir, how did I do?" I asked him. "Not too bad at all Cry, you finished in nineteen minutes, pretty quick for that scenario. The only issue was leaving the hostage unguarded on the roof. The guard you knocked out could've woken up and taken her, jeopardizing your mission. Think about all outcomes and possibilities when in scenarios like this one, one mistake can spell disaster for everyone including you!" He explained to me. "Yes sir." I replied as I watched some of my classmates complete their scenarios on the security monitors with Mr. Kan.
After finishing all of our scenarios we returned back to UA for a quick speech from Mr. Kan before leaving to go home. "Well done everyone, almost all of you completed your scenarios successfully, some of you failing with great room for improvements. Learn from your mistakes and push on through it. During today's activities some of you stood out in my eyes and I would like to congratulate you for your work today. The first mention is to Kendo for her great leadership in her group effort during her scenario. The other mention is to Cry for his quick thinking and creative ideas. That is all for today, you're dismissed."
