Showtime!
I'm so worried about this chapter. Since I already said that it's only Midoriya who will be on combat, that means Cry will be working on the play for the entire time. That means I dug myself in a hole and I have to literally make up an entire play for class B. I have some ideas on what will happen, but how i'm going to come up with an entire play, I have no idea. And on top of that, I have to stuff it with R&J, HP, LotR, and SW references. All I can say is enjoy, because at least someone will like this.
Today was the day of the cultural festival, and we were to begin our show in one hour. "Where's Monoma guys? He was supposed to be here two hours ago!" I said to some of the other crew members. "We don't know. Maybe he's sick or something." Honenuki said as Tsuburaba came running in. "Bad news guys! Monoma hurt himself while practicing his sword skills! He's been taken to the hospital! Someone needs to take over for him! Who knows the script the best!?" He asked as everyone pointed to me. "Oh crap, I guess I don't really have a choice. Fine i'll do it, but someone will have to work the special effects for me." I said as everyone began to worry. "How're we supposed to pull off the same effects that you can do?" Kaibara asked as I began to glow and created a panel of controls behind our set. "I made this panel so that every control on it can either change the stage environment or make something appear. Just try and memorize all the changes in time!" I explained as I was taken away to get dressed up. I felt ridiculous, this was Monoma's idea and he wasn't here to do it. I was dressed up in a yellow Shakespearean suit, and torn pants. I was also wearing a fairly ripped cloak. "Where's my sword? I need to practice with it for a few minutes." I said as Yanagi handed me Monoma's sword. I took a few swings and did a few moves that I had seen on Game of Thrones. The minutes were ticking by, I had to stop practicing with my sword and go through my lines again. "Who wrote this?" I said out loud. "It was Monoma. This was his idea and he wrote the script for everyone." Kamakiri said. The script was a mess, and on top of that I had to go over the actions I would have to do. My ridiculous feeling turned into a stupid feeling pretty fast. "Maybe Eri will laugh because I look so stupid" I thought to myself.
-Time Skip: 1 Hour-
It was finally time to start our play. I felt as ready as I could be for someone who only memorized their lines and actions for an hour. Our program was going to start before class A's so I took a few quick seconds to see if Eri was in the crowd. I peered through the curtains, just enough to look out. I saw Eri and Mirio standing in the center of the crowd. "Here we go, here we go. This os for you Eri!" I said to myself as our play began.
The curtains rose up and Kaibara began narrating. "We'd like to tell you all a story. About two star-crossed lovers, attempting to find their ways to each other. On their journeys, each will overcome tremendous hardships, life-threatening obstacles, and tragic events. This is the story of Romeo, Juliet, and the Prisoner of Azkaban: The Return of the Kings. We begin our story with a simple farm boy. His name is Romeo." He said as I was revealed to the crowd. I let out a big smile and spoke my lines. "Ah, what a most heated day. I must finish these crops before winter arrives. My father, sir Montague is off on a quest, and with my mother's passing, I must tend to our homestead. But, with all these duties, only one thought lingers in my mind. Oh Juliet, where art thou? I've longed to hear your voice again. But your father, lord Capulet, wishes to separate us. But love is not something to be kept apart!" I said as Rosencrantz(Awase) and Guildenstern(Shoda) appeared on stage. "How art thou today, young Romeo?" Rosencrantz asked me. "Only wondering about fair Juliet. Tell me, is there news of the Capulets?" I asked them. Guildenstern then said "Only a terrible tragedy. It seems Ms. Juliet has been taken by Count Paris! He now keeps her in his tower!" "No, this cannot be? Why has he taken away my Juliet? He shall pay for his dark deeds!" I said as I unsheathed the sword in my hilt. "This journey you wish to begin will be a long one. One would not survive this trek alone. We shall join you, and save Ms. Juliet!" Rosencrantz said as both he and Guildenstern raised their swords along with me.
The scene then changed, we left the stage as Yanagi used my control panel to morph the stage to a castle tower. There, appeared Juliet(Kodai) and Count Paris(Tetsutetsu). "You will pay with your life for taking me Count Paris!" Juliet yelled to him. "We shall see fair Juliet. I'm sure Lord Capulet will send his finest guards to rescue you. They will fail, you shall be my queen! It is as I have foreseen!" Count Paris cried out. "How could you have foreseen this!? That is impossible!" Juliet said in disbelief. "It appears you are unaware of the power that I hold. I will show you then. Look on in horror, the events of the future!" Count Paris said as a projection appeared out of nowhere. Yanagi was using the panel to create an air bubble that would view a rehearsal of us. It showed Monoma who isn't here, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern arriving at the castle, confronting Count Paris. "What vision is this!?" Count Paris questioned as Juliet cried out with joy. "It is Romeo! He must know of what has happened! He will save!" She said. "Your precious Romeo will not make it to my castle alive! If he does choose to save you, he will face many dangers on his path. I have many servants hiding in every shadow, your Romeo will not succeed!" Count Paris said as he let out a villainous laugh.
The scene changed once again, back to me, Rosencrantz and guildenstern. The panel was used to change the stage to a lake setting. "Come now friends, this lake is but the first obstacle we must overcome!" I said. "This lake water looks poisoned, it is so black." Guildenstern said as he put his hands in the lake. As he put his hand in the water, a vine appeared and latched onto his wrist. "What trickery is this!" Guildenstern yelled out as something appeared from the water. "You are the ones who have tainted this land. And you will perish by my hand!" The voice said. Appearing from the water was the lake fairy(Shiozaki). "It is my duty to protect all creatures in the land, and yet you poison their ways of survival! You shall all die!" She said as she sent more of her vines at us. "Wait good fairy! I am Romeo, And we are not those who have poisoned your land. We only wish to pass through safely. We wish to slay the dreaded Count Paris and rescue Lady Juliet! I lay down my sword and accept any punishment you bring upon us!" I said as her vines stopped. "No evil would dare drop their weapon. You're either mad or stupid. But your actions show your heart." The fairy said as she retracted her vines, letting go of Guildenstern. "Count Paris is a master of dark magic. No ordinary swordsman can slay him. If you are to confront him, then you must also wield the element of magic. I bestow upon you, Romeo, a sacred blade, used to slay all evil. Although it had grown dull, its magic power is unrivaled." The fairy said as a sword appeared out of thin air. I took hold of my new sword and raised it into the air. "I give my thanks to you great fairy! I promise I shall return confront the evils that taint this land!" I said as the me, Rosencrantz, and Guildenstern crossed over the lake. "I wish thee safe travels. Be careful" The fairy said as the scene changed once again.
"Romeo and his companions traveled far and wide, trekking through vast canyons and treacherous swamps. They were nearing their journey's end soon as they arrived in a dark forest." Kaibara narrated as the curtain rose up again to reveal the forest stage. "This forest is smudged with a dark aura. Be on guard men." Rosencrantz said as we walked through the trees. Without warning, two wizards appeared before us, blocking our path. "We are wizards of the death eaters. We serve Count Paris and it is our duty to ensure your journey ends here! Expectosempra!" The female wizard yelled out as she took out a wand. A white projectile was fired from it, heading straight towards our heroes. "Magic!? Unsheath your swords men! It is time for battle!" I said as I used my sword to block the attack. The male wizard than spoke, saying "You wield a sword of magic power! No ordinary blade would stop our magic! It matters not, you shall still die here!" He said as he called out his attack. "Expellikedavra!" The wizard said as he too fired off a projectile at us. "This blade was bestowed on to me to face evil. Show me your power, oh mighty blade!" I said as the blade began to glow purple. I was using my quirk to make it seem magical by having it shoot off fireworks and other types of projectiles. "Take this evil wizards!" I cried out as I shot a firework at the male wizard. I destroyed his projectile and hit him directly in the chest. "AAAHHHHH!! Thou hast slain me. Please, you must run." He said to the female wizard. 'How dare you strike down my companion! You shall pay with your lives!" She yelled out as she used her wand to form a sword in her hands. "If it is a challenge of swordsmanship, then I shall be your opponent!" Guildenstern said as he stepped forward. I gave him my blade so he could combat her. "With the power of this enchanted blade, I shall slay you witch!" He cried out as he charged the female wizard. They clashed weapons, taking swing after swing at each other. "Your swordsmanship is impressive, most impressive. But now you die!" The female wizard said as she hit Guildenstern with the handle of her sword. He fell to the ground, defenseless. The wizard raised her sword into the air, preparing to bring it down onto Guildenstern. "I may be down, but I carry another sword!" Guildenstern yelled as he unsheathed his second blade. With the wizard having her arms in the air, Guildenstern had a free chance to strike her. He swung and sliced the wizards chest. "But how...could I be...defeated by normal humans." She said as she fell onto the ground, dying shortly after. Myself and Rosencrantz ran over to Guildenstern to assist him. "Art thou alright, Guildenstern? She delivered a few hits to you." Rosencrantz asked him. "I am fine, Rosencrantz. Tis but some scratches and bruises that I received. I shall live. Here Romeo, this belongs to you." He said as he handed me my magic sword. "My thanks Guildenstern. Now let us continue on our quest! We must save Lady Juliet!" I yelled out as the scene changed.
"After defeating the dark wizards, Romeo and his companions now faced another challenge. They came to a cave, and upon entering, found no light at all." Kaibara narrated. "Sir Romeo, can't thou use thine sword to muster up light?" Rosencrantz asked as I unsheathed my sword. "Oh great and powerful blade, please, share us your light!" I said as I made the sword glow. We could see now, the light emanating through the cavern. We traversed the cave for some time before coming to a halt. We entered a larger area, and standing before us, was a cloaked figure. "Welcome young travelers. I am Greyback(Bondo), king of beasts! I control all creatures in this land! Come to me oh mighty gryphons!" He yelled out as two gryphons(Tsunotori and Shishida) appeared by his side. "We do not bring you harm Greyback. We only wish to pass so we may confront the dreaded Count Paris and rescue Lady Juliet." I explained as he began to laugh. "My master laughs at your futile attempts to rescue the lady. He has sent to me to dispose of you travelers. Unleash your fury gryphons!" He said as the two gryphons took to the air and charged us. We all unsheathed our swords and prepared to fight. The larger of the two gryphons(Shishida) attacked me first. It went to grab me but I blocked its claws with my blade. It then grabbed my weapon and threw it away. "You're nothing without that weapon! Now die!" Greyback said as the gryphon continue to swipe at me with its claws. I unsheathed my other sword and blocked his other attacks. It yet again grabbed onto my sword but I did not let go this time. The gryphon took me and my sword into the air. "If we fight in the air, then we shall do it on my terms!" I yelled out as I swung myself from the sword. I grabbed one of the gryphons wings and used it to climb upon its back. I took out a knife from its hilt and held it high into the air. "Oh foul beast, begone with you!" I said as I stabbed the gryphon in the back. We plummeted to the ground, shaking the earth when we landed. The gryphons body gave me a cushion to fall on so I received little damage from the fall. We landed next to my magic sword, I picked it up and faced Greyback. "Your beasts are no match for me! Give up now Greyback and I may spare your life!" I said as I held my sword to his neck. "You may strike me down now, but my master has become more powerful that you could ever have imagined. You cannot win against such a foe!" Greyback said as I silenced him. "You shall share his fate!" I said as I thrusted my sword into Greybacks chest. "It...is done." I said as I looked to Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. They were not fighting the smaller of the gryphons now. "Sir Romeo, it appears that when you struck down Greyback, this gryphon was freed from his controls!" Guildenstern explained as the gryphon was prancing around the stage. "I'm sorry for slaying your friend, kind gryphon. I only hope I can repay you someday. For now, go an live your life!" I said as the gryphon took off through a hole in the ceiling. "Come now men, we must continue. Our goal is upon us!" I said as the curtain fell, and the scene changed once again.
"Our heroes had reached their goal. Count Paris's castle stood before them. Lady Juliet was within reach at last. However, Count Paris was waiting on their arrival, and prepared to meet our three heroes for a fight to the death." Kaibara narrated. The scene was now set outside of Count Paris's castle. "At last, we have finally made it to Paris's home. Lady Juliet awaits us in the tallest tower, we musn't stop now men!" I said as we all approached the entrance to the castle. The door to the castle dropped, revealing Count Paris himself. "I-It's Count Paris!" Rosencrantz said as the Count began to laugh. "Welcome foolish warriors! I am indeed Count Paris, Ghost of Azkaban! I foresaw you all meeting your demise at the hands of my minions but it appears you have defied my visions. So I will kill you myself! Come mighty dragon! Kill these fools!" He cried out as a black dragon appeared before us. It roared with fury and then spewed fire at us. "Quickly my friends, take cover!" I yelled as Rosencrantz and Guildenstern hid behind a rock. I was not quick enough so I unsheathed my magic blade and used it to block the flames. The fire was able to reach the cape I was wearing and began to burn it away. When the dragon stopped, I threw it off and charged the beast. "You hold what is dearest to me in this world, do not think that such a creature will stop me!" I cried out as I attacked the dragon. It began to breath fire at me again, engulfing my body. I continued my charge and eventually stood only inches from the dragon. My blade in hand, I thrusted it into the beasts mouth, slaying it. "I will save Lady Juliet!" I yelled as I struck down the beast. Count Paris looked in surprise to see me slay his precious beast. "You slay my beloved dragon. Sir Romeo, I will deal with you myself then." He said as he began to walk over to me. "Hear me Count Paris, Ghost of Azkaban! Returneth Juliet to me at once! In the name of my father, Sir Montague, I shall defeat you!" I said as I readied my sword. Count Paris then stopped and spoke to me. "Romeo, thou hath heard of thine father's travels yes? That he was sent to the king of Gondor. Alas, that was but a lie. I am your father Romeo!" The Count said which made me drop my sword. "No! NO!! It cannot be! That is impossible!" I yelled out. The count continued and said "Search thine feeling, you know them to be true. But even the ties of blood will not stop me from slaying you!" He said as he once again began to walk over to me. "You are not my father, and I shall kill you where you stand!" I cried as I picked up my sword and ran at the Count. I took my swing at him but his right arm turned to steel. He caught my blade and snapped it in two. "Such a toy cannot harm me!" He said as he took the broken but sharpened end of the blade. He then thrusted it into my chest. The pain was so intense, I fell to my knees and held my arms over the wound. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern emerged from the rock they were hiding behind to challenge the Count. "Foul villain. We shall avenge our friend! Prepare to meet your end!" They both yelled as they unsheathed their swords and attacked the count. The scene came to an end as the curtains dropped. The ending was upon us.
"From the tallest tower, Juliet observed the the confrontation that was occurring. She watched in horror as the dreaded Count Paris smited her beloved Romeo." Kaibara narrated. The scene opened up to the towers room, where Juliet was being kept. "No, this cannot be how it ends! I cannot watch my Romeo die to the hands of the Count! He must win!" Juliet said as she fell to her knees and began to cry. "You are my love! We must be together! If you die, then I shall have it so we meet each other again!" She said as she went over to a wall. On the wall were two swords. She took one of them off of its mantle and held it to her chest. "Oh happy death, and dear Romeo, we shall see one another in heaven." She said as she thrusted the sword through her chest. She then fell over, dying a quiet death. The curtains dropped and the crowd went silent.
The scene changed back to the front of the castle. "I will not die here. My dear Juliet is waiting for me! I will see her again!" I said as I slowly stood up. I slowly and painfully pulled out the broken end of the sword out of my chest. I screamed out in pain but pulled it right out. I then took the broken blade still in my hands and faced down the Count. He held up Rosencrantz by his neck with one hand. Guildenstern laid on the ground. He had perished from confronting Count Paris. "You will not win Count Paris. Even if I die, there will be another who will strike you down!" Rosencrantz said as he was choked to death by the Count. The count dropped him to the ground and turned to face me. "What a weak son of mine, about to die from a scratch!" He said as he began to laugh again. "You will not prevail Count Paris! I am Romeo, son of Sir Montague! With this blade of mine, bestowed on to me from the great fairy of the lake, I shall strike you down and end your reign of terror!" I cried out as I staggered over to him. "The blade you wield has no power over me. There is no point, just die!" The Count yelled as I approached him. I slowly lifted my sword into the air, readying it to slay Count Paris. "You took away the one I love, SO I WILL TAKE AWAY YOUR LIFE!!" I cried out as I swung the blade at the Count. He raised him arm, covered in steel, and guarded my attack. Something was different this time though as my blade cut through his steel and severed his arm. "AAAAAHHHHH! But how!? No magical weapon can harm me!" He yelled out in pain and confusion. I answered him and said "It is not just a magical blade, it is imbued with the love that I possess for Lady Juliet! Now perish Count Paris!" I screamed as I thrusted my broken blade into the Count's chest. He screamed in pain, spirits emerging from his body. And after some time, nothing remained of the Count but his cloak. The curtain fell one last time as we prepared for our final scene.
"With Count Paris vanquished, Romeo now climbed the stairs of his castle. He climbed and climbed but eventually came to the tower door. Inside, only horrors awaited." Kaibara narrated. I stepped inside the towers room and found Lady Juliet laying on the ground. She held a bloody sword in her hands, and I cried out with sadness. "NO! NOOOO! NO, YOU CAN'T BE DEAD!? PLEASE LADY JULIET, YOU MUSN'T BE DEAD!" I yelled as I ran to her and held her in my arms. I then stopped my crying and unsheathed my blade for the final time. "You are my love lady Juliet. Not even death shall keep us apart. I await you in heaven." I said as I took my sword and pierced my heart. I then fell over, laying on the ground. I slowly closed my eyes and died in peace. The curtain dropped and our play had come to an end.
The crowd gave us a standing ovation as the curtain rose again to reveal the actors. We all stood side by side and took a bow all at once. We had done it, I had done it. I made it through this play without any mishaps. And now the only thing left to do was see Eri. I looked through the crowd, trying to see her and Mirio. It was hard to spot them since everyone was standing up and clapping. My eyes spotted Mirio's stylish hair-do though and I looked to his arm. There sat Eri, and I looked at her face. My heart felt like it was really pierced though as I could see, that she was not smiling.
