This chapter will be from the point of view of Midoriya. It will showcase the rest of the training camp arc from the point where Tokoyami has regained control of Dark Shadow. Obviously with some added info though. Also, i tried my best to guess what Dabi's quirk actually did. I mainly used the info given by the official MHA Wiki page. Also, since this chapter is from Midoriya's point of view, I will be calling Bakugou "Kachan" until we switch back to Cry. Enjoy! 

We managed to stop Tokoyami and his Dark Shadow from going on a rampage thanks to Todoroki and Kachan. They created light and weakened Dark Shadow to the point where Tokoyami could regain control. Shoji was holding me with his dupli-arms, I could barely move from my fight against Muscular. "We need to protect Kachan and get him back to base camp." Let's head down the path, we'll be safer if we stay as a group." I said as everyone but Kachan nodded. "Listen here, I don't need any of you to protect me!" Bakugou yelled out but everyone ignored him and moved on. I noticed Todoroki was carrying one of the students from class B. It was Tsuburaba. "He must've inhaled to much of the toxic gas and passed out." I thought to myself. 

After a few minutes of walking, the five of us came across Uraraka and Tsu. Tsu was pinned by her hair to a tree. Uraraka had another girl with blonde hair pinned to the ground. Tsu saw us emerge from the bushes, "Quickly guys, help Uraraka!" She yelled out as the girl with blonde hair shoved Uraraka off of her. She then fled into the bushes, we lost sight of her instantly. We then came over to help the two girls. "Who was that girl just now!?" Todoroki asked. "She was one of the villains. She's crazy!" Tsu explained as I noticed the back of Uraraka's leg and her left arm were bleeding. "Uraraka you're hurt." I said to her. "It's not that bad. I can still walk fine. You're the one who looks terrible Deku." She said as she could see him, looking all beat up. Shoji interrupted the conversation, "There's no time to talk. Let's move." And we continued to head toward the base camp. I yelled to the girls before we left, "Come on, we're protecting Kachan as we make our way back. Help us out." However, Tsu and Uraraka only looked confused. Tsu spoke up and asked "If you're protecting Bakugou, then shouldn't he be standing here with you guys?" We all looked behind us and saw that Kachan was missing. "Where'd he go!? He was just behind us!" I thought to myself. Without warning, someone began to speak to us all. "Nice trick eh? I took the boy who you're speaking of with my magic." He said as we all looked up to see who it was. We saw a man wearing an orange trench coat, white and black mask, and a top hat. "A talent like his would be wasted if he were to become a hero. We'll provide him with a much grander stage where he will truly shine." The man said. I yelled out to him, "Give him back!" The man questioned what I had just said. "What an odd thing to say. Bakugou doesn't belong to anyone. He's his own person. Don't be so arrogant." The man said to me. Todoroki then created ice from his foot and sent it towards the villain. The man questioned Todoroki's actions, "Why the aggression? We merely wish to show him that there are options besides the fanatical world of heroes. It's important to choose a path that aligns with your core values after all." He explained to us. Shoji turned around and looked shocked. "It's not just Bakugou! Tokoyami's missing too!" He said as we all looked around to find Tokoyami, finding nothing. Todoroki looked back to the villain, "If you're monologuing because you think you've beaten us, you're mistaken!" He said to the villain. "It's a bad habit of mine, I was once an entertainer you know? Taking Tokoyami was a bit of improv on my own part." He said as he held up three balls in his hand. We knew two of them were Kachan and Tokoyami, but who was the third? Was it Cry? Had they gotten to him already? Todoroki created more ice as he attempted to freeze the villain again. He missed though and villain leaped away, trying to escape. "Apologies but sleight of hand and escape artistry  are my specialties, not combat. I'm not foolish enough to fight hero candidates from UA." He said as he reached for his ear. He seemed to be speaking into an ear piece. "Vanguard action squad, i've acquired out targets. Our little show has officially come to an end. Meet me at the retrieval point in five minutes for our final bow!"He said as he disappeared out of sight.

"They're going to take them, our friends!" Todoroki said. We all took after him, trying to get our friends back. We could see him jumping from tree top to tree top. "If only Iida were here." Uraraka said. I had to come up with a plan before we completely lost him. "Uraraka, you've got to make us float. Tsu, you launch us as far as you can using your tongue. Shoji, use your quirk to control our flight and hold me and Todoroki. Measure the distance with your eyes Uraraka, then when we've made it far enough, release us from your quirk!" I explained as everyone nodded. We all stopped and me, Todoroki, and Shoji all put our backs to each other. "Be careful Deku, it doesn't look like you can fight with those injuries." Uraraka said to me. "It's fine, I don't feel any pain right now! Now make us float." I said as she agreed and touched the three of us. We began to float in midair and Tsu wrapped her tongue around the three of us. "Hang on guys, things might get a little rough!" Tsu said as she pulled on her tongue. She sent the three of us flying in the direction of the villain. Shoji spread out his arms, they almost looked like wings. He grabbed on to me and Todoroki and we stabilized our flight. We were catching up to the villain in no time as we closed in. We crashed into him and we could feel that Uraraka released us from her quirk. With the villain in hand, we crashed towards the ground. We made sure the villain was beneath us as we landed on the ground, crushing the villains back.

As we were about to take our friends back, I looked up and some other people standing in front of us. The girl with the blonde hair was there and two other men. One was wearing a black coat and had stitches all over his body. The other was wearing a black and gray body suit. "Out of the way compress!" The man with the stitches said. The man with the top head did as he said and he disappeared from beneath us. The man with the stitches then fired a stream of blue flames at us. We backed away and prepared to fight. The man in the body suit leaped at Todoroki, he took out what looked like measuring tape. Todoroki fended him off though as he created ice spikes on the ground. I wasn't paying attention to what was in front of me though as I looked back and saw some weird tube flying at my face. I was just able to dodge as it grazed my face. The blonde girl then began to run at me. "Hi Izuku! My name's Toga!" She said as she jumped on me. She laid me out and pinned me with her legs. "I've been thinking since I saw you when I ran off, that you'd be so much cuter if you bled a little more!" She said as she raised a knife into the air, preparing to stab me. Shoji stepped in and struck her side, causing her to be sent away from me. She landed on her feet though and gave Shoji a dirty look. Todoroki continued to fight the man with the body suit, creating more ice in an attempt to freeze him. The man would only cut through the ice with ease though, with his tape measure that I figured out was incredibly sharp. As we were fighting, the man with the top reformed in the spot where we landed on him. I looked over to him and saw he was meeting with the man with the stitches. It looked like he was going to give Tokoyami, Kachan, and the other student to him as they were still in those balls. He couldn't find them in his coat pocket though and he quickly looked back to us. Shoji yelled out, "Todoroki, Midoriya, we're done here! He's shown off his best trick!" He said as he faced the man with the top hat. "I'm not entirely sure what your quirk is, but i'm guessing it has something to do with those balls you had. The ones you had stashed in your pocket." Shoji said as he held up the three balls. The top hat man began to compliment him, "Well colour me impressed. I'd expect no less from someone who has so many hands!" He said as the three of us began to run away. As we were making our escape, I looked into the woods and saw something coming out. It was a Noumu. We quickly turned and ran to our left but were quickly stopped again. The villain from the USJ attack with the warp gate quirk had appeared. We knew this was serious trouble now. "It's the warp villain! The one from the USJ!" Todoroki yelled as the villain began to speak to the others. "It's been five minutes since the signal. Let's go Dabi" He said while looking to the man with the stitches. He then opened up several warp gates, each in front of the other villains. The blonde girl and the man in the body suit left through their gates. The one called Dabi stood at the entrance to his gate with the top hat man. I could hear him speaking to him. "Hold on, we're not leaving without them." He said to the top hat man. I could only assume he meant Tokoyami, Kachan and the other student.

The man with the top hat turned and spoke back to Dabi. "Don't worry. They were so very proud of themselves for rooting through my pockets that I thought I'd let them gloat." He said as the three of us began to look stunned. He then turned to face us, "Then allow me to show a basic tenant of magic." he said as he took his mask off. "If i'm flaunting something shiny, it's because there's something else I don't want you to see." he said as he opened up his mouth. He revealed his tongue and on it were the three balls containing Kachan, Tokoyami and the third student. We could see them inside, and we confirmed that Cry was the last person in the balls. The top hat man then snapped his fingers and the balls that Shoji had in his hand turned to ice. "During the freezing attack you tried to hit me with, I made dummies and slipped them into pocket." He said while looking at Todoroki. He then began to walk into the warp gate and disappear. Before he could fully enter it though, a shiny laser appeared from a nearby bush. It was Aoyama. He shot his naval laser at the man with the top hat, destroying his mask and causing him to stop moving through the gate. The top hat man then coughed up the balls, Shoji and Todoroki attempting to grab them. Shoji was successful and he grabbed the ball containing Tokoyami. Todoroki tried to take the balls containing Kachan and Cry but they were swiped from him by Dabi. "Well isn't that a tragedy. Poor little Shouto Todoroki." He said as he shoved Todoroki away. He then ordered the top hat man to release the students from their balls to confirm who they had taken. All of the balls disappeared and Tokoyami appeared next to Shoji. After him, Kachan appeared in front of Dabi, he wasn't facing him though and Dabi was able to grab his neck, making sure he couldn't run away. The last person to appear was Cry, he was laying on the ground, the top hat man pulling into the warp gate. I could see that Cry was unconscious and bleeding, he must've fought someone before they caught him. I ran towards the villains as they walked through the warp gate. The top hat man fully entered first, dragging Cry with him. I reached out to grab Kachan, but he spoke to me and said "stay back, Deku." Kachan was pulled into the warp gate and it vanished before I could go through. 

I had no words, two of my friends were just taken from me, right in front of me. All I could do was cry, knowing that they were in the hands of villains. No one else could bring themselves to say anything either. We all couldn't believe what just happened. I let out a horrifying scream, and all I could think of was "What more could I have done to save my friends?" On that fateful day, we were aiming to be heroes. But we failed, and the villains won.
