Chapter 7 and 8: S-Class and Acnologia

It was the first day of the S-Class trials and we were on a boat. The salty sea air felt amazing as I had my eyes closed. A small smile on my face at the peacefulness of it all while the whole boat was filled with chatter, fighting and groaning. I stood in a black t-shirt and black swim trunks. I had on some sandals and my dragon necklace was out. It was given to me by Darkrin when we were training. It was made out of black onyx and the eyes were white diamonds. She had a dragon named Redwriter, a Dragon of Fire and Precious Metals, mold and create it for her. It supposedly had magical properties, but I was too out of it to pat much attention. "Ahhhh... I love the smell of the ocean!" I said with glee. I turned around and looked at everyone on the boat. Natsu was beside me, throwing up his breakfast and groaning. Gajeel was in the same position as Natsu, same as poor Wendy. Abbey tried to help them, but it didn't work. Juvia was clinging to Gray in a blue and white stripped bikini while Gray was in a pair of dark blue swim trunks and a Hawaiian looking shirt. Lisanna was arguing about something with Elfman while Lucy and Abbey were sunbathing and talking. Evergreen, a brown haired woman with glasses and green eyes wore a green dress and black leggings, was talking to a man named Bixlow, who wore a blue coat and a helmet.

Natsu looked at me with resentment and asked quietly "How... can... you sur... BUUMG... vive this?" I looked down at him and said "Just because I am one, doesn't mean I'm like that." He also had a dragon pendant. It was made out of fire opal and had red ruby eyes. "Are you ready to do the plan?" I asked. Natsu nodded and stood straight, as if he didn't have motion sickness at all. "Good... After that, the forces of darkness will lose a major player." I said. "Oh? And what does that imply, Robert?" Master asked, rather loudly. It got everyone's attention and made them look in our direction. Abbey and Lucy looked worried and Wendy acted like she never had motion sickness and held a guarded look in her eyes. I gave Master a fake smile and asked "What do you mean Master? I never said that!" "Yes you did. You said that the forces of evil will lose a major player. What did you mean?" He asked, glaring at Natsu and I. My smile fell and I met his glare. My dark aura exploded as I requiped my boots on. "Watch what you ask Master. You may not like the outcome." I told him, darkly. Everyone except Wendy, Natsu, Lucy and Abigail, got into a defensive position. Before anyone jumped at me, Lucy yelled out "Look! Tenroujima!" We all looked towards the head of the boat and saw the Island.

Tenroujima, or Tenrou Island, was a forested island with very little beach areas. In the center of it was a giant tree. It is the birth home of Fairy Tail's first master, Mavis Vermillion. "We will continue that conversation at a later date Robert, but for now, I want everyone to get ready. The trails start in 3!" All the contestants stood beside their partners and glanced at everyone else. "2!" Abbey and I went back to back, went to our knees and held our hands together. "1!" We looked towards the sky and closed our eyes, feeling our magic. "GO!" Master yelled. "Dark/Light Barrier!" We both yelled. A dome of dark and light energy burst into existence and covered the entire boat. "What the-!" Gray yelled out, looking at the barrier. "They covered the entire boat!" Lisanna exclaimed. "Abbey, what do you think we should do?" I asked, taking off my t-shirt. "Well, obviously leave them here!" Abbey said, standing on the railing of the boat. Everyone looked at us in surprise as I joined Abbey. "What are you two doing?" Master asked. "Dark wings!" I yelled. A pair of demon black wings grew on my shoulders and stretched out. "Light Dragon Wings!" Abbey chanted. White, scaly dragon wings grew on her back and spread out. "Peace out!" We said with a grin, flying in the air and towards the island.

"ROBERT!" Everyone yelled in anger. As we flew through the air, I flew down and touched the water. A spray of salt water flew into the air, concealing our scents from Natsu, Wendy, Gajeel, and Lucy. When Abbey and I made it to the island, we got rid of our wings and snapped our fingers. "Few! That was draining..." Abbey said, stretching her arms above her head. "Okay... there seems to be five paths. A, B, C, D, and E." I said, examining the environment. I pointed towards A and looked at Abbey with a questioning look. Abbey shook her head no and said "C!" I sighed in defeat and said "B it is..." We went into the cave marked B. It was a sunken ruin and water had submerged a part of it. Cavern after cavern were submerged in water. Standing in her usual Heart Kreuz armor was Erza. Her scarlet red hair flowing down her armor like dark blood. The look in her eyes was deadly. "Shit..." I said, requiping my scythe. The Celestial Bronze gleamed in the low light in the cavern. "Aw man!" Abbey whined, her fists glowing in light.

Erza smirked. "And you came so far. Seems like you lost Robert." Erza said, requipping into her Armadura Fairy armor. The armor was a dual toned armor is composed of a simple pink breastplate joined to the collar, which sports a heart centered between two wing-shaped epaulettes. The pauldrons are structured by two pink plates, faintly shaped like wings, consecutively surmounted by one another and pointed downwards. They are adorned by intricate ornamental wings on each pauldron. The gauntlets completely envelop her arms and feature prominent feather-shaped decorations pointing backwards in correspondence to her wrists. The waist guard is made up of plates attached to the breastplate, surrounded by a thin belt around Erza's waist, and has a short, pinkish white skirt underneath covering her upper thighs. In the anime, her waist guard has been substituted by a tasset, similar to her pauldrons, with the upper white edges jutting over a thick brown belt separating the tusset from the breastplate. Her greaves reach up to the center of her bare thighs and possess feather-like ornaments protruding from the upper edges of her greaves and the lower edges of her knee guards, which have similar motifs carved on them, and each sport a pair of small wings, one attached to the knee guard and one in correspondence to Erza's ankles. The armor is complemented by a large tiara adorning Erza's head, with feather-shaped protrusions jutting out horizontally, and a large purplish white cape. In this outfit, Erza's hair is styled into a pair of braids that flow down from the back of her head.

"Hmm... this might prove to be rather difficult Abbey. Watch my back?" I asked Abbey. "Always." She said with a grin. I slowly walked to Erza, my boots making my aura grow stronger. "You know Erza, when I found out I had magic, I was scared." I explained. I got rid of my scythe and my fists glowed with darkness. Erza got into a defensive position. "I was trained by two very strong beings and an Oracle. One was a god of darkness who made me test my new spells I learned from the other being on him." I continued. Erza's eyes widened as I requipped my armor on me. I left the helmet off and Erza backed up. I spread my wings wide and rose off the ground. I looked down at Erza and said "That being... Was a Dragon." Before Erza could do a thing, I yelled "Dark Dragon Roar!" A blast of darkness left my open mouth, hitting Erza in the gut and sending her into the wall. I landed and requipped into my swim trunks again. Erza slowly got up, leaning on her sword. "Sneaky... not telling us you were a Dragon Slayer..." She said, requipping. She wore long pants that had flame designs at the cuff of it and had bandages covering her front.

I quickly grabbed my scythe and had darkness cover the blade. Abbey got beside me and was in a defensive position. "But it will be your downfall!" Erza yelled, requipping two katana's into each hand. She launched at us. I swiped my blade at her, blocking her strike and Abbey dove under us and delivered a flurry of swift punches into Erza's abdomen. Erza chocked on air and was sent flying upwards. I got rid of my scythe and ran as Erza descended to the ground. "Dark Dragon Claw!" I yelled. My right foot became encased in darkness. When Erza came into range, I kicked her towards Abigail. "Fore!" Abbey yelled, clasping her hands together and making a batting motion, sending Erza into a wall. Dust covered where she ended up. When the dust set, Erza was still standing, but with new armor on. Almost every part of this armor is seemingly made of silver metal. The upper part of this armor only consists of a small breastplate that is composed of feather-shaped plates pointing upwards with a large metal flower on the front which extends along her hips. Her biceps are covered by metal straps and her very large plated gauntlets sport feather-shaped plates at the edges.

Her waist is circled by large, decorated plates reminiscent of feathers that lie on a long skirt. She wears a pair of plated boots which is partially hidden under her skirt, each sporting metal ornaments shaped like wings. Erza also wears a neck guard made of feather-like plates and a tiara with prominent metal wings. The armor also sports two pairs of large metal wings which adorn Erza's back, composed of metal feathers which get longer and larger at the edges. Each hand held a small short sword. "Circle Sword!" Erza yelled. Multiple more swords appeared around her as she floated in the air. "Dance, my blades!" Erza chanted. The swords spun in a circle around her and launched at us. I managed to dodge, but Abbey got hit, full force. "AAAAHHH!" Abbey yelled in pain, collapsing. "Abigail!" I yelled for her. "Not so fast!" Erza said, appearing in front of me. I stumbled backwards and she yelled "Pentagram Sword!" I received multiple slashes in the shape of a star on a pentagram. I gasped in pain. I fell to my knees beside Abbey, panting hard.

Erza held me at sword point and said "You lose." She was about to go in for the strike when I yelled "Wait!" Erza halted her movements, confused. "What's wrong?" She asked. I stayed quiet, but felt my strength slowly return. "Well?" She asked, impatiently. That's when she noticed my wounds closing. "WHAT!?" She yelled out in confusion. "Heal." Abbey croaked. I then yelled "Dark Dragon Roar!" My opened mouth released a blast of darkness knocking Erza away. Erza screamed in pain as she slammed into a wall, an explosion of rubble and dust flying in the air. When the dust settled, Erza was unconscious in the wall, back in her Heart Kreuz armor. The gate I just noticed opened. I picked up a weak Abigail, all battered and bruised, in a princess style. I was in the same condition, though all of my major injuries were closed. I walked out and came across a clearing with everyone else, except Elfman and Lisanna's team. Natsu noticed us and paled. "Robert! Abigail!" Natsu called out, rushing towards us. Everyone else saw us and came towards us. "What happened!?" Wendy asked, concerned. She started healing Abbey who tried to make her stop. "Abbey! You took the full force of Erza's Circle Sword. Let her." I told Abigail, shocking everyone. Abigail let out a defeated sigh. "Fine..." She mumbled, unhappy.

"Robert faced Erza and won!?" Juvia asked in shock. "Almost lost. Only reason I won was because Abbey used the last of her magic to heal any major injuries. Luckily for me, I had Erza in close proximity." I said, placing Abigail on the ground and sitting beside her. "What happened to you guys?" I asked. Gray's and Juvia's team supposedly had to go up against two random monsters while Natsu's group got the easy route. That's when Laxus and Mira came in, carrying an unconscious Erza. Erza had a bloody gash on her head and bruises everywhere on her body. Everyone gasped and looked at me in shock. "May have went over board." I muttered. "Wendy! Help!" Mira asked. Wendy left Abigail, who was now resting peacefully, alone and went to help Erza. "What happened!?" Gajeel asked. "Don't know! We found Erza like this in a wall and not moving. Her whole arena was even more destroyed. Rubble everywhere." Laxus explained our now destroyed arena.

Everyone snapped their heads towards me as I coughed. "Umm... my bad... needed to hold back on the power... She should wake in the next couple seconds!" I said. As if on cue, Erza gasped awake and sat up. She looked at her surroundings and saw me. "Well... you won." She said, a small smile on her face. I gave her a grin. "But you gave me a run for my money! If it was just me, I would have lost!" I explained. Erza gave a light chuckle. "Says the one with the trick up his sleeve, eh?" She asked. "Umm, I'm lost!" Gray said. "Its seems like our friend Robert here was a Dragon Slayer this entire time." We heard Master say from behind us. I looked towards the pathways and saw Master there with a small smile and 6 floating Lacrima Screens. They showed what each team did in their trial. The top screen was Abbey and I's battle against Erza. I let out a defeated sigh and fell backwards onto my back. "AW MAN! Wanted to hold onto that secret longer!" I yelled out.

"Seems like I should tell my secret as well..." Lucy said. "What secret Lucy?" Mira asked. "Well, I just recently trained with a dragon as well. I'm a Celestial Dragon Slayer." Lucy explained. Everyone gasped. "That means we have 8 Dragon Slayers in the guild!" Laxus exclaimed. I nodded. "Anyways, I need Laxus and Gajeel for a second. I need to talk to them about something important." I said, getting up. Both Dragon Slayers looked in my direction. "Actually... I need all the Dragon Slayers to follow me." I said, motioning them to follow me as I walked out of the clearing. They all followed me onto the beach, where Elfman and Lisanna and their partners were. All four of them looked battered and bruised. "You guys may want to move. We need to do something." I told them. The four of them looked confused, but moved nonetheless. "Okay! I want all of us Dragon Slayers to form a circle." I commanded. They other 7 nodded. We formed a small circle. "Okay. Now release some of your power." I said, looking down to making sure I requipped my boots on. That's when the air around all 8 of us got dangerous.

I looked up and released my power along with everyone else. Around Laxus were sparks of electricity and the air gained a metallic taste to it. Gajeel released a silver aura and his skin slowly turned into metal. Lucy was shining bright and all of her spirits stood behind her, grin and small smiles on their faces. Wendy was in the center of her own miniature tornado and the wind was going crazy. The rest of the guild were trying to hold on and stay on the ground. Natsu was in the center of his own inferno, scorching the land around him. Abbey was giving off her own light source and shining brighter then the Sun. As for me, my dark powers was eating away at some of the light, but not all of it. A distant roar of rage could be heard off in the distance. A magic circle formed in the middle of us and a horrified Diana walked out from it. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? It will summon him here and he will kill you!" Diana said, her blonde hair flying everywhere as the wind became stronger. "Sorry My Queen! But he needed to be saved!" I told her. Now the roaring got louder. I slammed my fist on the ground, canceling all of our powers. It sent everyone flying backwards, including Diana.

"How will you save him!? Nothing can save him now!" Diana replied. "That's what you think. Abbey!" I called, standing back up. "I can purify him with my light. It may break Zeref's hold on him." She said, standing up as well. The other 6 were unconscious and Lucy's spirits were gone. "ROBERT! WHAT IS HAPPENING!" Master called out to me. The wind didn't slow down, but became even worse. The roar sounded even closer and the rest of Fairy Tail paled. "No..." Erza said, requipping into her Heaven's Wheel armor. Diana squeaked and got behind me as I turned around towards the ocean. Abbey appeared beside me. Both of us requipped into our armor. My black one stood beside Abbey's white one. Abbey's was almost like mine, but more feminine and more white. Her pearls were a pale white and her wings were like mine as well. That's when he arrived. Acnologia.

"Acnologia!" Diana yelled out in pain and fear. The dragon had black scales with light blue swirl designs in it. His underside was a pale color and his eyes were pure white. He gave an angry roar and shined. When the light left, he stood in front of us in human form. He was a muscular young man with long, dark blue colored hair. He had a sharp gaze filled with malice. His eyes have black circles around them. He is dark-skinned, and on his body he bears the same light blue markings he does when he is a Dragon. a high collared, black cloak (which also bears his draconian markings), sharp red claws around his neck, a sash around his waist, a gold arm ring tightened around his right upper arm, and baggy pants which are decorated the same as the most former article of clothing. "Brother..." Diana called out softly. That raised a gasp from the Fairy Tail group. "So... it seems like you still live little sister." He sneered. "Acnologia! It seems like we need to talk." I said, my voice sounded commanding and deadly. Acnologia gave me a glare. "You can't defeat me... even if you tried!" He said, his fists covered in a purple, and deadly magic.

"The powers of the Apocalypse... So he is classified as a Dragon of the Apocalypse now..." Diana said in a quiet tone. She leaned her forehead on my back and I could feel it shaking slightly. A small sob left her. "Abbey..." I said. "Roger." Her voice said, stiff and emotionless. We launched ourselves at Acnologia and attacked. I had made a plan. While I distracted him, Abbey would go in from behind in a pincer movement. He punched me in the face and his magic blasted my helmet off. I groaned in pain, but quickly kicked him in the gut, sending him backwards a bit. "Now!" I called the signal. Abbey ran behind him and released a flurry of punches filled with light. It sent him flying towards me and I kicked him into the ground. Diana released a small scream. As he was beginning to get up, a blast of wind kept him down. I looked towards the fallen Dragon Slayers and saw them standing. Wendy had her hand towards Acnologia. I looked back at Acnologia and was met with a fist. I was sent backwards into a tree. "Robert!" I heard everyone yell. I must have blacked out for a second, because when I looked up I saw all of Fairy Tail surrounding a fallen Acnologia and Diana having her right foot on him.

I slowly got up and walked towards the fallen dragon. "Now!" I said. Lucy and Abbey held his arms down as Natsu and I held onto his leg. Wendy sat on his chest. Then we started to chant "Oh, brother of our Queen. Remember the past and forget the present. Destroy the dark power controlling you. Let the dark wizard's magic vanish and live with your beloved sister again.-" Acnologia screamed in pain as a white magic circle appeared under him. "-Oh goddess of dragons, Tiamat, listen to us! Save this dragon from the wizard Zeref!" we finished. With one last howl of pain, Acnologia fainted. Us Dragon Slayers slowly got off him one by one, starting with Wendy. "Did it work?" Lucy asked. I shrugged, requipping back into my original clothes. Abbey did the same. Our bodies were even more bruised and I had blood going down my left arm and it felt numb.

His limbs were starting to move. "He's waking!" I said. We all looked at the man and saw his eyes opening. "Ow... what happened?" he said, rubbing his head. Diana let go of us and hovered her head over the man. "Is that really you? Acnologia?" she said. Acnologia looked at Diana and his eyes softened. "Oh my God... Diana..." he said. I smiled at the brother and sister reunion. "Are you okay?" Diana asked. "I remember everything... the spell Zeref used on me, me turning on you, all the destruction I did... I can't forgive myself." Acnologia said, sadly. "You can repent." I said. The brother and sister looked at me. "Yeah. Repent. And I have the perfect job for you!" Diana said. "Okay... what is it?" Acnologia asked. "As Dragon Queen, I command you to first, forgive these Fairy Tail mages from when you attacked them." Diana commanded. Acnologia got up, walked towards Master Makarov, and lowered his head. "I apologize for nearly killing you and nearly destroying this island." Acnologia said. The mages were stunned. The most powerful dragon that was given the title 'the Dragon of the Apocalypse', was apologizing to them. "You are forgiven. I was told that Zeref had you under his control?" Master asked. Acnologia nodded. "Now the second command is to train Robert in your magic." Diana said.

"What!? Why?" Acnologia asks. "So he knows what to deal with. Besides, I need you to tell me all about what happened." Diana said. Acnologia just smiled and nodded. That's when I started to sway and get light headed. The wound on my left arm must have hit an artery and I was losing blood. "Robert?" Abigail called. "Sleepy." I said, falling backwards. "NO! Stay awake!" Abigail said, apearing above my head. "Goodnight..." I said, fainting.
