Part 30
"Kid, I say it before, I say it again. If you call me one more time at this ungodly hour, I'm gonna grind those balls of yours and feed it to the dogs!" Zahra screamed through the speaker made Alex pulls back a few inch from his ear.
"You don't have a dog!" He argued back.
"I would get a dozen one if that would keep you away!" She argued back.
"Zar-"
"Alex, I told you, me and Shan are trying to have a baby and it doesn't help when you constantly disturbing us at this time of the night asshole!" Zahra screamed in frustration but Alex couldn't help but cringing at what he just heard.
"Oh God, I didn't need to hear that." Alex mutters watching as Cash pressing his lips from breaking into a laugh from his interactions with her.
"Zar, I'm so sorry but I really need your help. You and Shan." Alex plead desperately. He could hear her sighed into the speaker and starts rustling.
"What do you need?" She asks impatiently.
"ALEX!" Nora screamed stopping him from saying anything further but immediately rushed into the guest bedroom with heart racing in his throat.
His face paled when he saw Henry's on the floor with his whole body twitch and jerked into a seizing fits and Nora by his head holding it from banging on the floor repeatedly. He knows she worried the stitches might reopened if she didn't protect it.
"Zar I need you to come here right now! Tell Shan it's Henry." Alex begged before ending the call. He didn't bothered to hear her protest or asking more questions and focused on Henry on the floor with Cash rolling him to the side.
"What happened?" Alex asks tossing his phone to the floor before rushing to Henry's side. "What do you think happened? He was supposed to be in the hospital remember?" Nora yelled at him but Alex was already contemplating in bringing Henry back to the hospital if not for the image of him terrified earlier stopping him from doing so.
"Enough Nora! Don't think I would want that? You saw how he acted earlier after he woke up. Imagined if he woke up later and found himself at the same place we took him out from? Plus, I called Zahra." Alex told her and felt Henry finally coming down from his seized.
"Oh, that's a relief! What exactly she can do Alex?! There is no monitor to check his heart, no drugs! And don't mentioned that no special skills between us!" Nora yelled at his face still keeping Henry's head between her hands.
"Oh I got skills alright! I can conjured people up and made them disappear by a snap of my finger!" Alex yelled back at Nora's face.
"You are an idiot you know that!" She yelled again.
"Call me an idiot again then I'll make you disappear!" Alex snapped.
"ENOUGH! BOTH OF YOU ARE FUCKING IDIOTS RIGHT NOW!" Cash yelled snapping them both back to him with a rage look between their eyes.
"Look, Henry is hurt. Whatever trauma he had in the past, it's best not to bring him back to the hospital. Plus he wasn't scared just by being there, he was beyond terrified of having his name now in the system!" Cash yelled between them both and he could see the drop on their face after they heard him.
"Henry said something about someone will find him. If he's in the system that means he is exposed." Nora stated bringing Alex's worried gaze back to her.
"That can easily fix. I just need to make sure he's alright first." He says looking down at Henry's lying on his right wearing his recently changed of clothes but couldn't help noticed the wet patched on his sweatpants.
"I'll help changing him. Nora you wait for Zahra and opened the door for her." Alex says while Cash helping him gathered Henry in his arm.
"N-No. I'll changed him and Cash can help me." Nora says pushing Alex's hand from touching Henry.
"Nora, you can barely get him out of the clothes while he's awake what makes you think you can get him out when he's unconscious?" Alex asks but Nora wasn't gonna allow him to see Henry without his consent knowing how much it would exposed Henry's past.
"I can handle it Nora. Nothing would change my mind about him. I know he had secrets but there is nothing for you to be scared of right now alright?" He assured her after he carried Henry's limp body off the floor in his arm.
Nora shifted her gaze towards Cash next to her and nodded weakly at her. "I'll help him. You go and wait out in the living room and pour yourself some drinks. It's going to be a long night for all of us." He gestured her and starts helping Alex to put Henry in the tub to clean him.
.
Nora paced around the living room when she heard the doorbell chimed and immediately rushed to the door. As the door flung opened, it wasn't Zahra that barged in but rather Shan looking frantic and worried. "Where is he?" He asks panic-stricken, looking around the loft when Nora pointed at the closed bedroom door and he didn't hesitate before he rushed himself there.
"You guys wanna explain what have you been doing or should I just wait for Alex to tell me?" Zahra asks after she closed the door behind her.
"Best if we wait for everyone to gather and tell it all at once. I'm tired having to repeat myself." Nora explained and she rolled her eyes at her before rolling her quite huge luggage towards the bedroom.
.
Alex watched as Cash carefully lowered Henry's pants down exposing his naked self from waist down. He wanted to take that chances to peek but somehow deep inside, he chose to shift his gaze someplace else letting Cash washed him with warm water before dapping him dry with the clean towel he had got him.
He doesn't want the first time he sees Henry naked to be this way especially when Henry is being unconscious. He won't forgive himself if Henry knew and got upset because he wasn't able to protect his privacy from everyone around him.
So Alex respected him enough to let Cash the one that changed him while he held Henry up after they washed him.
They both snapped when the door of the bathroom flew opened to reveal Shan in heavy breaths, eyes blazing towards Henry's unconscious state in Alex's arm while Cash pulled up clean sweatpants over his waist.
"What happened?" He asks brushing Henry's hair back from his face and Alex couldn't help shot his head at Cash standing next to him.
"Let's get him to bed first." Alex says and Cash helped carrying Henry in his arm replacing Alex knowing how exhausted he must be after today.
They both tried not to extend Henry's left arm wide knowing he broke his collarbone and he would be in tremendous pain after so Cash decides to carry him bridal style instead although Henry's weight doesn't bother him that much rather than the bodies he had carried in his life.
Zahra waited for Alex to place him on the bed before starts checking on him. Inside the big luggage she carried, contains a large amount of medical device and supplies that she needed. The room is going to look like a portable clinic by the time she's done setting up.
She placed the monitors on the bedside before wrapping a cuff on Henry's arm and pressed the button. While the cuff pressed, she didn't waste time setting up her other stuffs while the rest of them stood there and wait for her instructions.
"His blood pressure and heart rate is a little low. What happened? Tell me briefly." She didn't even batted an eyes nor lift her head to hear them when Alex came to her side hovering behind her keeping his gaze at Henry still unconscious in bed.
"He got mugged." Alex starts darting Shan's eyes sharply at him.
"He was pushed down the stairs and- " Alex paused pressing his lips together from trembling.
"Christ, he was left alone in the snow all night." He says letting his tears pooled in his eyes as he watched Zahra putting a line in Henry's arm.
"I don't need you to cry Alex, I want you to tell me why the fuck he is here and not in the hospital?" Zahra snapped still keeping her gaze at the task in hand before Alex continued.
"We were. As soon as he woke up, he was- not himself." He says.
"What do you mean?" Shan asks as Zahra starts priming the clear fluids bag into the line for him. "He was screaming, fighting everyone and everything, pulling everything out and beyond terrified." Alex continued and Zahra had that odd look on her face lifting her gaze towards her husband on the other side of the bed.
"What?" Alex asks noticed the exchange look between them.
"Henry had some bad experienced in the past regarding hospitals. He hated them but it didn't stop them from cuffing him on the bed and injecting him with relaxant." Shan says briefly without exposing Henry's secret to Alex.
"That's why he was so terrified." Cash mutters behind them while they all watched as Zahra handed Alex the clear bag in his hand and asks him to raise it higher. Alex frowned at her gesture before she lifted his elbow higher.
"Be useful, you're tall enough to be a pole." She says and Nora can't help snickered a smile besides Cash watching as she instructed Alex to do stuffs for Henry. She figures it's a payback for calling her in the middle of the night and she was having fun bossing him around for once.
"Broken collarbone is nothing surgically to be done, it will healed by itself as long as he kept the sling on. But hypothermic is not a joke. Low body temperature would make his organ damaged and his brain received low oxygen can cause permanent nerve damaged." Zahra began to explain from her experienced as a nurse before when she decides to stop working her crazy hour at the hospital and starts doing small business of helping people at home so she could focus on building her own family.
"What do we do now?" Nora asks watching as she pulled Henry's collar down to see the bruised formed on his skin.
"For now, we should let him rest. The fluids will help him but we'll know soon after he wakes up." She says closing the luggage while Alex still stood holding on the clear fluid bag in his raised hand.
.
Zahra watched as her husband held Henry's hand by his side attentively sensing how weird for him to care for someone she didn't even knew exist that Shan claimed from his past. She couldn't help feeling there's more to his side of the story of working with Henry's family in the past to assure her but she won't asks him now knowing she would have the advantage of asking him back home.
"How long will it take for him to wake up?" Alex asks after almost half an hour standing holding the fluid bag when it's finally finished. He sat on Henry's bed watching him sleeps when he realized how the time had past three in the morning.
"No clue but I'm gonna go home and rest." Zahra said clearing her stuffs and starts pulling the luggage handle next to her. Shan looked up meeting her gaze in disappointment when she told him she wanted to leave.
"I think I'll stay." Shan says but Zahra was not gonna let him stay while she has thousands questions in her mind right now.
"Shan Shrivastava, you get your ass up and take me home. I'm tired, cranky and I am not gonna go home alone." She instructed and Shan kept his gaze on Henry's pale hand in his grip. It's been a while since he held Henry's hand and the last time he did, his hand barely covers his and Henry was merely a teenager out of Eton at the time.
""Shan, it's fine. Come back tomorrow. Well, today- later I mean." Alex told him and Shan hides the tears in his eyes before he stood. His hand brushes Henry's blonde hair back from his forehead staring at the bruised form on the side of his cheek.
"Tell me you're gonna do something about the person whom responsible for this?" Shan asks with his voice breaks.
"Considered it done." Alex replied with no hesitation.
Shan turned followed by his wife behind him while Alex still waiting by Henry side on the bed. Nora had fallen asleep on the couch while Cash left Alex's apartment an hour before to rest leaving only him and Zahra the only one left.
The moment they got into their cars, Zahra turned her body sharply facing her husband as Shan was putting on the seatbelts over his body.
"You got two seconds to explain what the hell is going on between you and prince charming upstairs or I'll divorce you right here, right now." Zahra threatened.
Shan sighed staring at the space between the steering wheel before he turned to face her fury gaze and blazing eyes at him.
"I tell you but you can never, ever tell anyone, especially Alex." Shan starts and Zahra clenched her jaw at him before she nods.
"Let's go home and I'll tell you everything. You're gonna need a drink after." He says while starting the car. "You know I don't drink. We're trying for a baby, I can't drink." She told him and he sighed.
"Suit yourself. I'm gonna need that drink." He says steering the car to exit the parking lot.
.
"Fuck!"
"I know."
"Fuck!"
"I know, breathe babe."
"I need that drink!"
Zahra didn't hesitate when she poured herself a glass of whisky and gulped it in seconds before she poured another.
"Why did you tell me that?! Oh fuck! You shouldn't have told me Shan! What the hell were you thinking?" She poured another glass and took a swift gulp before pouring another.
"You wanted to divorce me so I had to let you know the truth." Shan says keeping himself calm on the couch after he told her the truth about Henry's past.
"Well yeah because I thought you and him had history like- intimate kind." Zahra asks bringing the glass and sat herself down next to him on their couch.
"Euw, that's disgusting." Shan cringed at the image she had in her mind.
"How the hell am I supposed to know it was way more fucked up than this!" Zahra sighed resting herself against the leather couch next to her husband.
"Ten years. For ten fucking years he was locked up in that shit hole? Tortured, experimented, raped?" She asks and Shan kept his gaze low on the half filled glass in between his palm.
"I assumed, Cash told me he is the exact poster boy for PTSD cases he found in shellshocked veterans he met over the years. God knows what happened in that place and to him." Shan elaborated further imagining the horror Henry had experienced his past life.
"How did you know? Did Henry tell you?" She asks.
"I saw him for the first time at Alex's Christmas party and I couldn't stop from finding out so I did some digging. I found out he came into the country in different name, he used his mother's maiden name. I found out everything else through Cash." He says and Zahra sighed next to him.
"Do you believe his gift?" Zahra asks and Shan pressed his lips together.
"Do you remember I told you I have a great grandmother we left behind in Uttar Pradesh? Sweet, kind lady, always has jasmine flowers in her hair." He starts feeling Zahra's eyes burning a hole on his face. She hummed in response waiting for him to continue.
"The day she passed, I was not able to go back. I was at school back then in London and it devastated me further when none of my family could go back due to financial issue. She was all alone and we weren't there." Shan's voice breaks but he cleared his throat to continue.
"The day I met Henry, he was maybe around twelve at the time, I was in my early twenties. Heart full of love, eyes filled with curiosity. He didn't asks me anything except staring at my face and frowned." Shan remembered the memories well since it was the first time they both met.
"It took him a while but one day he came to me and handed me a piece of jasmine flower in my hand and told me the nice lady behind me said not to cry anymore." Shan breaks in tears cupping his mouth with his palm before he continued. He felt the reassuring hand on his side when he turned to face his wife.
"I cried every night for not having to see her before she died. Henry told me she said it wasn't my fault they couldn't come back but she was happy that Henry get to see her and to tell me how much she love me." Shan let tears cascaded down on his face.
"So yeah, I believe him. With all my hearts, I do." Zahra pulled Shan by his neck into a hug before he broke into a sobs.
"I'm so sorry darling. I'm so sorry." Zahra told Shan stroking his back in soft circles.
"You can't tell Alex, Zar. If he knew about his gifts, he's going to use it to find June." Shan says pulling away from her hug and wiped his tears with his palm.
"Won't that be a good thing?" Zahra asks but surprised when Shan shook his head.
"I didn't tell you what happened after his parent's death." Shan starts and Zahra frowned.
"After his parent's died, Henry tried so hard to see them again but the cruel irony of the world and the unfairness of them would never allow him to be happy. He got sick. Each encountered he had it will take a toll on his health. Physically and mentally." Shan watched as Zahra eyes dropped and listened carefully for her husband stories.
"He almost killed his brother claiming that he saw a shadow hovering around him and he tried to kill it, unaware he was wielding a knife to kill Phillip."
"A shadow?" Zahra asks and Shan nodded.
"He starts seeing it after his parent's death and each time he sees that shadow, someone will die." Shan explained.
"You mean he saw grim reaper?" Zahra asks but Shan shrugged.
"No one knows what he saw Zar, he wasn't exactly a sharer or a bragger. But it get worst when his sister died. He was with her dead body for hours before they found them. Her body dangled above the ground by her neck and him sitting on the floor staring up at her- face." Shan continued and Zahra gasped.
"If you haven't seen anyone died by hanging, don't start searching for that image. It's brutal. Eyes, nose poured out blood and tongue protruded from her lips, losing all the bowels and urine all over the floor with Henry just inches away from her." Shan starts to elaborate but Zahra stopped him.
"Don't put that image in my mind. I'm a nurse but I don't see that kind of thing that much." She told him and he stopped.
"Christ can he ever recovered from this?" Zahra asks and Shan shook his head at her weakly. "God knows babe. That boy has been through a lot. I just wish I could help him." Shan says tiredly and Zahra leaned against his shoulder wrapping her arm around his waist. He sighed wrapping his arms back around her shoulder leaning them against the couch.
"I will do my best hun. Henry is strong, he will come through this." Zahra assured him but somehow Shan felt so far from it. "I don't know how I lived if I were in his place. Unable to differentiate between the dead or the living. Having the only living relatives trying to murder him just because he was different." Shan could feel his heart aching for Henry and Zahra wrapped her arm tighter in assurance.
"He has us. Oddly saying this but I was happy Alex found him." Zahra says ending with both of them laughing on the couch.
"I never thought I would see the day Alex actually gives a shit about someone other than himself or June and Nora. It seems weird seeing him acting like human after so many years watching him acting so emotionless." Zahra says and Shan can sense how difficult it is for her to see Alex grown into that kind of person he is now.
Alex grew up in front of her eyes and what happened to his family and June, breaks her deeply. Shan knows Zahra was Alex's mother's best friend and Ellen considered her like a sister. When she passed, it doesn't break up Alex's family apart but also hers.
Shan prays Alex would never found out about Henry's gifts but he knew eventually Henry would have to tell Alex the truth. God forbid Alex would not flipped on Henry just like he did with the rest of his victims. But Shan knew if the time comes, he would pull Henry out.
.
"Henry wake up."
"Henry you have to wake up."
I can't..
"Henry opened your eyes."
I'm tired.. I'm so so tired..
Henry could feel pain coursing through his entire body that even lifting a finger would send thousands of nerve pain in each movement. He couldn't even flutter his eyes opened to see where he's at and it brought back memories of him being locked up in Broadmoor.
He couldn't tell if it hours or days or even weeks of being in seclusion room chained to the wall or strapped in a jacket till his arms sore for weeks. He could hear scratches in the wall, cackling of presence around him that doesn't stop even though he is high on drugs.
But this time is different. He doesn't feel his arms being strapped nor tied but rather heavy. His shoulder felt like it's been holding a ton of weight for hours and couldn't even move a muscle. His head is heavier and he could feel the room is spinning although he couldn't even opened his eyes.
"Henry."
June?
He could recognized her voice but he couldn't see her. Everything around him is dark and he tried to prey his eyes opened from the darkness that races his heart.
"Hen."
Alex?
He could hear Alex's voice, it sounded so heartbreaking, so much pain laces in his tone and Henry had enough before he finally managed to open his eyes again.
The first thing he sees was the familiar white ceiling wall before he could see shadows of persons hovering on his sides. His visions are blurred which he assumed by tears or the deep sleep before he blinked repeatedly to find his view clear again.
"There you are." Alex whispered next to him and Henry could feel the tight clutching hands wrapped around his cold palms.
He tried to speak but his throat felt like he swallowed knife and his tongue is dry like a sand paper. "Al-ex." His voice hoarse as he tried to whisper his name.
"Shh, it's alright, you don't have to say anything. I'm just glad you're alright." Alex comforting voice soothed him while he stroked Henry's cheek softly. Henry swallowed his throat painfully looking up at Alex's worried gaze when he realized the tears pooling in his eyes.
"Why- crying?" Henry couldn't form more sentences that would ended up hurting his throat so he used his words just so Alex could understand him.
"I'm so sorry you got hurt. It was all my fault." Alex breaks raising Henry's hands tighter under his chin. His tears fell on their clutched hand before Henry tries to raise himself but failed when he felt the shooting pain over his shoulder and his chest.
"Easy Hen, you broke a bone here." Alex pointed out and Henry was too weak to asks him further.
"Not- your- fault." Henry spelled his words carefully before his eyes locked into Alex's again. He felt hazy, his brain is fog and sleepiness still dragging him back to sleep but he had to keep himself awake so he wont fell into that darkness again.
"I'm an asshole. I shouldn't have left you like that. I thought I wanna surprise you but ended up- " Alex choked on his words when he realized all of this happened because of his own doing and Henry was the one who took the fall for it. Henry exhaled raising his clutched hand to wipe Alex's tears with his thumb.
"C'mere." Henry told him and Alex smiled, wiping his tears dry before he laid himself next to him in bed. He wrapped his long arms under Henry's body letting him rest over his chest. His chin rested over Henry's head sniffing the smell of rusted metal on his hair from the blood residue.
They both exhaled in relief wrapped in each other's arm when he felt Henry relaxed and fell back to sleep.
.
It was hours later when Henry woke up and no longer in Alex's arm but he jolted when he saw Zahra sitting on the side of his bed.
"Easy. Don't move too fast." Zahra told him but Henry already pressing his back against the headboard to try keeping his distance away from her. He can see she was holding on to the syringe in her hand when Henry felt the same fear creeping up inside him.
The staffs back in Broadmoor holding on to the syringe just like she did and ready to hold him down and injected him with the drugs to make him sleep for days doing God knows what to him. So Henry wasn't gonna let her touch him especially giving whatever it is inside the syringe into his body.
"Go away!" Henry's voice still hoarse but he eventually found his strength to tell her rather than earlier.
"Henry calm down. I'm not gonna hurt you." Zahra told him throwing away the syringe in her hand before she heard Alex and Shan stumbling into the room.
Henry shot his head at Shan standing next to Alex by the door before he broke in tears. "Oh my poor boy." Shan called rushing to Henry side before wrapping his arm around him. Henry sobs in tears after Shan hold him close to his chest.
"You're safe Henry. You're safe." He whispered in his ear but Henry pushed him off, eyes filled with fears.
"I'm not. I'm in the system now Shan. I'm good as dead." Henry whispered knowing it would help him from hurting his throat. "Don't you say that Henry. Listen to me. Alex has the power to make it disappear and don't you worry about it. It's gone from the system." Shan told him before Alex came forward to stand beside him.
"It's true, I did. Henry you have nothing to worry about. I told you I'll protect you remember?" Alex squeezed Henry's knee that covers by the blanket letting him know he can trust him. It took him a while, with tears in his eyes before he finally nods.
.
Henry's eyes monitoring each and every movement Zahra made towards him. He flinched and clutched Alex's hand each time she made a movement drastically towards him. It doesn't help when Alex and Zahra shared the same raging stares with each others that made Henry regrets for his own nerve response.
"I know it hurts Henry but I need you to stay still for me alright." Zahra told him as she cleaned the wound on the back of his head while Henry sat on the edge of the chair with Alex sitting between his legs holding on to his hand.
"I can take the pain." Henry told her but she didn't actually respond when she pressed the soaked gauze on his skin. Alex was amazed at how Henry didn't even flinched at the cold touching his scalp but curious when Henry was focusing on the grey painted wall instead.
Shan noticed when Henry hasn't move his gaze so he stepped behind Alex to block him from seeing whatever he sees and noticed Henry gasped shifting his gaze at him. His eyes are pleading but Shan knew for a fact that Henry definitely saw something, or rather someone. He just choose to keep it silence so Alex won't know about it.
"Almost done." Zahra told him and minutes later she finally done with the dressing before looping the sling over Henry's arm. He thanked her silently putting his arms into the thin fabric before Alex held out his palm for him.
Henry eyed his opened calloused palm Alex offered and hesitated but soon accepted it eventually knowing how awkward it would get to leave Alex hanging. Alex helped him to the bed before pulling the blanket over his waist while Henry sat up, resting his back against the bed frame.
"Stay here, I'll get you some food." Alex says cupping Henry's cheek before planting a kiss over Henry's forehead right between his crooked eyebrows. Henry's gaze follows as he watched Alex's running out of the room with smiles plastered all over his face.
"You know how many years I haven't seen him doing that?" Zahra suddenly spoke when Shan was adjusting his blanket next to him. Henry lifted his gaze back at her clearing up her supplies into the opened luggage bag.
"What?" Henry asks softly noticed how Shan exchanged his look with his wife.
"Loving someone." Zahra adds thinking he might actually sees Henry smiled but ended up Henry lowered his gaze down.
"It's a good thing Henry. He starts being a human again, so no casualties." Zahra claimed bringing Henry's gaze back at her.
"What happens if I'm gone then? Would he go back being the cruel Alex that you feared?" Henry suddenly asks stopping Zahra from loading her stuffs away. She stared at her scattered items in the luggage before lifting her gaze at him.
"I never feared him, but I feared for him. I think we all do." She shifts her gaze towards her husband next to Henry where Shan sat in silence.
Henry felt guilty for making the conversation hanged in the middle without anyone continue saying anything. He knows Zahra tries to say something but contemplate shutting her lips tight but before she could asks him, Alex barged in the room dangling the trays in his hand.
"Lunch." He chirped bringing smile into their faces. Henry could see Zahra pull on her fakest smile pretending she was happy that Alex finally barged in carrying trays of food for Henry. He sat the tray down on Henry's lap happily but Henry couldn't help eyeing Zahra and Shan backing away from the bed.
"Take care Henry. We'll see you in couple of days for that stitches." Zahra told him letting Shan carried the luggage behind and Henry nodded waving them goodbye until the door shuts closed.
"I made this for you." Alex cheered twirling the spoon around the bowl of what Henry assumed is soup. "I can eat by myself Alexander. I don't need to be treated like a toddler." Henry tried to reach for the spoon from Alex's grip with his good hand when Alex clicked his tongue at him. He raised the spoon higher so Henry won't be able to reach him.
"Well from now on you are the toddler in this house. I don't care what you said. I'm gonna feed you, bathe you and helped you when you need to go to the toilet. You hear me?" He says sternly with his eyes bulging towards Henry in anger.
"Like hell I am. Look I know you felt guilty about all of this but you don't have to play house with me. It was my own stupidity that all of this happens." Henry tried to reason with Alex when he finally lowered the spoon.
"Henry you were left in the cold the whole night. You know how it made me feel when I saw you pale and blue on the ground? I thought- " Alex stopped tossing the spoon into the bowl with a clanking sound.
"You thought what?" Henry asks softly.
"I thought you were dead." Alex finally looked up meeting Henry's hazel eyes with his lips trembled. "I can't feel your pulse and I can't- feel you move. You were so cold. Henry I thought I lost you." Alex breaks in tears lowering his gaze down on the food tray letting his tears trails down on his cheek.
Henry softly lifted his good arm up and wiped Alex's tears off with his thumb before resting his palm over Alex's cheek. He could feel Alex sighed leaning his cheek against Henry's palm before locking their gaze again.
"I thought losing June was the breaking point of my life but when I saw you, limp in Cash's arm, my heart broke. I never wanted to feel that way again Henry." Henry saw Alex palmed his chest for the pain he felt of losing him. He wished he could tell Alex he felt the same way but false hope is not something he looked for in this relationship.
"I'm sorry." Henry whispered pulling his hand away from Alex's cheek.
"So from now on. You're gonna be staying here." Alex says sharply bringing Henry's attention back to him. "What? I don't think so." He protest but Alex already made up his mind. "Out of question, eat, now!" He instructed but Henry cocked his head at him with his lips sealed.
"I can't have you go back to that house after what happened. Look, it's temporary, I promise until I am proven enough that you can take care of yourself on your own then you can go back home. I already had Cash picked up your stuffs, he should be here any minute now." Alex told him but Henry could only shook his head in disbelief.
.
"Something popped up in the system. Only for few hours then it disappeared." One of Phillip's men called him around two in the morning when it happened.
"What?" Phillip asks, voice groggy from his sleep.
"You told me to search through everything including your mother's side. Someone in New York had a robbery accident. Registered under your mother's maiden name for few hours but then it disappeared." The guy told him and once in months of searching for Henry, he finally got something close in finding him. If it really does him.
"Send me the address." Phillip told him before ended the call.
"Who's that?" Martha asks turning her body to reach for her husband when Phillip jolted from bed and starts packing up his clothes into a duffel bag.
"Something's up. Business darling. I'll call you when I'm arrived alright?" He says as he packed his belongings when Martha raised from the bed.
"What business that's so important for you to pack at this hour?" She asks squinting her eyes as Phillip turned on the bedroom light to look more for his stuffs.
"Just business alright? I'll be gone for a while, don't you worry. I'll be home soon." Philip says as he grabbed his toiletries from the toilet with Martha eyes' scanning him through the room.
"Where exactly are you going?" She asks as Phillip finished up packing his belongings.
"New York." He noted before he disappeared into the bathroom again to get himself ready.
