Part 23
Henry could see Alex's kitchen is fully stocked and for that he is glad. The moment he opened the fridge door, he could see it was filled with few fruits and vegetables that seemed to be untouched. Henry noticed the only thing that was in the trash can was the take out and couple of beer cans with few energy drinks that Alex took before his workout session. Henry doubt he did any of his workout these past couple of days so he might drinking it for the energy.
Henry sighed trying to figure out what he could make for Alex. He saw few potatoes and celery when he remembers the time he and Bea made soup for when they both were teenagers. He remembered the recipe well since the only thing he had during his time in Broadmoor, was the memories that accompanied him in his cell.
So he starts pulling out items each one after another from the fridge filling it up on the counter and starts prepping the food best that he could for Alex.
Cooking was easy for Henry considered that he made the simplest food he could offer. As soon as he finished the meal, he placed them into the eating bowl and set it in a tray to let Alex eat in bed. He placed a glass of water with a bottle of aspirin he found inside the drawer for Alex to take after the meal, provided that Alex would eat it.
Henry sat down the tray on Alex's bedside table noticed the soft snores came from sleeping Alex in bed. He draw the curtain a little to see Alex has laid on his good side hugging a pillow between his legs and the blanket already thrown halfway over his hips.
Henry smiled, drawing the blanket back over Alex's body before he closed the curtain again to let him sleep.
Henry couldn't help himself exploring Alex's bedroom starting with his bathroom. The tiles are ash marbled that glistened under the light. Alex vanity mirror was wall mounted with backlight that reflects the white marble tiles on the walls. A marble top cabinet that contained a large white porcelain sink in the middle with Alex's collections of bath items and his facial creams organized in a rack by the corner of the counter.
Henry grabbed one of the bottle and inhaled the scent that would resembled Alex's daily scent until he found out one of the bottle that smells exactly like him.
The corner of the room has a large bath tub with few bath items stored in a rack next to the towel hanger with multiple soaps, shampoos and bath bombs as Henry recalled last time he heard Alex mentioned it.
Henry smiles when he think back if anyone would see Alex, they wouldn't expect him to be the guy that stores this much bath bombs in his bathroom.
Henry moves on to Alex's closet, eyeing the large mirror that reflects him and Alex's bed behind him before Henry decides to slides one opened. He turned around to see Alex is still sleeping peacefully before he stepped inside the walk in closet.
The closet opened up into a small hallway where Alex's clothes and suits are hanged separately in each sides. Henry could see the suits are being organized on his right while Alex's coats, long wears and few sweaters was hanged on the left. Underneath both cupboards has multiple drawers that Henry saw Alex's few shirts and pants being stored. He slides the drawer close carefully without making any sound before he walked further into the narrowed hallway.
Henry pulled back a curtain drape that ended the path to reveal a hexagon mirror room with a small plushie single chair in the middle of the room which Henry assumed the dressing room for Alex to get ready.
Henry stepped into the middle to see his reflection in the six mirror while he circling around the couch before taking his seat. The curtain half opened behind him when Henry twirled around the seat with his heads falls back staring at the small chandelier that hangs in the middle of the dressing room.
Henry twirled the chair around brought back feelings like he was back in London sitting in his father's office when he was only five years old, at least that was the last he remembered. The chandelier hung above his head as his eyes gaze upon the shimmering glass reflected by the lights when he heard it.
"Feel good about yourself?"
A sudden whispers gushes like a wind in the room causing Henry to jump. He looked around the dressing room to see no one but him alone with his own reflection. Henry sat up at the edge of the chair gripping on the arm rest twirling his head around to see whose voices it belong too.
He could feel his heartbeat faster when the coldness starts to hits his skin. He twisted his head around multiple times just so he could make sure that he is rather indeed alone in this dressing room. He felt giddy from spinning around so many times before he stopped when he convinced that no one was there but him.
He sighed dropping his head in his hand hunching himself over his knees when he felt another coldness brushing against his neck.
"Pathetic."
Another whisper in Henry's ear and he could feel the coldness hits behind him closer than earlier. He shot his head up to see his own reflection right before him and there it was, standing right behind him, grinning in that devilish smile with dark black eyes.
"Bea."
Henry gasped, frozen in his seat with his fingers digging into the soft cushion staring at her reflection in the mirror ahead of him. He tried not to engage with her knowing how badly it could get since last time doesn't go so well, so he tries to keep his brave facade and dismissed her presence immediately.
"What do you want?" Henry whispered, ignoring the tugged in his chest. Although it felt like a knife digging on his back twisting inside his heart each time he took a breath.
"He needs to die." Bea spoke again but Henry could see her lips aren't even moving. She speaks through him inside his mind making Henry gripped the arm rest tighter.
"You're not real." Henry convinced himself but soon he regretted for saying it when Bea seized Henry's head in her hands. Henry gasped in shock attempted to scream when Bea clasped her hands over Henry's mouth muffling him.
"I'm not real?" Bea whispered in his ear behind him. Their eyes locked through the mirror ahead of them with Bea's hand grasped tightly in Henry's neck while the other over Henry's mouth muffling him. Henry could feel her nails digging deeper scraping his pale skin causing him to groan in her cuffed palm.
"If this isn't real then baby bro, how about this?" She pressed her nails deeper into Henry's skin causing him to scream further in pain. Tears filled his eyes when he felt the pain of her nails digging deeper into his skin and despite from her touch itself, was already hurting Henry on the inside.
"P-please." His words muffled in her grip but she laughs at Henry's plea.
"He needs to die!" Bea's words seethed through her charred teeth that Henry could see from the reflection in the mirror. She laughs devilishly pressing her chin over the crown of Henry's head.
Henry shook his head, shutting his eyes tight letting tears cascading down on his temple as Bea pulled his neck back harshly.
"N-No." Henry spoked in her palm shaking his head but it angered her further.
"He's a murderer Henry!" She seethed again in Henry's ear gripping his neck tighter. Henry shakes his head again denying her request to kill Alex over and over when she grabbed Henry by his hair to face the mirror ahead of him so he could see their reflection altogether.
"He doesn't care for you Henry! Look at you! Look at how pathetic you are!" Bea tugged Henry's blonde hair tightly between her fingers before she pulls him towards her chest again.
"How do you think he's gonna take it if he finds out about you?!" Bea asks him. Henry remained silence still had her palms cupping his mouth while the other tugged on his hair.
"You think he's gonna love you when he finds out? You're a freak Henry! A walking disappointment! No one is going to love you! They will kill you once they found out! Trust me on this!" Bea gripped his hair tighter releasing her palm over Henry's mouth before grabbing his neck again.
"P-Please. Let me go." Henry plead clutching on his chest as the pain grew when he noticed Bea's eyes lingered over his clutched chest.
She grinned, lowering her palm over Henry's clenched fist before pressing her lips over Henry's temple, "Your gift will be the death of you eventually." She whispered before finally letting him free from her tightening grip.
Henry scrambled on his knees crawling himself out of the dressing room when he felt her still standing behind him cackling as she watched Henry crawled away in tears.
"Kill him, before he kills you." Her last words echoed in that dressing room but Henry wasn't going to stay there any longer and crawled himself out of that dressing room shaking in fears.
Henry finally saw the edge of Alex's bed that became an anchor to find his way out of that room before sliding the door close shutting the view of Bea still standing in the middle of the dressing room grinning back at him.
Henry slumped on the floor with his back pressed against the mirror wall, panting his breath heavily trying to calm himself down but the event is too frightening for him. His whole body shakes and his fingers trembled, he couldn't even get his hoodie zipper close when he saw Alex stirred in his sleep.
"Henry?" He called unaware of Henry state but Henry could see his figures starts sitting up from behind the thin white curtains with his head glancing around the room looking for him. Henry didn't hesitate when he stood up abruptly and ran towards Alex's sitting figure in bed ripping the curtain opened before he jumped in bed into Alex's arms.
"Ooh, I was looking for you." Alex huffed when Henry's body collapsed into his in bed surprising him by his gesture. He smiled thinking it was merely a hug when he noticed Henry's whole body shook and shivers in Alex's embrace.
"Hen? What is it?" He asks stroking Henry's back softly when he heard him sniffles in his neck. Alex could feel how fast Henry's heart beating through his neck and his breaths quickened by the seconds.
"Henry what's wrong? Christ! What is it?" He asks worried when Henry shudders in tears but Henry clung on him like a frightened child. It broke Alex's heart when he heard a whimper coming from Henry whom still had his arm wrapped tightly around Alex's neck.
"Hen, what is it? Tell me." He tried to prey Henry's grip off from his neck but Henry's shakiness stopped him from pushing him off.
"J-Just h-hold m-me." Henry says shakily in Alex's ear causing him to sigh in defeat and falls back against the mounted pillows with Henry still clinging on to him.
.
"Look at you!"
"Pathetic!"
"A walking disappointment!"
"You think he's gonna love you if he finds out about you?!"
"Kill him before he kills you!"
"NO!" Henry screamed as he jolted awake from his nightmare. His eyes scanned the room to see him all alone in that huge bed with the curtain drapes covering the bed. It was dark outside and Henry assumed he slept through the evening. He reached around to find the bed is empty and Alex is no longer beside him. Bea's words echoed around his mind and Henry couldn't get rid of her voice that still sent shivers down his spine.
He felt coldness wrapping around his heart as he hugged his knees closed to his chest. A sudden movement caught his eyes when a strange silhouette moves in the dark room behind those drapes at the end of the bed. Henry tries not to engage as his last encounter already cost him all energy and he still suffers the effects until now.
He could see the silhouette starts circling around the bed making its way closer to Henry side when the curtain are slowly draped to the side. Henry didn't want to wait any further and attempted to flee when a hand caught his ankle from escaping.
"Let me go!" Henry plead but the shadow is too strong gripping both of his ankles now pulling him back in bed.
"Henry." The voice felt familiar but Henry was too afraid to even looked behind him and attempted another escape only to have his body flipped on his back and pulled against the tall shadow.
"Stop! Don't! Please don't!" Henry plead fighting the person's hand that tries to grab his wrist.
"Henry." The voice spoke again so calmly but Henry's mind is drowning with memories of the orderly came late at night in his cell, tying his wrist and ankle to the bed post so they could have their way with him.
"Don't touch me!" Henry fought the hands that tries to hold him and the sounds of metal chain clanking made him thinks he is back in Broadmoor. Henry could feel his eyes burning with tears when he sees the shadow had him in his grip over his head.
"Please. Please don't do this. Don't do this." Henry whimpered pleading for the shadow to leave him alone but he knew it well. He knows how those nights ended for the last ten years he was stuck in that horrid place. There is no amount of pleading, sobbing, whimpering or screaming that would make them stop thrusting into him. The covered face is only a shroud of shame for what they did to him. He knew exactly by the physique and the scent that came from them or the grunt they released each time they reached their climaxed whether in or out of him. Some of them had decency to wear a condom but others, they couldn't even bothered.
Henry was lucky if any of them were gentle enough or using some sort of lubricants before thrusting into him but most nights, he was welcomed with nothing but dry thrust that somehow left him bleed for days.
Henry noticed the pills they slipped inside his mouth so that he would be too weak to fight and some nights, they wanted him to fight so they could use force as their kinks which left him in bruises or broken ribs and split lips.
But tonight Henry wasn't on any drugs, he was free from any source of substances for months now since he got out. So he need to fight this person from taking advantage of him. The clasped hand over his wrist is too tight for him to release so he need to use his knees and his feet to push the person off of him.
"Henry." The person calls him again but the sound is too muffled for Henry to recognized.
"Go away! Don't fucking touch me!" Henry finally yelled pushing the person off his body when a sudden light flickered besides him illuminating the room slightly brighter and only then Henry noticed the shadow was not whom he thought.
"Alex?" Henry called after he sees Alex's worried gaze came forth in his view. "Hey, I have been trying to call you but you couldn't hear me." Alex says pulling Henry up by his wrist and he raised himself weakly with his hair all messed up.
Henry sobs before exhaled a breath of relief hovering his hand over Alex's chest. He didn't think twice pulling Henry into a hug resting Henry's face over his now covered chest. "Shh, you're safe. You're safe." He whispered repeatedly over Henry's top head with his arm wrapped around his body.
.
"Here." Alex handed him a glass of water for Henry to drink. He raised his trembling hands almost spilling the water on his lap when Alex decides to help him. He raised the glass rim over Henry's lower lips for Henry to take a sip.
The cool water runs down Henry's dry throat relieving parts of him that was hurting before Alex placed the glass back on the bedside and later he joined Henry in bed again. Henry was seating on the edge with his legs dangled over the side while Alex sat facing him with his one leg folds underneath him.
"Wanna talk about it?" He asks and Henry stares at the mirror cupboard that reflected both him and Alex's sitting in bed. Henry remembers what lies behind those cupboards and now he couldn't find his own courage to step into it anymore.
He shook his head softly still unable to form words on his lips. He could hear the disappointing sighs coming from his side.
"I know that behavior Henry. My sister was almost raped remember?" Alex starts causing Henry to shot his head to his side to face Alex sitting with his both hands clasped. Alex could see the tears started to fill Henry's eyes and he wanted nothing more than to comfort him.
"Whoever hurt you Henry, they are not here anymore. It's all in the past. No one will hurt you anymore." Alex says softly taking Henry's trembling hand in his. If only he knew it wasn't true at all, if only Henry could tell him that none of that is true. That even in death people would still want to hurt him.
"Hmm, how did you got hurt here?" Alex says pulling Henry's collar down to see a couple of nail marks on Henry's neck but Henry cupped the wound so Alex's won't be able to see it clearly. "N-Nothing. I got itchy earlier and I t-think I scratched too harsh." Henry lied but before Alex could see further, Henry stood abruptly.
"It's late. I ha-have to go." Henry says walking away from Alex still clueless in bed.
"Wha- wait! Henry!" Alex chased him but the pain shots him on his side when he tries to stand. "Argh- fuck!" He cursed but ignored the pain as he tried to catch Henry from running out of the loft.
Henry was faster than Alex when he already inside the elevator and Alex barely reaching the door when it closed. "Fuck!" He cursed yelling while punching the elevator door as it goes down unable to grab Henry in time.
.
Henry walked along the sidewalks feeling all of those eyes are focused on him. Each person he passed has the same shared eyes he'd seen in Bea. They were filled with darkness and seems that all of them are staring back at him as he tries to walk home.
His head are drowned with words filled by Bea earlier. It kept repeating in his mind like a broken record and it was the only thing Henry could hear. He could feel the rest of the world is silent by her words and everything else is numb.
Each passer that walked by Henry's side reminded him of every person that he sees in Broadmoor. Each man that walked by are wearing a white orderly scrubs or pale green scrubs that the nurses wearing. Each woman that passes resembled Bea standing in the middle of the sidewalk with different clothes staring at him with that grinning smile on their faces.
"Stop! Leave me alone!" Henry avoided those passers pushing himself through them and each passed he made seems like never ended.
He felt suffocated, he felt his throat is tightened if he kept walking in this sidewalk so he walked to the opposite site, stepping out from the curb into the main street ignoring the incoming cars. Henry could see a white bright light shined on his side that blinded him before he stopped.
The rest was a blur.
