I can't believe my story got the first rank in romance. It could be come down soon but i am very happy that atleast for once it got the first rank :)

''May i know why?'' She said narrowing her eyes.

''Umm..for someone.''

''Look James if you want to waste your money on your cheap girls then you gladly do it but don't expect that i will let them wear any of my dresses.'' She said sternly.

Oh God!!

''Mom..she is not that type of girl. She is Li...i mean...a friend?''  I tried to convince her.

I would have gone to another boutiques or malls but that would create chaos that i was buying a lady's dress.

''May i know her name?'' This time she asked smiling.

''Umm..yes but first you show me the dresses.''

She agreed and showed me some beautiful dresses.

I chose a silver dress which would come below her knees and the neck was covered properly.

''Thank you Mom!'' I hugged her.

''Now tell me her name.'' She asked sweetly.

''Umm..Stella.'' i said.

''Oh..i..think she will look great in it.'' She smiled.

It was not for Stella but for Liza. I didn't want my Mom to know anything about my and Liza's.. relation...or whatever we had.

I went to my apartment and put the packet on the bed.

Tomorrow is her birthday party but i will not attend it. I am not sure how will i behave by seeing her after a week...and my parents will be there..

I slept the whole sunday. I meant i woke up in the afternoon. Then i went through the files of that week.

It was evening now.

She must be having party right now.

I had my dinner in the meanwhile.

I went to my closet and took out one of favourite suits. Then i went to shower.

After showering, dressing up, setting my hair, using the perfume and putting the polished shoes i was ready.

I looked at my watch. It was ten past ten.

I informed Mason to be ready by eleven thirty.

There is still much time...

I said i will not attend the party but i haven't said i will not attend her. Right?

So here i was ready and waiting for the right time.

The party is tonight but her bithday is tomorrow. So i will go to her apartment exactly at midnight.

She would be happy to see me..i guess.

I was getting irritated because the time was not going fast.

Then my mind went to the conversation that i had with Mr. Louis.

'You should treat your girl like a princess..

Then she will come closer to you..

I started searching on the google about how to make a girl happy. There were many things written on it. But it was all about how to make a girlfriend or to bond into a relationship.

And i don't want any of it.

She was my assistant and i wanted her. That was it. Nothing more.

There was no future with her.

I read the advices written on it.

Talk to her sweetly..

Rubbish.

Take her on a date..

No.

Bring her flowers..

Yeah! That i can do.

I saw the time again and it was already thirty past eleven.

I don't think i will get flowers at this time.

I dialled Mason and went out of the apartment.

I was in the car thinking about her.

I wonder how will she look in this dress.

What did she wore in the party?

I hope no one would be there at this night.

The car stopped at her building. My building. Mason gave the key to the valet to park it.

We went to the elevator.

Sh*t! Why am i feeling nervous?

I could feel sweat on my palms.

I gave the packet to Mason.

''Give it to her when you see her.'' I said to him and he nodded.

After coming out of the apartment i dialled her number to knew if she was in the apartment or the terrace where the party was going on.

She was not receiving the call.

So i texted her.

To: Miss Stubborn.

I am outside of your apartment.

I changed her name from stubbornb**** to only stubborn a few days back.

As i was going closer to her apartment my nervousness kept on increasing.

It was new to me...i haven't buy anything for a girl before...if they wanted to shop i simply gave them my card.

Soon we were outside her door.

I was nervous...God!! You are behaving like a chicken.

I took out the card and opened the door.

Liza's P.O.V :

It was sunday and my Mama forced me  to go for shopping.

I don't know why she is so desperate to shop when she has her own boutique!!

''I think this will look good on you.'' I rolled my eyes.

''Mama this is the fifth dress. You are always saying the same thing and then you are rejecting it.'' She smiled sheepishly.

''Okay fine leave this Mall. We will go to my friend's boutique.'' She said while tugging me towards the exit.

''Mama don't you think we have wasted our three hours already and again...'' i started but cut off by her.

''Umm..i am so sorry...i thought you liked the company of mine but i am so sorry that i wasted your precious time. We should go home.'' She said and started walking.

''Mama i didn't mean it.'' I said walking towards her.

''No Liz. It is fine. We shouldn't have come here.''

Oh God!!

''Mama..you are assuming too much..now please will you take me to your friend's boutique.'' I said and she smiled.

''Yeah sure!'' I raised my eyebrows at her sudden mood swing.

It was quick.

We went to the Lady's choice and i regretted that i listened to my mother.

''Hey Liza. My dear come please!'' Mrs. Ashton greeted as soon as she saw us.

''Maria please show some beautiful dresses for my daughter.'' My mother said.

''Yeah sure! Afterall it is her b..'' i saw my mother pinched her.

What was that?

''I mean you are so beautiful that any dress will look good on you.'' She said and I blushed.

''Thank you.''

I bought a simple white dress bordered with red lace.

We went to my apartment in the evening and my mother again forced me to wear that dress to see how beautiful i was looking.

I obliged and did the same. Diego and my father was not there.

I wonder where were they..

Suddenly the room became dark and i ran out to the hall room and it litted up with a high chorus of..

''HAPPY BIRTHDAY''

WHOA!!  it is my birthday?

They all came one by one to hugged me. Ben, Mel, Diego, Jack Mama, Dad and Dave was there.

A mere thought crossed my mind that...

Can't he...

''Liz come on get ready now. We have a surprise for you.'' Mel said happily.

''But..i thought this was the surprise.''

''Come on now stop wasting your time.'' She said and pushed me towards my room.

I combed my here neatly and left them down. I applied the red lipstick and mascara and put on my red sandal with a red clutch.

I went outside and there was no one. I dialled Mel's number.

''Where are you all?'' I asked.

''At the terrace. Now come fast.'' She said excitedly.

I ended the call and went to the terrace after locking the apartment.

Whoa!!

My eyes widen at the decorations. It was not at all looking like a terrace. It was converted into a restaurant.

Amazing...

I started walking towards the centre where my parents were.

''Who did all this?'' I asked.

''Your friends.'' She said gesturing towards them.

A smile spread on my lips.

I walked towards them.

''This is the best surprise i have ever got.'' I said with tears in my eyes.

''God! Liz! You are our friend.'' Ben said and hugged me.

''But...why did you need the terrace? My apartment was enough for you all.'' I asked.

''Actually..we have invited the families too..our families.'' Mel said.

''Wow!! That is amazing.'' I said and looked back to see a little boy screaming.

I raised my brows at my friends but they were shocked too.

Suddenly the boy started running towards us and hugged Mel's legs.

''Moma'' he said.

What? She has a child?

But she never told us...

And he is quite older...i mean he must me around seven or eight.

''Wow! A surprise.'' Jack muttered.

''Umm..yeah! I am really sorry guys that i haven't told you about him. He is my only family.'' She kissed his forehead.

''Hey Rick say hi to them.'' She whispered in his ears.

He greeted us shyly then ran towards my father who was showing a balloon to Rick.

''Atleast you have him..'' Ben said and started biting her lips to stopped the tears.

''You have me.'' Dave said and kissed her head.

Then Dave's family entered and greeted me. His father was same like him. He was very funny but smart.

Then an unknown family entered.

Beautiful..

I looked at the girl who entered. She was beautiful. No..more than beautiful. She hugged Diego and then he gestured towards me. She started walking towards me with a smile on her face.

''Hey! Happy Birthday.'' She said while hugging me. She was taller than me.

''Umm..thanks.. you are?'' I asked feeling a little uncomfortable.
She was beautiful and by her confidence and posture i could tell she was from a rich family.

''I am Stella. Diego's sister.'' She smiled.

What?

I looked at her then at Diego who was busy talking with...i assume they were his parents.

Now i could say they are siblings bacause they both are too good looking.

''I am Liza. Nice to meet you.'' I smiled at her.

''Come meet my parents.'' She held my hands and took me towards them.

''Hi..''

''Happy Birthday dear!'' His mom hugged me.

''Happy Birthday.'' His father said.

Both of them were exactly like her mother. His father was handsome too.

''Thank you.''

Jack parents came too with his little sister who was five years old.

Everyone was chatting to each other.

Will he come? Have they invited him?

Suddenly the door opened and Mr. And Mrs. Ashton entered.

I looked behind them but there was no one.

I smiled and walked towards them.

''Goodevening Sir...''

''Liza i am not your boss outside your office. Is that clear?'' Mr. Ashton asked while smiling.

''Happy Birthday dear.'' Mrs. Ashton hugged me.

''Thank you please come.''

It was already thirty past ten. Everyone had their dinner.

He didn't came..

Why am i feeling sad?

I heard some voices coming from the stairs so i walked towards the source.

I saw the back of a man in a suit who was holding a girl's arm.

James?

He was shouting at the girl who was weeping.

I went towards him and put my hands on his shoulder. He stiffed but turned around.
