Pushing through the crowd I finally caught Luna storming away on her own with a fire in her brown eyes, causing an intrigue. What did that relative of hers say to aggravate her so strongly? I would love to know. My eyes passed over her family strutting away peacefully and incredibly avoiding the damage of everyone roaring and growling at each other, and for what? This lying bearded male should be the target of their anger.
She turned her head slightly, her pointed gaze passing over me and before I could call out to her I noticed she spotted the man who was scaring the townspeople before. Her eyes narrowed on him as if she were putting a death wish on him and she began to follow his tail. I agree Luna that man is suspicious, his scent reeks of rotting skin and smoke. Not quite the rotting smell of the un-dead, certainly though a sent that arouses mischief to come out and play. This preaching bearded man veered his direction down a dark set of stairs and Luna lifted her skirts scanning her surroundings once more before she stalked him.
Is this is norm? Does Luna simply follow every dark monster for entertainment? Is that what her wild fantasies are filled with?
"Luna!" I called out hauling a man by the collar of his shirt out of my way. For a second I thought his friend or so wanted a fight because I felt someone's hands on my shoulders hauling me back. I growled swinging my fist around to hit their jaw but Red head caught it, with the Raven head standing beside her arms folded and lips forming a sneer. "Oh joy my two most favourite girls in world." I held my hands up in mocking praise. The women with no scents, my wound on my chest began to throb slightly as if sensing their presence.
"What do you think you're doing?" Valerie harshly questioned looking ready to tear at something. Me specifically. I'm flattered.
"I knew you were protecting that mutt! And now you have Luna defending him!" Red head shouted stretching her hands forward to choke me. Valerie grabbed her just in time but I stepped forward to explain. "That was her. I never told her to praise the damned dog."
"But you spoke to her!" Val whispered having to shove a man away when he stumbled upon her. The he was sucker punched by her when she lost impatience with some internal thought. You don't beat a man up when he's down, what must she be like around her enemies when she becomes a fury.
I tested the waters. "Yes that is what I meant when I said I 'told her'."
I can tell by their glare they did not appreciate my sarcasm. "We've warned you to stay away." Val's blue eyes began to glow.
"She does not need to be followed around by a sticky pawed pup." Red added behaving in a smug manner. Her fingers are twitching. If Raven head decides to turn a blind eye Red will definitely tke that opportunity to strangle me to death.
"You girls are racist you know that? I am genuinely offended." I placed my hand over my heart pouting.
"Can we just kill him and get this over with?" Red begged. I burst out. I am not sinister but they refuse to believe it! I laughed some more. With Luna following a potential threat should they really be concerned with the likes of me? Unless of course they don't know she has left to follow that thing.
Taking in their expressions it's clear. They know nothing and I am wasting seconds of what could be the last few moments of Luna's life right now toying with them. I gazed over Red's shoulder and stiffened. "He's here."
"What?" They both glared over their shoulders in panic.
I ran.

Once I realised father was no longer watching me I veered my direction down mucky stone steps. I tried not to slip as I held my skirts up. My eyes stayed sewn on the Jesus look-alike storming off just ahead weaving through stalls and people trying to trample over each other to get to the action. All the trouble I caused back there only filled me with wild determination. I pushed against crowd hearing a rip and ignoring it making a note to self: cry about the dress later.
No one seems to care about stepping on each other's feet or elbowing my stomach or stealing my bracelet. "Little pest." I glared at that little thief scamper away then whipped my head back around catching the Jesus look-alike stare at me while everyone walked around him. Ignoring his existence.
I can tell he's not planning something good from the furrowed brow. Eyebrows so close to meeting that they almost formed into one ugly caterpillar. I tilted my head low and pretended to take interest in a stall selling fruit. I took a quick peek and he was moving again. I want to find out where he got his information from. No one can know better about that night other than me, myself and Sam. Why am I protecting Alpha? Because... He is being wrongly accused! Yes, he still is a mad wolf that should be put down. But this man is a liar and liars make my skin crawl.

My feet were sore by the time he unknowingly led me to the poor parts of town. I'm walking past the docks with sinking boats or ones about to deliver goods to the next country. I can already feel the odd looks and questioning glances from people around me. It's not safe to be dressed so finely in this part of the city in fact I will be extremely surprised if I'm not robbed within the next ten minutes. I partially scowled at myself for thinking like the narrow mind of a typical father who trusts no one without a title. Father taught me that, everyone in the lower class is there for a reason. Mother taught to give everybody the benefit of the doubt. And of course I would trust my mother's judgement over my father's.
The houses that sit struggling to stand and groaning in pain all are diminishing and dying "A house is where you're supposed to feel warm and safe but there is nothing cosy about these homes." My heart broke at the sight of the little girl sitting in drenched rags at a front step of a closed house. A house where the front door had nailed wooden boards over it in a 'x' form then more planks covering the windows. Her dark hair is wet and sticking to her pale face catching tears and her lips are turning blue. The girl is dying. It's almost like someone had either thrown a bucket of water over her head or someone dunked her into the ocean just across from us. I glared at the preacher's distant walking figure then softly stared at the girl who is staring back at me with wide shocked eyes. As if she can't believe a I'm actually here looking at the likes of her. She's probably never really seen a person like me walk her streets.
My sympathy got the better of me and pulled me by force to the young one. I knelt down in front of her letting my gentle nature relax her. "I bet you have beautiful golden curls when your hair is dry." I took off my gloves and gave them to her because they're all I have to offer her. I wish I brought a cloak to keep her warm.
"Mademoiselle I cannot accept this." She whispered pushing them back to me. Her eyes shied away from me and she lowered her head shamefully.
"Why not?"
"They'll get suspicious and rob me milady. Please you should leave before he comes back." My eyes trailed back to the preacher and I stood up to follow him once again but I left the gloves with her.
"Ey little one." A sly voice whispered behind me and I glared over my shoulder to see some nightmarish man leaning over her.
"Please don't." She whimpered managing to get up and run away in the opposite direction of the preacher. I hoped he wouldn't follow her but he calmly speed walked down the alleyway she'd escaped to.
Anger embraced me.

The mid morning's cold breeze chilled me to the bone. I can smell the rain coming and naturally I blame the rodent who put the whole town in a rotten mood. Now here I am with two angry cats fixing up their hair and skirts after having to fight and knock down heaps of people to get to me on the sidelines of the brawl.
"You were fooled by an oversized poodle." I stated. I am tempted to applauded their foolishness.
"Shut it Mari." Satine snapped.
"He's run off after her." I continued. "And don't tell me to shut up!"
She came right up to my face. You're shorter than me Satine. "I'll tell whoever I want to shut up." I will eat you alive.
"What's got your knickers in a twist?" I questioned her.
"In your face Marilyn I'm not wearing any." She whispered cockily her lips breaking into a smile. I laughed.
Valerie spoke up before I could comeback with a smart reply. I'm glad she did because I didn't have one. "What do these dogs want with our Luna?"
"Why does any man chase a woman?" I replied smirking.
"You think it is lust." Valerie stated rather than asked.
"Well she is a pretty girl Val." I shrugged.
"Yes I know." She frowned. I noticed a strange glint in her eye as she thought about Luna but it was gone as soon as it came. "Where did they go?"
I shrugged again. "Does it matter?"
"Do you want a mutt hunting her down?"
"I think he just likes her." I giggled.
"Yes the taste of her flesh."
I crossed my arms over and tilted my chin up. "Or the size of her breasts." Satine threw her head back laughing and after wiping her tears Satine declared. "We have more pressing matters. Like the preacher. Why would he say the wolf is prowling in our city?"
"Because the wolf prowling in our city is not the one we've been chasing in the woods." Val growled as if Satine was an idiot she wished she could dismiss.
I scoffed. "You really think the boy in love with Luna has been killing people in this city without us noticing?" We're top hunters! Please, she should stop giving this boy extra credit. He is just another little werewolf that is egotistical like the rest of them. I think I can handle him, I've had my fair share of bad boys.
Valerie whipped her head so fast her hair fell out of it's bun. "In love? I thought you said it was just lust?" Valerie panicked. And her nails grew out through her gloves puncturing the fabric.
"What difference does it make?" I questioned curious.
"There is a big difference between being in love with someone's soul and being in love with someone's body."
"You're such a drag Valerie." I groaned. I usually don't have the best judgement on men and really Luna can do so much better than a werewolf. They're so vulgar and they smell so bad. I can't imagine him being good her.
And if my instincts are correct and he is in fact an unhealthy choice in her life I will rip off his head.
No harm done.
