Hello all who are interested in our community mini awards, I'm the overall hostess, Rose, and I'm here to share my love of Camp Jupiter and writing with the world of riordanverse!

I ask that everyone reads this introduction and rules before jumping straight into the awards.

How This Works :: On the first of each month a new mini award's prompt will be released and ready to play. You and your fellow competitors will write a one-shot/drabble based off of the assigned prompt, which is normally just a general idea. You can submit your one-shot or drabble in a Google Doc, Word Doc, or by copy and pasting it into the noted section.

Your one-shot will then be judged by both of the month's judges to determine your score.

Much like the CJ War Games are split between the five main cohorts, our mini awards competitors are randomly placed in a digital cohort via spin wheel. That way we are in no way biased. Each one-shot/drabble will be judged by a strict criteria and the cohort with the most points in the end will be rewarded with an extra prize!

The criteria in question will consist of these questions ::

Plot (10/10) :: Is the plot well-rounded, with a consistent theme from the beginning to end? Is the plot interesting? Does it keep you engaged and excited?

Foundation (10/10) :: Does the book have good grammar and is it edited? Can you understand their writing? Is it easy to understand what's going on?

Creative (00/10) :: Is it unique, or a cliche piece of writing? If it is cliche, is there some kind of unique element that sets it apart from others of its kind?

Overall each story could earn 30 points, depending on how many sign-up there will be a different outcome per cohort.

Now, you do not have to take part in the cohort judging if you do not want the chance of winning the extra prize, just make sure to make a note somewhere in your submission.

We want everyone to note that once you join and submit your one-shot (general information about how to join is located in the contest part) your one-shot/drabble will be added to our community archives. If this does not accommodate you let us know ASAP.

Any and all questions are guaranteed to be answered, but for a faster response we suggest tagging us :)
