Prompt: How Leo and Piper met at the Wilderness Academy.

Piper Mclean's POV: 

I groaned when my alarm went off.

'Oh yay! My first day at this new boarding school. I'm so excited.'

Please note the sarcasm. I turn over and the clock reads 5:52 AM. 

'....I'm going to be late.'

I groan again and hop out of my warm bed.

I glance one more time at my reflection. 

My choppy braids have two different color hair ties. One purple and one blue. The blue one also has a jay bird's feather in it. 

I grab my bag, blow some hair out of my face and walk out of the door onto the school bus.

I freeze when I step onto the bus.

 'This is gonna be a really funnnnn year.'

I take my seat next to a curly haired, Latino boy. He was tinkering with a fork, a wire, and some bolts. 

"What are you making?" I looked closely at the fork. 

"I'm not sure yet." He stuck out his tongue in concentration. 

"There! Finished! I present to you, Forky, the fork with hair!"

I stared at the fork that had wire tangled in its prongs. 

I hummed in reply. "It looks like a jelly fish."ExCuSe Me? Did you just insult Forky? You're going to hurt her feelings!" He covered Forky's "ears".

"Well......it's better than spaghetti." I shrug. 

He placed his hand over his chest and pretended to sob.I chuckled. 

"I'm Piper, by the way."

"Well, Piper, I'm not telling you my name because you brutally offended Forky."

 He ran his hands through Forky's ''hair''. I scoffed, playfully. "I'm just being real with her."He rolled his eyes.

Leo's POV:

I rolled my eyes at Piper's comment, but I was dying of laughter inside. 

"You're so mean to Forky. She's just trying to live her life. Did Joshua make you do this?" 

I look towards her in mock hurt.

"Who's Joshua?" She quirked an eyebrow. 

"It's Joshua. Not joshuuaa" I shake my head in mock disapproval. "Whatever." 

She rolled her eyes as I reached into my back pocket and pulled out a spoon. 

"This is Joshua. Forky's ex-boyfriend." I grin.

"....Forky was dating someone?!" She widens her eyes. 

"Yeah. He broke up with her a month ago for cheating on him with Spoony. He's Joshua's bro-"

 I'm cut off by Dylan pulling my hair. 

"Hey! Loser Leo, where's my homework?" 

He demands. "It's at the bottom of my garbage can. Actually, scratch that," I check my watch. "It's in the garbage truck right now."Piper stifles a laugh. 

"You think you're funny, Curly Cue?" 

He grabs the collar of my shirt. "Yeah, a little." I grin.

 "Oh, I'll show you!" He growls. 

"Stop!" A voice commands.

I grunt as my butt makes contact with the floor.

"Leave him alone." Piper chides Dylan.

 "Whatever man, it was just a joke." Dylan backs off. 

"Are you okay?" She asks me.

 "Yeah. Did I ever tell you, bus floors are really hard?" I

 smile at her.

 "No." She laughs. 

"You know, I think this year might actually be fun, Leo. I'm glad to have a friend like you by my side." 

She smiles back. 

"Me too." 

I say as the school bus pulls up to what I think to be 'Wilderness Academy'.
