Chapter Twenty-Two
A/N: I KNOW I LIED ABOUT LAST CHAPTER BEING THE LAST ONE IN THE DREAM WORLD AND IM SORRY BUT WRITERS BLOCK IS A BITCH AND THE CLIFFHANGER WAS ALL THAT I COULD PULL OUT OF MY ASS
This was a horrible idea.
As Dolos and I circled each other around the small battle field, all I could think about was how I really needed to stop getting myself into these situations.
"Are you going to get on with it or are we going to better my cardio by walking around in circles all day?" I mocked, trying to bait him into making the first move.
"I couldn't agree more."
"Then be my guest, you pompous twit." I hissed getting into a defensive position.
Without another word, Dolos charged at me. As he lunged with his broadsword in hand, I narrowly avoided getting skewered. However the blade grazed my side enough to make a substantial wound, making me hiss in pain.
In the same motion as I dodged his attack, I hooked my left axe on his sword to restrain a second attack and swiped my right axe vertically to slice across his chest.
Dolos stumbled back in slight shock and I used that opportunity to kick the side of his right knee, causing the god to drop to a knee.
He aggressively swung the broadsword in my direction, and I barely managed to parry the move. The sheer force of the swing caused me to stumble back.
"I guess there's some fight in you after all, Little Mortal." The minor deity quipped with a smirk as he stood again, stalking towards me menacingly.
"Enough to kick your ass." I growled bitterly. Just as the words left my lips, Dolos brought the broadsword down towards my head. I barely managed to block the hit, my twin axes hooked on the heavy blade.
As Dolos applied more pressure on the blade, my strength began to fail. Then a desperate idea sparked.
I pulled my axes outward, causing the sword to spin out of his hands. Using the brief distraction, I kicked his stomach. Dolos and his broadsword fell to the ground, his defeat finalized.
He tried to reach for his sword, but I kicked it away and aggressively stepped on his throat.
"Check mate." I smirked briefly, before glaring at the minor god. "Now let us go, Dolos."
"Well played, Little Witch." He grinned in what almost looked like pride. "You've bested me."
"Send us back." I gritted out, tired of being a prisoner in my own mind.
"Very well." He sighed dejectedly, before snapping his fingers and the world went dark.

LENORA POV:
I let out a loud gasp as my eyes snapped open. Taking a moment to let my eyes adjust to the darkness, I recognized that I laid in the hospital wing.
An amused smile grew on my face as I recognized the six people that surrounded the bed, every single person in a deep slumber. The marauders, Lily, Olivia, and Timothée all surrounded me, as if they were protecting me from harm.
"I see you have yourself a small army, Nora." I heard Harry chuckle quietly from the bed next to mine.
"Do you think we're actually back?" I asked cautiously, my green eyes assessing the sleeping forms of my friends. "What if it's another one of Dolos' tricks?"
"It's real, Nora, I can feel it." He assured me, a relieved smile on his face. "This is real."
I let out a shuttered sigh of relief, tears of joy starting to well in my eyes. Suddenly a sharp wave of pain rippled across my torso. My eyes snapped down and saw my bloodstained uniform.
"I need to have a chat with some idiots." I muttered, about to stand, but was immediately stopped by Madam Pomfrey.
"I don't think so, Lenora Scamander! First you need rest and then I'm sure Professor Dumbledore would like a word with you tomorrow." She scolded me quietly, as to not wake the others. "The two of you have been out for almost three weeks now, whomever you need to talk to can wait a little longer."
"Yes, ma'am." Harry and I chorused, knowing that we'll have to figure out what to tell the headmaster, let alone everyone else.
"Good, now get some rest. I'll send an owl to each of your parents telling them about your sudden bout of consciousness." She told the two of us, before heading towards her office.
This will be an interesting couple of days.
