The air whipped Ami's face as she fell further and farther down. She saw the top of the elevator approaching closer and closer. At the last second, she grabbed the rope in front of her and held on for dear life. She hissed in pain as the rope burned her hands, probably making them red.

Ami slowly slid down the rope until her feet touched the top of the elevator. Taking out her laser gun, she slowly burned a large hole in the roof and dropped down into it. Grinning, she pressed the button and waited for the doors to open. When they did, she sprinted out of the elevator and out of the building.

"Hey, you, stop!" A voice shouted angrily, but of course, Ami didn't. She ran straight towards a yellow hover car that was right next to her own, hoping they'd fall for the trick. The tire was shot just as Ami approached it, rending it undrivable as it tipped towards the floor. She jumped onto the hood of the hover car and slid to the other side.

Quickly unlocking her hover car, she hopped inside and pressed the gas pedal. The hover car sped into the streets as fast as it could go. Soon after, she heard the faint hum of another hover car speeding after her. As if they can catch me, Ami thought, amused.

Suddenly swerving right, she sped through a narrow street and turned right once more. As she drove, she listened for the hum of another hover car after her, pleased when she heard none. She came to a full stop in front of a huge house, the size of a castle from the Old Earth stories.

It's possible that no one will find me there... Ami thought. Satisfied, Ami got out of her car, threw a simple cloaking device on it, and walked the steps up the house. She easily broke inside and re-locked the door, not wanting it to be suspicious.

As she walked around the house, she saw that there were pictures of a little boy, a teenager that looked like Koku, and then... an image of Koku himself. That meant that this was where he lived. "Crap," Ami mumbled to herself. "I need to get out of here."

"Ah, there you are."
