"But Mama-"

"No Marinette. You can't live with Aunt Clara or Alya." Sabine glared at her daughter as she continued to do the dishes.

"But it's so boring here." Marinette groaned loudly as she shrunk in the wooden seat at the round breakfast table.

"Well it was boring in Paris for me and your Father so please, understand that this was good for us and that you need to learn to adjust. You won't just be living in Paris all your life." Sabine turned off the facet and turned to Marinette, drying her hands with a blue towel as Marinette sat up, a smug smirk on her lip.

"Oh but I will. I'll marry Nathanael and he'll make a living off of selling his paintings and I'll be a stay at home Mom and hopefully I won't have to be the Mom part." Marinette smiled and Sabine shook her head.

"Marinette, this is why we moved here. You're incredibly selfish and only think of things you need. I know that sounds blunt and rude but it's true dear." Marinette scoffed.

"I'm not," Marinette flicked her hair off of her shoulder. "Whatever, when am I going to school?"

"Tomorrow." Sabine sighed and turned back to the sink as Marinette walked out of the kitchen and up to her room, setting out a new outfit to wear to her school to make a good impression.

Marinette stepped out of the shiny silver car, her black pumps hitting the ground, a Gabriel Agreste signature bag resting at her elbow with her pink saddlebag at her side, her hair held in curls while she wore shiny white pearls around her neck with matching earrings, a black knee high skirt contrasting them with a pink shirt tucked into her waistband. She strutted into the school, students who came early gawking at her while her and her Father walked two the second floor and up to the principals office.

"Hello," she smiled, her brown curly hair falling over her freckled, brown shoulders. "I'm Mariam Latium, the principal of this establishment," her brown eyes shown as the three sat down. "Now I understand you came from Paris?"

"Yes." Tom smiled.

"Wonderful," Principal Latium smiled. "Well no worries for your daughter. We have a program here where the first week she's here different students will help her around the school. We have Aline already ready to show her around," she smiled again. "Here is your schedule, Marinette, and all of your classes will be on the first floor until you're in Grade 10. Grades 8, 9 and 10 are on the first floor, then Grades 10, 11 and 12 are on the second."

"Why are Grades 10 on both floors?" Tom asked.

"We didn't have enough classrooms on either floor to fit a full grade," she smiled. "Now you will miss a few minutes of your first class due to the first student who will teach you about everything. Like where classrooms are, where your locker is and about the schools history," there was a small knock at the door and Marinette rolled her eyes as she scanned her schedule. Homeroom, History, Literature, Science, Mathematics, and more. "That should be him now."

"Him?" Tom cleared his throat.

"Yes, he's already on Student Council and is a hard worker," she stood up and opened the door, the black haired boy having his hair in stands in front of his eyes. "Plagg, I would like you to meet Marinette. You'll be showing her around this morning and today."

"And Friday, if I understand." Plagg mumbled his eyes drifting to the side and down the hall to a piece of art from a student on the end, studying every detail.

"Yes," she smiled. "Marinette, you can go with him now." She stood up from her seat, her bag sitting on her elbow and walking into the hall with him as he studied every piece of art instead of speaking.

"Plagg!" Marinette turned around to see a small Asian girl, her red hair pulled into two buns with her bangs dyed black. He turned to her, softly smiling as she placed two pills in his hand. "Your Mom told me to give these to you. That you forgot to take them this morning," he nodded as he dry swallowed his ADHD pills. "Hi I'm Tikki. Are you new?"

"Yes. I'm from Paris." Marinette said dryly.

"What's your name?"

"Marinette."

Plagg yawned, stretching his arms up. "Well Tikki, I need to show her around."

"I'll join you!" She smiles wide.
