It was haldi day today. Shivaay and Anika were running here and there, checking all the preparations for Haldi.

Anika was dressed in a yellow short kurta and lehenga while Shivaay was dresses in a yellow kurta and white trousers.

Anika was rushing inside the Mansion with a frown on her face when she bumped into Shivaay.

Shivaay held her steady with one arm.

S- Calm down baby. What's the hurry?

A- Shivaay, leave me. I've to go get Haldi and kumkum bowl. I don't know where did I keep it.

Anika said with a frown while Shivaay found her expression cute.

S- No Worries when your Genie is here. Here is your haldi and kumkum bowl.

Shivaay said while forwarding a tray with haldi and kumkum in silver bowls.

Anika smiled in relief and took the tray from him.

A- Thank you so much. I don't know what would I do without you?

Anika pecked his cheek and rushed off. Shivaay touched his cheek in shock and a sheepish smile made its way on his lips.

He scratched the back of his neck with a sheepish smile and went to look at the arrangements.

Soon, it was Haldi time. All the guests gathered in the Garden. Tia and Robin also made their way to the garden and they were mesmerized by the decorations.
Everything looked so beautiful.

T- Wow, Anika and Shivaay! This is so beautiful.

A- we're happy that you liked it. Now let's start the Haldi ceremony.

Anika said with a wide smile and Tia nodded her head. Tia and Robin settled down on the magenta couch and Anika kept the Haldi and kumkum bowls on the centre table.

A- So who will apply the Haldi first?

Anika was about to turn to look at the guests when Tia held her hand.

T- You.

Anika looked at Tia in Confusion.

A- Huh?

T- You and Shivaay have the first right to apply haldi on us. We did so wrong with you but still you're here, making our day special. You have all the rights to start this ceremony, atleast for being our friend.

Tia said and Anika's eyes got filled with tears. She looked at Shivaay and he also nodded his head with a smile.

Anika smiled and put a kumkum Tilak on Tia and Robin's forehead and then applied Haldi on Tia's cheek while Shivaay applied Haldi on Robin's cheek. Then Shivaay applied Haldi on Tia's face and Anika applied Haldi on Robin's face.

Soon, all the friends and the relatives started applying Haldi on Tia and Robin.

After Haldi, all the friends started dancing. Anika was enjoying all the dance while Shivaay was admiring Anika.

Soon Tia pulled Anika along with her to dance. Anika also danced a little.

Anika then excused herself to instruct the waiters to serve snacks. She looked around to find Shivaay but she couldn't find him. She frowned in Confusion.

A- Where did Shivaay go?

She entered inside the Mansion to look for Shivaay when someone pulled her behind the pillar.

She was scared but then she relaxed when she saw it was Shivaay.

A- Shivaay, you scared me.

Shivaay looked at her with a chuckle.

A- Where did you go and what are you doing here?

Anika asked him and Shivaay was just looking at her face.

He then held Anika's hand and she felt something on her hand and saw that it was Haldi.

She looked at Shivaay in Confusion.

A- What are you doing with Haldi?

Shivaay then held her hand and made her touch his cheek. Now his right cheek was coated with Haldi. He did the same with his left cheek.

Anika looked at him in surprise.

A- I never knew you were so fond of Haldi.

Anika said with a chuckle but Shivaay was just looking at her.

He leaned closer to her and Anika got nervous.

A- Wha...t... Ar...e... You.... Doi...ng?

He leaned towards her and applied haldi on her cheek through his cheek and Anika's breath got stuck in her throat.

A- Sh...ivaay...

Anika whispered his name as he did the same with other cheek.

Shivaay looked at her as her eyes was closed and she was breathing heavily. He smiled at her and tucked a hair strand behind her ear and Anika opened her eyes to look at him.

S- I realised that we never had our official haldi.

Shivaay said and Anika's cheek turned to the deepest shade of red.

She hugged Shivaay and he wrapped his arms around her and pecked her forehead.
