Chapter Ten: Double Shot At Nothing

After filming ended for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Vinny immediately went to Cinta's house, and he stayed there for nearly three weeks, helping Cinta with her grandparents and having lots of sex.

Cinta took Vinny being here as a sign that he wanted to be something more than they are now until Vinny dropped the bombshell on her that he was going to Arizona to film Double Shot at Love season 3.

"What? I thought we had something going on," Cinta said.

"We do, and I want us to be more, but MTV had already green light the show in April," Vinny said.

"Vinny, we have been messing around since late January. You didn't think to let them know you wouldn't be able to do the show because you're in a semi-relationship; I'm not having sex with you to just have sex, Vinny, I fucking love you!" Cinta exclaimed as she wanted to smack Vinny across the face.

Vinny was shocked by Cinta's confession.

"Oh, wow, I feel the same way. I love you, Cinta, but I have to film Double Shot at Love season 3; I won't pick anyone, and we can date," Vinny said.

"Do you think I'm stupid? You can go to Arizona and go kiss all of them bitches then try to come back to me," Cinta said.

"Cinta, you have to understand," Vinny said.

"I do understand, and I can not handle it. I don't know what you expected from me, but I can't sit here and be your girlfriend, knowing that you're in a hotel or resort with a bunch of girls. That makes me uncomfortable, Vinny," Cinta said, explaining her feelings about him doing Double Shot at Love season 3.

Vinny didn't want to lose Cinta, but he had a job to do, and people were already packed and waiting to start filming.

"How about we see if we still feel the same way for each other after I finish filming, then we can officially date," Vinny said.

Cinta rolled her eyes.

"Whatever, don't expect me to make a cameo or anything on that fucking stupid show," Cinta said, walking away from Vinny.

After that conversation, Vinny left Cinta's house and went to Arizona; Cinta was pissed.

Still, she went on with her life as she had bigger things to worry about, like her grandparents, multiple businesses, and new music.

"Girl, you got a bunch of gifts in this room," Tommie said as she led me into the living room.

"I have more gifts?" I asked, confused because I thought I had already opened all my gifts earlier.

The room was filled with several lavish floral displays, gifts, treats that spelled out my name, cookies with my face on them, and a four-tiered cake.

"This is all from one person," Sammi said as she handed me the first gift.

"What is this?" I asked as she opened the Tiffany jewelry box.

"It doesn't say anything?" Tommie asked me as she stood next to Sammi.

"Who is this from? Who sent me all of this?" I asked.

"Okay, before we tell you, you remember when you told you that this trip was planned by someone who loves you so much," Sammi said.

"Yes?" I said, confused.

"Well, this person also got you all these gifts, including those pair of heels that Italian fashion designer Giuseppe Zanotti custom made for you," Sammi said.

"This is a lot from one person," I said.

I held the diamond necklace in my hand.

"Who is this all from?" I asked once again.

"It's from Vinny," Tommie answered.

"What?" I asked, surprised.

"He asked us to help him plan all of this for you because he wants you to know that he loves you even though you're upset with him, but he is showering with gifts because you deserve them," Sammi explained to me.

"He also got you this," Tommie said, giving me a small velvet box.

"No, I hope it's not a ring," I said.

"Girl, it's a diamond ring, a promise ring. The pussy must be the bomb for him to be doing all of this," Tommie said.

I playfully rolled my eyes and chuckled.

"I have to thank him, right," I said.

"For sure," Sammi said.

I got teary-eyed.

"This is the most anyone has done for my birthday," I said.

"He set a bar; that I hope he can keep up," Tommie said.

"I'm so startled," I said.

"Oh, here's the card," Sammi said.

I opened the card and read it.

Dear Giacinta,

Our road to friendship has been a little less than conventional, but it has worked for us. I know you will always be there for me. That's one of the reasons I fall in love with you.

I know you do not have time for a relationship right now and that you may even be afraid to commit to me, but I am patient. I will be by your side, regardless of my status with you. I have never felt so attached to a person in my life. I love talking to you or just being around you.

Please, don't ever be afraid to be honest with me, because I will always be your friend. Mainly, I wanted you to know I will wait for you. All I need is to know you care, and I believe you do already. I love your hugs and encouraging words, and I want to say, "thank you" for everything. I have loved you as my friend for a while now, and I would love to love you even more.
