𓇢𓆸 felicia's daily style includes jeans and t-shirts, mostly in neutral colors, the more inconspicuous the better. she likes ripped jeans, and her favorite pair of converse. she doesn't like drawing attention to herself, which is quite the opposite from her confident alter-persona. when in suit for black cat, she wears black lycra or spandex, looking akin to something like a form-fitting black tracksuit, lined with white fur and needle-sharp claws at the fingertips. she wears a black half-mask over her eyes that is infused with stolen stark tech. this technology allows her to acutely change her appearance and hide her identity– she uses it to turn her hair white and shield the top half of her face.

𓇢𓆸 felicia used to be known as a very flirty persona, with a wit as sharp as a knife and a mouth to match. she can be a bit socially awkward and come off as rude, mostly because she doesn't known how to talk to people anyone. she used to be a fun-loving girl with dreams as big as her heart, however, due to circumstances in her life, she was forced to close herself off. her black cat persona is much more confidant, using humor and flirtatious to deflect from her feelings. the cross-over between black cat and felicia hardy is few and far between, but sometime she slips up an let's herself to revert into whatever she feels more comfortable with– usually so when she feels threatened. she still does care about those around her, however, she feels she can't show any emotion without in fear of being vulnerable.

𓇢𓆸  felicia was born in flushing, new york, but never really had a set place to call home. despite her father's wealth, they moved around constantly, never actually moving fully from new york. felicia's father, walter, was a renowned cat burglar with great skill, however, couldn't never quite seem to support his family with what he stole. felicia's mother aided her husband in his crime, hiding his purloined items and using what little they had to give their daughter the best. felicia didn't learn of her family's apparent debt until many years later, after her father was put in jail for one of his heists, and lydia hardy was forced to support her daughter on her own. lydia was a fabulous accountant, and stole if she could give felicia a good life, however, it's wasn't long before their debt began to weigh on felicia.
even with her father in prison, felicia felt the pressure to follow in his footsteps (and his insatiable, genetic need to steal things). she began small, shoplifting and stealing from friends, not quiet committing to the persona until college began. around then, she met her (now) ex-boyfriend, ryan livingston– who later went on to sexually assault her after they'd been dating for a good amount of time. felicia shut down completely and closed herself off from her family, choosing to move out of her mother's house and get an apartment across brooklyn. she moved in with peter parker during her first semester of college, which was shortly before she took up the alias black cat and began burglarizing museum and banks, growing her persona after she attracted the attention of a particular arachnid-themed superhero.

𓇢𓆸 ryan livingston – ryan and felicia met just before felicia began college, after he pretended to be boyfriend to ward off the advances of a drunk guy at a frat party. they hit it off and dated for some time– felicia felt very happy with him, and couldn't prepare herself for when the person she trusted most sexually assaulted her, and got away with it. she broke up with him sometime after, the incident completely changing her view of the world and her ability to trust anyone. she was never with anybody else until she met peter, despite black cat's seductive tendencies.

𓇢𓆸 peter and felicia were friends first, or acquaintances really. they both needed a roommate in order to afford living in an apartment, moving in together without really knowing each other. felicia was very closed off and didn't really speak much to peter unless it came to bills or groceries, and remained that way until about a month of living together
𓇢𓆸  friends with benefits – their friendship blossomed after a few months, and then into something slightly more. peter was lonely after losing everyone– his friends, his family, and especially mj. felicia on the other hand felt she needed to prove to herself she wasn't afraid of intimacy, but only felt comfortable if she felt there was no attachment in the relationship– she couldn't handle getting close to someone just to be hurt again. they continued to be good friends, but allowed themselves to enjoy the benefits of having no strings attached that came with that relationship.
𓇢𓆸 through the months upon months of knowing each other, and supporting the sort of relationship they had, felicia began to realize she did have feelings for peter, but worried what might happen if she truly opened up to him( or if he found out about black cat. the transition into a romantic relationship came very easily, much to her surprise, upon finding out peter shared the same feelings.

additional information.
𓇢𓆸 neither peter or felicia realized the other was spider-man/black cat. they would take turns patching the other up, at least when they would inexplicable show up back at their shared apartment, busted up and bleeding from another fight.
𓇢𓆸  growing up felicia was a serious kleptomaniac, however, she grew out of it once she got older. her father's arrest brought the habit back.
𓇢𓆸  after her assault, felicia taught herself various martial-arts and self-defense techniques, vowing to never let anyone else touch her again without her consent.
