𓇢𓆸 milena is a very intelligent, clever individual. she uses wit as a defense mechanism, despite having a very calm and sweet demeanor from afar. she is notably calm in tense situations, and thinks quickly, making her a valuable asset in stressful times. she tends to be optimistic, sometimes to her own detriment, mostly because she wants to see the good in people– at least until she's proven wrong. milena is headstrong and set in her own beliefs, and can become deeply, emotionally attached to a person or a cause if she believes enough in them/it. her time with the second army gave her much needed clarity of the needs of her country, and she loves ravkan more than herself. if she had the mind or the need to, she would most definitely sacrifice herself for her country, and her friends.

𓇢𓆸 milena was born to two very wealthy ravkan noblemen. her mother was a natural born citizen of ravkan, whose family was rooted deeply in ravkan heritage, and was one of the oldest living connections to the ravkan throne. her father, on the other hand, was born in ravka, but descended from fjerdan wealth. unfortunately, her father did not practice fjerdan customs, and used his background to crest political alliances for the royal family.
milena met nikolai when she was very young, and spent her entire life around him. they were fast friends, and spent much time together as children, when their parents would hold court together. milena began identifying nikolai as her closest friend as they grew older. milena became a commander of the second army at eighteen, which put a minor strain on their relationship, as milena was often gone, busying herself with military duties, and nikolai spent much time learning to follow his father's footsteps. by her ninteenth birthday, and a top commander of the second army, milena's parents announced the worst. in lieu of vasily's death, nikolai was in line for the throne, and in need of a queen to rule alongside him. in order to secure a spot, permanently, in the ravkan court, nikolai and milena were arranged to be married. with her parents' connections with the ravkan nobles and their fjerdan alliances, their were too good of a political alliance to refuse. nikolai and milena were married quickly, and had to adjust to their new lives as king and queen. their relationship became rocky after their alliance began. fortunately, their friendship survived the marriage, as well as newfound feelings for each other.

𓇢𓆸 alina starkov – 6/10 – milena was a bit wary of alina when she first met her, especially at the prospect possibly dissolving her marriage for nikolai to gain better political traction. however, after getting to know alina more, milena's respects her upmost.
