Vin'nyla

(Vin'nyla is pronounced VIN-NIella)

We stalked through the town, I leading my crew, to the nearest pub. It was Vin'nyla's finest, The Starlette Drop. I burst through the doors into the crowded pub, my men following me. As soon as we stepped in, heads started to turn. Whispers where in every corner, silent, but echoing. The hum of talking had stopped. Through the crowd of people, I tried to find the bartender. As if the crowd of people could hear my thoughts, a path cleared throughout the middle of the pub, leading directly to the bartender. I glanced suspiciously around at the crowd that had parted, and they quavered. Shrugging I pushed through into the path, willing my crew to follow. I took off my hat and slammed it down on the counter. I could feel the eyes of the crowd watching as I sat down.

"Hello, Archeria." The bartender said stiffly.

Remembering my reputation among these people, I grinned and said, "Eyy, why so uptight Coleman?"

"How- Why- Why do you know my name?" He said, voice shaking.

I grinned even wider, and the pub grew absolutely silent, watching, waiting. I leaned forward, putting my hand on his shoulder. He flinched. Lowering my voice to a whisper, I said,

"Well, Coleman, you see........" I grabbed his shirt. He jumped and you could tell it was using all his willpower not to scream. I leaned in and whispered, "It says your name on your name tag."

Blushing profusely, he gulped, gave a short smile, than scurried to the bathroom. Still grinning, I turned to face the crowd. Everyone avoided eye contact. Grabbing my hat, I scanned the pub with my eyes.

"Mm. Them, 'Sky demons' as yall call them, chased us, attacked us, and left us.......here. Our ship broke, and we lost lots o' men. Does ANYONE here know someone or is someone that can help us?" When no one responded, I spoke a bit louder and said, "My PRECIOUS SHIP, The Starfinder IS BROKEN. This TRAGEDY makes me EXTREMELY UPSET AND CRABBY. SO BEFORE I do SOMETHING bad, please help." Being a reputable pirate can come in handy sometimes. Immediately at least 3 people stepped forward saying they know someone or was someone. After gathering the information I needed, the crowd of people immediately left the pub. My boots clacking on the stone floor, we left, my men following me.

I stepped outside, and a strong gust of wind hit my face. Pushing the hair out of my face, I looked to my left, and immediately pushed my men back into the pub. My men were panicking, not knowing what to do. I pushed them all into the pub one last time and shut them in, slamming the door. I ran out to the center of the pathway, and looked upwards. I unsheathed my sword, and charged forward.
