Chapter 5

"Truth or dare" Hyewon asked, staring up at the boy opposite her.

They'd moved to the middle of the rug, sat crossed legged and facing each other.

Hyewon had been too scared to say dare yet but hoped he would start it off.

"Truth" he muttered, causing Hyewon to sigh in annoyance.

"So how's the dating scene over here?"

He smirked at her before answering, clearly planning his response.

"Why are you asking.....desperate to find out about my love life are we?"

"Stop avoiding the question you idiot" she yelled, pointing her finger in his face.

"Well considering this is where I've been staying, I guess you can tell its pretty disappointing" he chuckled.

"Really?"

"Well I don't have a girlfriend do I.....at least not yet anyway" he said grinning at Hyewon.

She was completely oblivious to his comment, her innocence made Xiumin chuckle.

"Your turn now" Xiumin announced, excited for his turn.

"Okay then"

"Truth or dare?"

"Truth" she instantly said, determined to not be the one to start the dares.

He sat for a moment thinking of his answer, a grin threatening his lips as he spoke.

"What do you think of me?"

"What do you mean?"

"Can you handle my handsomeness" Xiumin replied jokingly, cupping his chin in his hand before chucking his head back in laughter.

"Well, I'm not sure I would call it handsome but you could probably pass for okay" she said, looking him up and down mockingly.

"Okay? I'm far better than okay, haven't you seen my face?" Xiumin yelled, pushing his face towards Hyewon's so that they were only a few centimetres apart.

He continued, unknowing of Hyewon's awkwardness, moving closer towards her.

She stopped breathing...freezing at his closeness and only spoke when she ran out of breath.

"Okay you're handsome!" Hyewon shouted, pulling her face as far from his as possible.

"I knew I was irresistable. Even you've fallen in love" he chattered, his lips curving into a smirk as he stared at Hyewon's face.

"Okay, whatever you think" she answered.

"I'm picking dare this time" he announced, standing up and staring at her.

"Ok" Hyewon said, searching the room until her eyes stopped at the counter.

"I dare you to put ten marshmallows in your mouth at once"

"Easy" he shouted, running over to the bag and shoving them inside his mouth.

"Ewww" Hyewon yelled at him. "That's disgusting"

"From what you said I'm far from disgusting" he muttered moving back to her and sitting closely in front of her.

"It's your turn now" he continued, a smirk appearing on his face.

"Truth or Dare"

"Dare"

"I dare you to kiss the person to your left" he said, his lips widening into a bigger smile as he stared at her face.

"W-what?" Hyewon asked, looking up at the boy like a deer caught in headlights.

She tried to get out of the dare but by the time the words came to her mouth Xiumin's lips had already met hers.

When he moved away from her she looked up into his eyes and he smiled widely at her, finding her shocked expression adorable.

"Did I make you jump Cinnamon? I'm sorry i-"

He was forced to stop speaking when Hyewon quickly placed her lips against his again pulling him towards her and closing her eyes. They kissed sweetly, holding each other close and Xiumin broke into a smile at her sudden change of attitude.

The kiss was more relaxed this time and Hyewon's heart began to beat faster in her chest, causing a warmness to surround her body.

She pulled away from him grinning brightly and they sat watching each other for a moment, both shining with happiness.

The silence encompassed them and the snow continued to fall outside.

They huddled close together, both staring at the flames of the fire and slowly falling asleep.

At about 11am Hyewon woke up with her head on Xiumin's shoulder, slowly pushing herself away.

She brushed her fingers through her short, auburn hair and pulled it up into a ponytail away from her face.

(I probably look awful)

She turned to look at the boy next to her, still fast asleep and his fringe falling to the side of his face. She wanted to reach her finger out and push it away, but couldn't help thinking how embarrassed she'd feel if he woke up.

(Why does this guy look better than me?)

His face was completely clear of blemishes, his skin perfect and no bags sat under his eyes.

Hyewon stared at him in complete disbelief.

(I try all of the skin products available and go to bed ridiculously early, still looking a mess in the morning but he doesn't even try and looks like that? Why is the world so bloody cruel?)

She watched him for a moment as he slept, a small smile creeping onto her face.

Eventually she forced her eyes away and stood up, stretching her aching back and rubbing her dead legs.

(And this is why you don't sleep on the floor)

She limped over to the windows, hoping that the snow had magically disappeared overnight but to her disappointment it was still piled up high.

The cafe was a lot brighter now and the coffee machines shone slightly as a small slit of light reached them.

She peered behind the counter which was filled with different mugs, all arranged neatly on a shelf.

There was a sudden noise behind her and a voice appeared in the silent room.

"Morning Cinnamon"

She turned to stare at the boy who was blinking his eyes tiredly and brushing his hand through his hair.

(How can he look cute and hot at the same time?)

He smiled at her and she returned one too.

"Did you sleep okay?"

"Apart from my back it was alright"

"I'm sure seeing my face made it all a lot better"  he chuckled, grinning widely.

"So you're even more full of yourself today?"

"I wouldn't say that. More like I'm checking something"

"What's that?"

"That would be telling wouldn't it?"

"So...any plans for getting out of here"

"Yeah, I'll wait for everyone to come back to work and save us"

"That's your plan?"

"Trust me Cinnamon, there's no other way. Plus, you should be happy that you get to spend time with a guy like me"

Hyewon chuckled, staring at the snow covered windows and suddenly thinking of her friends.

A thought suddenly popped into her head.

(Wait! Why weren't they looking for me)

She turned around, sitting down on one on the chairs, resting her arms on the table.

(Their friend goes missing overnight and they couldn't care less about what happened to them? I at least expected Baekhyun to care a bit)

"Something wrong?" Xiumin questioned.

Hyewon looked up at the boy, slight worry was shadowing his face and she smiled lightly at him in reassurance.

"Nothing, just thinking about my crappy friends"

"Why are they crappy?"

"You'd think they'd come find me, wouldn't you?"

"Well they might not know where to find you"

"I told them where I'm going"

"Well maybe they got snowed in too"

"Haha, I don't think they're as unlucky as me?"

"How can you say it's unlucky?" Xiumin muttered, wandering behind the counter and wrapping an apron around his waist.

"You do realise there won't be any customers"

"Obviously, but you've got to remember the best thing about being trapped in a café with the handsomest barista ever"

"What's that?" Hyewon asked, her smile widening.

"Watching me make free coffee" he replied winking at her.
