♔ Chapter Twelve. ♔
I slowly opened my eyes, feeling the sting from my cheek immediately. I wined as I sat up and ran a hand through my hair tiredly. I had had the worst nightmare in the universe and I never want to experience that again.
How the hell did I become Cinderella? Damn, that shit was scary.
I mentally laughed.
"Oh praise the king, you're awake! I was starting to think his hand killed you." A familiar voice said, I flinched in fear and looked up to see Jesse holding a bowl in his hand, my eyes widen as I realized it was Jesse but not Jesse.
"Seriously, Cinderelvis, you have to stop staring at me like I am about to poison you." Jesse said, but it was more of an awe look because here I was wondering what the actual flying fuck was going on?. "What were you thinking getting into a fight with a man four times your size, stupid?"
Still wasn't Jesse, this was Dante.
I was still here.
I am still in this goddamn dream.
"Oh my God." I exclaimed softly.
"What is happening to you?" Dante asked as he sat closer to me, I moved backwards while staring at him with wide eyes.
"Don't." I put a hand forward to warn him not to move closer. "Listen, I a-am not your friend Cinderelvis, okay. My name is...Elvis. El. Vis!"
He looked at me with a blank expression. "Really? You are not Cinderelvis but your name is Elvis? Fine, my name is not Dantay, it's Dante." He said and rolled his eyes.
"Stop calling me that!"
"What is happening to you? You have been acting really strange. Everybody loves you here and you never do anything to get punched, you are like the nicest person in this town. Did you hit your head? Did something happen?"
"Dante!" I called in a loud voice. "I am not lying! I didn't hit my head! I'm just...something is wrong, okay? I'm not supposed to be here." I said as I looked around.
"Oh, I should have left you on the streets?"
I sighed. "What I mean is, you are not talking to your best friend, I am someone else living the life of your best friend. I'm not Cinderelvis, we just....probably look alike, I think."
Dante just stared at me and then sighed. "Okay, I guess I have to put you to a test." He said and cleared his throat, I gave him a confused frown. "Dreams come true only when you believe, Dreams come true only when you-" he trailed off and looked at me.
My frown deepened as I waited for him to finish. "Only when you what?"
"Oh God, you really are not Cinderelvis." He said in a low tone. "He came up with that himself and tells me that almost all the time." Dante said with wide eyes. "Who are you?"
"I told you I'm not him. My name is Elvis. Elvis Giroud. One minute I was in my bedroom and the next? I find myself in this creepy ass Willy wonka land. I don't even know how or what I'm even doing here but I need to get out of this shithole immediately!"
"Oooh the weird accent is coming out, you are definitely not Cinderelvis." He said as he shook his head, standing up. "What is a shithole?" He shook his head. "Wait, If you're not Cinderelvis then where is he?"
"I don't exactly know, Dante. I'm not Google! Google wouldn't even know that! He probably doesn't even exist! Wait, he probably does since you all happen to be here. What am I saying? I'm going crazy."
"Goog- okay, I'm trying to catch up with all the things you're saying, Elvis without the Cinder." He sighed. "Well, w-what was the last thing you remember before appearing here in his body or...before you both traded places maybe?"
I opened my mouth to answer but then I stopped myself from spilling the truth. What? You don't expect I tell him that I slit my wrists in the bathtub Hannah baker style, do you?
"I fell asleep." I lied. "I just fell asleep and woke up here."
"How do you look so much like him?" Dante was still in disbelief. "His eyes, his hair, his...everything."
"I guess somehow we ended up looking alike." I said and a sigh of frustration escaped my lips. "I mean this has to be a dream, y'all here kinda look like everyone I know from where I come from, except I'm kinda trapped here and you are not....them. It's like a switch in this dream. You all act different."
Dante chuckled. "Oh, darling. First of all, this is no dream." He shook his head. "This life is real. Very real. I'm real."
"Sure."
Dante slapped my cheek hard immediately and I gasped as I clutched it. "Ow! What was that for?"
"Was the pain real?"
"Of fucking course!"
"See," he grinned. "I am real."
I scowled at him as I caressed my cheek. "You are such an asshole."
"I am such a what?"
"Never mind." I looked around. "Do you know how I can leave this place? I don't mean your house, I mean this place." I questioned.
Dante shook his head.
"I'm not so sure how to get you back to your universe, I didn't even know there was another world out there. I mean there are crazy things in our world for sure but you just don't seem to belong here. You speak with an accent I haven't heard around here before and such words that shouldn't be on your tongue."
"How do you just....believe me?"
"Well for one, you have been wailing about how you are from another universe and not my Cinderelvis and two, I know Cinderelvis, I've known him since we were children and you may look like him but I know you are not him." Dante said as he stared at me intensely. "There is a certain light Cinderelvis tends to have in his eyes regardless of everything. You....don't have it, unfortunately."
I swallowed, understanding what he meant even if he wasn't clear about what he saw. I quickly looked away and cleared my throat.
"Are you maybe from the kingdom of Corona?"
I looked at him like he was crazy. "Uh, I'm sure I'm not. Why would I be from the virus?"
"Virus?"
"Wait. What is Corona?"
"You know? King Frederic and Queen Arianna?" He said in an tone like it was meant to be obvious and I was meant to understand. "The royal family whose daughter got kidnapped as an infant in her bedroom? Few years after I was born, apparently."
My brows flew up. "Wait, Rapunzel?"
"Oh so you haven't lost all your marbles. You do know her."
"Everybody does."
"Yeah, true. It was a tragic incident." Dante sighed. He definitely wasn't getting the fact that everyone in my world knew who she was. Rapunzel indeed was iconic. "I just hope she's still alive somewhere."
"She is." I sighed. "Locked up in a tower currently but she'll find them later so yeah."
"How do you know that?" He frowned at me.
"Because all this is a book." I said, gesturing with my hands. "Or a movie or....both!" I sighed. "I know about Rapunzel, I know about a lot of princesses including Cinderella here and I shouldn't be fucking here."
"Dramatic," Dante muttered and I glared at him.
"Okay then, Elvis no Cindy. If you're right, we have to figure out a way to get you back to your universe and get Cinderelvis back."
"How do we do that?"
"I don't know yet but that is something we both have to figure out. But for the main time, you have to not annoy everyone."
"How do I annoy people?" I asked with a frown.
"You had a man twice our sizes combined punch you. I'm sure he didn't do that because you greeted him good morning." He said, his brows furrowed and a forced smile plastered on his face.
"I panicked! And it's his fucking fault! That huge fucking WWE wrestler."
He frowned as if trying to understand what I said and then shook his head. "Anyways, one thing Cinderelvis knows he should never do is leave his home for a long period of time which you have so I'd advice you to head back home. His stepmother and step siblings are evil creatures who somehow still breathe."
I snorted. "You don't need to tell me. I know." I sighed. "Can't believe they're also that way here but then, I am Cinderella, they wouldn't let me die even." I muttered the last part.
"I'm sorry I didn't quite get that."
"Never mind. So, if I'm Cinderella, I mean...Elvis. Then that means, my father is dead here."
Dante nodded. "Yeah, wait how did you know that?"
"Like I said, I know everything about Cinderella's life," I sighed. "Everything but you. You were never in the story which is why I'm confused. You might have been a side character but there is nothing about you."
Dante was never in the books or the movies, Cinderella's friends were animals, ANIMALS.
"That's odd. If there was ever a book about my best friend, I don't understand why I'd be erased from it." Dante said as he got up. "But that isn't my business right now."
Why didn't they tell us about her friends? She was a nice girl which meant she had to have friends but Dante was never introduced.
"But wait, why do you keep saying story? Are we...documented?"
"I'll explain later. For now, does this place have a witch I could go to for help?"
"I am not going to no witch, Cinderelvis."
I sighed.
"We'll figure a way out to get you back to your world but for now, you have to do as I said earlier, you are now cinderelvis." He shrugged. "And you have to act like he would and not complain about everything! If word gets out that you're not from our world, they will come for you." He said firmly and my brows knitted curiously.
"They? W-Who are they?"
"Dante." A deep voice called from upstairs startling me. Dante's eyes widen and he cursed under this breath as he looked at me, both our faces filled with horror.
"Who is that?"
"My father." He replies. The door suddenly opens and my heart seemed to stop for a second as the figure began to enter the room.
"Just act like Cinderelvis." Dante rapidly said.
"I don't know how t-" I trailed off once the man was standing right in front of us. "Hey son, I'm home." He said with a big smile and patted his round tummy.
Dante's father had dark hair, he was chubby and had a moustache, he had dirt on his forehead and was wearing a red coat with a brow belt and black pants accompanied with black boots.
Dante blinked and faked a laugh, he quickly stood up, and ran straight to his father. "Father! Welcome home." He said as he gave him a tight hug.
I frowned but quickly fixed my face and faked a smile.
"Aye, I see someone missed me eh?" He chuckled as he hugged his son back.
"How was Camelot?" Dante asked as he pulled away.
Camelot?
Dante's father smiled. "The same." He beamed. "It was quite peaceful during my three days stay there and I'm thankful because we all know how Camelot can be." He chuckled and looked over at me and his smile grew. "Oh, Cinderelvis."
I was nervous, what was I supposed to do? I suppose Cinderelvis was just like Cinderella in the book right? All happy and sunny and....birdy, right?
"Hello," I gave a fake smile and joined my hands together. "W-Welcome back home." I said, trying to mimic Dante's accent, and to tell how bad I did, Dante face palmed behind his father.
Dante's father frowned. "Why are you talking like that?"
"Um, it's Canadian." I answered.
"Cana-what?"
"You don't know it." I said with a fake, unsteady smile. "It's something new I started...learning in the books."
"Mmhmm." Dante agreed. "Cinderelvis has been learning a new...accent, father. He's quite good at it."
I nodded in agreement.
Dante's father stared at me for a while and I began to feel awkward so I gave a small smile. "I-I should go." I said and stood up from the bed. "My...stepmother would be searching for me.
"Who are you?" Dante's father suddenly asked and I froze.
"W-What?" I blinked, nervously.
"Um, f-father, what do you mean? This is Cinderelvis." Dante said with a nervous laugh to cover things up and I joined him as well.
"Yes, in the flesh." I nodded.
"I've been around long enough to know an impersonator." He said, sounding angry. "And Cinderelvis would never call Lady Tremaine his stepmother." He said, firmly.
Oh-
So, that failed.
"Get me my riffle, Dante." He ordered.
My eyes widen. Riffle? "I should really go." I said with a fake smile, panicking already. I quickly walked past him to get the fuck out of here but before I did, he grabbed my arm, stopping me and I looked up at him with wide eyes, he pulled me back.
"Who are you and what in the name of King Uther have you done with Cinderelvis?" He asked as he pulled out a knife from God knows where and placed it against my neck.
"Father!" Dante shouted.
"Woah!" I exclaimed. "Y-You've got all this misunderstood." I nervously laughed.
"Talk. Now." He gritted.
I gulped. "If you kill me then you won't be getting any answers so y-you might wanna reconsider the throat slitting."
Dante's father didn't look like he was gonna reconsider and instead he tightened his grip on my arm. "I will cut you open if you don't tell me where my boy is!"
"Father, stop!" Dante yelled.
"This boy isn't CINDERELVIS!"
"I KNOW!" Dante yelled back.
His father frowned as he looked at him. "What in God's name do you mean you know?"
Dante gulped. "I know he's not Cinderelvis, and all you have to do is put the knife down so we can explain or you'll never see Cinderelvis again and plus you'll be arrested for murder."
Dante's father gave this a thought as he glared daggers at me and then he let go off my arm roughly, making me take a step backwards. "Fine!" He roared as Dante rushed to my side.
"Are you alright?"
"I think so." I replied, rubbing my arm. "Jesus, was he really going to kill me?"
"Yes." Dante answered. "I'm sorry about my father."
"Now, the explanation." Dante's father demanded, and at that moment Dante and I exchanged looks.
"Well," I cleared my throat.
"I'm not sure how you're going to react to this." Dante said, his accent dripping at every word.
"Lay it on me." His dad said seriously.
♚ ♚ ♚
"I need a beer." Dante's father said after we had explained it all to him. We were fathered in Dante's living room or whatever it is called in this world. We were all stead around a sturdy wooden table. "So, you're telling me you just appeared here out of the blue in the body of Cinderelvis, and you don't know how?"
I nodded. "Yes, it's the truth. And it is not exactly his body? In my world this body belongs to me too, so hearing he has the same body as mine is...something. What I do know sir, is that this isn't my home or my place and I need to go back. But how can I know how to leave when I don't even know how I got here?"
Dante nodded. "At first, I thought Cinderelvis must have hit his head hard but no, he's not lying."
Dante's father let out a heavy sigh. "This is something."
"How did you know it wasn't me immediately, while your son here tried to convince me that I was the guy I said I wasn't." I said the last part firmly and Dante rolled his eyes at me.
"I was a friend of Francis."
"Am I supposed to know who that is?" I asked, looking at both of them.
"Cinderelvis's father." Dante replied.
"Oh, so that's his name?" I said with a slow nod.
I never really knew what Cinderella's father's name was.
Francis Tremaine.
Dante's dad nodded. "I carried Cinderelvis in my arms when he was born, he is practically my other son. I've known Francis Tremaine since we were little boys and he was my best friend so Cinderelvis is my responsibility as well." He said, smiling at his son.
Dante smiled back before looking at me. "Cinderelvis and I have known each other since we were infants. Ever since Cinderelvis's father died, his repellent, sickening, repulsive, foul stepmother wouldn't let us near the house to see Cinderelvis all the time." Dante said with enough venom. "She claimed the house."
"Son, what did I say about being brusque?" Dante's father asked with arched brows.
Dante shut his eyes for a second. "Sorry, father. I can't help it when she's involved."
Dante's father chuckled. "Yes, but still have some respect for the lady even though she's a smellfungus."
I frowned. "S-Smellfungus? What is that? A fungus that smells? You both have been saying some things that I don't even understand."
They both laughed. "My bad, I forgot you are not from around here." Dante's dad said.
"A smellfungus is someone who finds fault in everything, just like Lady Tremaine finds faults in everything Cinderelvis does."
"I'll look around for answers." Dante's dad said and I smiled. "This surprise is actually worse than that one time that kid from Agrabah stole my goods with his stupid monkey." He said and suddenly got angry as if reliving the day.
"Father hates that boy." Dante said with a smile and patted his father's shoulder, I chuckled softly. "He's been a pest to father's business and I swear to Hercules, if I find that thief, I'll kill him slowly."
"He stole everything that one time!" Dante's dad said in frustration. "That....dirty thief."
My brows flew up once I listened. "Wait a sec, does this kid have black hair...and wears a red jacket with no shirt and white pan-trousers?" I rephrased.
Dante and his father frowned. "That's him! Wait, you know him?"
I chuckled. "Aladdin? Of course, I know him, I mean everyone knows him, he's quite popular."
"Ugh, I pity his family. He's become popular for being a thief!" Dante's father exclaimed.
"No, n-not that." I snickered. "So, if Aladdin is still stealing then...he hasn't met her." I said out loud but more to myself.
"Met who?" Dante asked.
"Jasmine. Well, Princess Jasmine as you all probably call her." I shrugged. "Wait, how is this crossover even happening in this world? Rapunzel and Aladdin and Cinderella, it's all...confusing." I questioned myself.
"Wait," Dante's father's brows knitted. "If you say you're not from our world then, h-how do you know that thief boy and..and princess Jasmine and the missing princess Rapunzel?" Dante's father asked, looking confused.
"That is true, how?" Dante's brows knitted as well.
"Who exactly are you?" Dante's Father asked, looking intrigued.
"This is...all a fairytale, okay?" I sighed. "Everything is. Everybody knows Aladdin in my world because he's the main character in that Disney cartoon and book, and Al marries the princess Jasmine after they get rid of jafar and they live happily ever after. And as for princess Rapunzel, she'll get back to her family soon, she's just currently being manipulated by her new mom and can we please get back to the main point which is me being here when I should?"
Dante and his father exchanges looks and it was like they were speaking with their brows and eyes and I just stared.
"I'm not crazy." I said.
"No one said you were." Dante chuckled.
"You are both thinking it."
"What?" Dante nervously laughed. "N-"
"Yes." Dante's father nodded and his son gave him a 'what the fuck?' Stare or whatever they call it here.
"Okay, I'm out of here." I said and stood up, ready to leave.
"Wait!" Dante shouted.
"What? You both aren't helping anyways."
"Look, we need time okay? You are not safe because you're not from here, kid." Dante's father said with seriousness.
"You don't even have anywhere to go so where exactly are you going? You don't want to end up at the enchanted forest." Dante said and his father sighed while I gave him the middle finger.
"And if what you say is the truth then it's possible you see the future or you are from the future." Dante's father said and I nodded, giving him a look.
"Something like that." I muttered.
"I know someone I can ask about this and probably get answers on how you can go home." He said and I felt happy all of a sudden, walking back to him.
"That's great, let's go." I said, smiling in relief.
"You can't come. And not today anyways, I just returned and I'm quite hungry."
My smile vanished. "Seriously?" I said plainly.
"Look, you have to go back to your house or...Cinderelvis's house because you've been gone for quite some time, which means you're in trouble already and you'll probably have to do so much chores than Cinderelvis would ever do." Dante stated.
"No."
"Like I said, if you want to be out of here, you have to play the role you were given." Dante said. "I want my best friend back too and so you have to do what you're told or you might just end up here forever." He said in a dark tone. "And I'm sure you wouldn't want to stay here."
I gulped. "F-Fine. How do I get to his house?" I asked as I folded my arms.
"Dante, be a good son and please take him there."
Dante nodded. "Of course," he smiled. "I have so much I wanna know about the outside world."
"Yeah, sadly you're not in it." I murmured.
"Did you say something?"
"No." I fake smiled.
Dante's father frowned as he stared at me as if noticing something he hadn't before. "The scar, your eye, who did that?" He asked.
I touched it and quickly regretted that. "It's... Complicated."
Dante snorted. "You should have seen how this huge man punched Elvis, Papa, I felt it." Dante said with a laugh and his father joined him.
"Fuck you, Dante." I sneered.
"Relax, Mr. Hood." Dante said with a laugh.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Elvis." Dante's father said and I turned my gaze back to him. "Then we can talk more but for now, be careful."
I nodded. "Okay. And um, thank you, sir."
"Oh please," he smiled and stood up, he walked over to me and placed his hands on my shoulders. "Call me Mr. Bjorn." he said and I frowned at the name. "And remember, try not to get angered by Lady Tremaine and her delightful children. Cinderelvis never exploded. Never. And I'm emphasizing on that because I can tell you're a totally different version of my Cinderelvis."
"Sort of."
"Well, you have to change that attitude so you can go home." He advised.
I gulped and nodded. "Okay, Mr. Bjorn."
He patted my shoulders with a smile and looked at his son. "Take the horse, you're already late."
Dante nodded and held my hand, it was then it hit me.
"Wait, did h-he say horse?" I asked as Dante pulled me out of the house.
"Yes. Horse." Dante said as we walked to their stable. There were two horses, one brown and the other black. "This is Athena," he said and patted the black horse. "She's really fast and she's a fighter." He said and walked over to the other horse while I smiled at Athena. "We'll be taking Samil." He said and pulled him out. "Come on," he said and got on the horse like a pro.
I might have been from a rich family but I mean, I never got to learn how to ride a horse. We all know how occupied I have been.
"I....can't."
"What do you mean you can't?"
"I don't know how to."
He paused. "You are joking."
"I'm not."
Dante sighed. "Give me your hand and I'll pull you up, just step on the strap." He said and I did as he told me, worried I might fall but he pulled me up quickly and i sat behind him, holding him.
"I swear if I fall, I'll kill you."
Dante laughed. "You won't." He said before waving at his father, I did the same right before Dante shouted something and the horse began to move really fast, almost throwing me off.
I watched everyone from on top the horse, this was so weird. The way they dressed and talked, I was amazed. One thing I had realized was that they were more organized than this morning, the road wasn't filled with so many people, everyone was busy selling and buying, kids were running around and waving at me with a big smile and I just smiled back, forcefully.
"Everybody does love Cinderelvis, huh?"
He nodded. "Who wouldn't? He's like the light in this kingdom."
"Hmmph."
"What is it like?" Dante asked.
"Hmm?"
"Your world."
"Different. Modern."
"You don't have horses there?"
"Oh we do. I just never learned to ride one." I shrugged.
"Why?"
"I had TV."
"What's that?" He inquired.
"A television."
"Again, what's that?"
I sighed, rolling my eyes; of course I was in another dimension.
"It's like a big screen where we get to watch different things, like sports, cartoons," I said as i looked at everyone who should be a cartoon. "Music and stuff. You can watch things happening in places without having to go there."
"So, it's like a magical crystal but bigger?"
"You could say that," I muttered.
"That's so amazing. Did a witch give you one?" He asked with a smile.
"A witch? What? No. Everyone sorta has one, some are bigger and some are smaller."
"Wow. So that's how you know about the thief and princess Rapunzel?"
"Not at first but then Disney released the cartoons and-"
"Disney? What is that?" He asked, curiously before waving to an old woman. "Good afternoon, Mrs. Dennis."
"Dante. Cinderelvis. Hello, loves." She greeted, smiling from ear to ear and all I did was wave awkwardly.
"It's noon?"
"You slept for a while." He said and I frowned. "So, Disney?"
"You know what? Nevermind." There was no use explaining since he didn't know any of these things and possibly never would, I had to concentrate on leaving this place and to do that, I had to play Cinderella or....Cinderelvis.
"Tell me about your world." I muttered and he grinned as he directed the horse to the left.
"How about I tell you about Cinderelvis?"
"Good point."
He laughed softly. "Cinderelvis is nice, he never complains, he can be sarcastic."
"Cinderelvis?"
"Yeah, but Lady Tremaine punishes him whenever he becomes witty." Dante said. "You are probably going to get punished for running off."
"I panicked, I didn't have a choice." I groaned. "Can't believe I'm living this life."
"Cinderelvis doesn't refer to Lady Tremaine as stepmother or mother, she told him to call her-"
"Madam." I finished and Dante gave a nod, looking confused.
"Yes, that." He looked like he wanted to ask some questions but didn't.
"And his siblings?"
"Dri and Anastasia?" Dante chuckled. "Anastasia isn't the smartest one in this kingdom, they carry themselves like royalty but then Francis did have money, Cinderelvis never got to enjoy it."
I looked away. "I know what that's like, I think i can relate to how he felt."
"Trouble in your world?"
"Let's just say Cinderelvis and I are alike in more ways than one. I lost my mother, my father remarried and I have two step siblings too. The only difference between here and there is that my father's alive there but he's not no parent here."
"I guess you both are alike."
"I guess so." I muttered. "So, Dri and Anastasia?"
"Yes, they are the worst siblings you could ask for."
"Preach."
"Dri is in love with himself, Anastasia just doesn't know her right from her left."
I laughed.
"Dri despises you more than Anastasia does, Anastasia just hates you because her mother and brother does. She can't think for herself."
Like June.
"Don't get Dri angry, he'll do anything to make you pray for death. Cinderelvis tolerates so do the same even though i wish he'd fight back sometimes, father said to be like him."
"Got it."
"And Lady Tremaine will act like she's nice but in an evil way. I don't know if that makes any sense."
"Oh it does." I nodded. "Like a white knight. Manipulative."
"Exactly that." Dante nodded. "Beware those three."
"I hate this."
"We're here." Dante said and I turned at my right, looking at the house i had run out from.
"I need to leave this place fast, Dante. I don't think I can survive there."
"You don't have a choice, Elvis." He said and got down from the horse, I tried to do it the same way he did but my leg didn't find the strap and I fell with a Yelp, my ass kissed the ground hard and I grunted.
"Ow!"
Dante laughed. "Oh, you are so not Cinderelvis."
"Haha screw yourself." I said and got up with his help, dusting off my clothes.
"Well, it's time, Cinderelvis." He said and and I swallowed. We both walked to the door and he looked at me. "Are you ready?"
"I don't know."
"Your answer should be yes."
I swallowed, then nodded. "Yes."
"That's enough." He said with a shrug and knocked continuously.
"Um, are you supposed to do that?" I asked and he smirked.
"No, but I'd do anything to make them angry." He said and the door opened, revealing my step brother who decided to haunt me here too.
"Oh great, it's you," he said in a bored tone once he saw Dante.
"Don't try to be too excited." Dante replied and Dri turned his gaze to me and smirked evilly.
He was up to no good like always.
"Oh, you finally decided to come back home." He said and walked back in, Dante and I exchanged looks before walking in. "MOM!!!! CINDERELVIS IS BACK!!!" Dri announced, loudly-- more like screamed and i grimaced.
Dri disappeared and I rolled my eyes. "I hate this family already."
"Endure till we can get you out." Dante said and walked ahead, I followed him to the living room where that bitch who looked so much like Clarissa was, sitting on a couch and stroking Lucifer's fur.
I hated that cat so much.
"Well, look who finally decided to return." She said in the calmest tone, a smile on her face, she didn't even look up until Dante spoke.
"Hello, Lady Tremaine."
"Dante," she fake smiled at him. "It's such a delight to see you here."
Dante fake smiled as well and joined his hands together. "I brought Cinderelvis back home, he had a little concussion this morning and did not remember anything or anyone, it was frightening finding him looking like he was lost." Dante said in the most sincere tone and i didn't say a word, we didn't even make a plan on what to say but I guess he had it all figured out.
Dri was sitting next to his mother while Anastasia was standing next to him. She was holding up that big dress she was wearing while she listened and tried to look mean.
"I found him laying on the streets and so I took him to my house until he woke up," Dante continued. "I hope you don't mind? My father wouldn't let him go yet until he was okay."
"I don't think that explains the eye." Dri said and i swear I wanted to punch him. "What happened?" He asked, looking at me.
"He-"
"He did not ask you, did he?" Lady Tremaine said, cutting Dante off before looking at me.
"Uh, I'm sorry. Two huge men were in a fight earlier and I barely noticed because i couldn't remember anything and I just happened to run into their midst and I got hit and it went black." I said and her brow rose.
"Why do you sound like that?"
"Something new, madam." I answered.
"Well there is a lot of things for you to do Cinderelvis." Anastasia said, smiling.
"Oh no, darling. We need to let Cinderelvis have a little rest, didn't you hear? He had a little concussion." Lady Tremaine said and her children frowned.
"What?!" They both shouted.
"Mother! Who's going to wash the plates?" Dri asked.
"And the house is still dusty! My dress has a little dust on it." Anastasia said and I wanted to smack them both.
Okay, you're kidding, right?
"I cleaned this place yesterday, Anastasia, I doubt there's dust in this house." I couldn't control myself.
Anastasia gasped. "What are you saying? That I'm a liar?"
"He didn't say anything," Dante chimed in. "Why don't you show us the dust, Anastasia?"
"It's ANNA!!" She yelled.
"So, no dust?" Dante asked, folding his arms. "Show me." He demanded but she just folded her arms.
"It's not your business, Dante." She replied and he smirked.
"Children, please. I have a little headache, stop bickering." Lady Tremaine said calmly before smiling at us. "Thank you for bringing him home, Dante."
Dante just smiled. "He's my best friend after all."
"Well, you can go home now." She said, smiling still. "I'll make sure Cinderelvis gets the rest he needs."
Dante didn't look convinced but smiled nevertheless. "Okay," he nodded. "Goodbye, Tremaines." He said and forced a smile, he turned to me and I did the same, he pulled me into a hug and whispered into my ear before pulling away with a smile.
I nodded in understanding. "Thank you, Dante."
"I'll see you tomorrow." He said.
"Say hello to your father for me." Lady Tremaines said and Dante looked at her, fake smiling.
"I'm sure that will make his day." He said before patting my shoulder and leaving, shutting the door bebind him.
I wish he didn't have to leave me here.
"Well, I guess I should um-" I pointed at the stairs.
"What? Go to bed?" Lady Tremaine asked and laughed in a rich way, an evil way actually, an evil- rich way, but it was short. "The house is dusty."
I frowned. "There's no dust."
Her brow rose up. "Dri." She called and he stood up with a smirk.
He walked past me and I turned to know where he was going, he got to the door and bent down, he swiped his finger on the floor and turned back to us with an irritating smile, showing us his finger as he walked back to us.
"Dirty." He said before wiping his finger on my shirt, i wanted to push his hand off but i couldn't mess this up and let them think I wasn't Cinderelvis.
"That's not fair, Dante and I just came in through that door, of course our shoes were dirty "
Lady Tremaine stood up with Lucifer in her hands and walked slowly towards me, she then smiled. "Be a darling and clean the entire house." She emphasized on that word. "You should know more than anything that I hate a disobedient child, right Cinderelvis? For talking back to me and trying to act smart, you have to clean the entire house. You miss a spot, you start from the top." She said in a warning tone but never stopped smiling. "And be a good brother and make some food for Dri and Anastasia here, they're starving." She said before walking away like the queen of England and I was becoming furious, I would have slapped this bitch back at home but I wasn't home.
Dri had a smug on his face, Anastasia too.
"We're really hungry." Dri said before walking past me and following him mom upstairs.
"Hmmph." Anastasia gave me the dirtiest look and followed Dri up the stairs.
"You have got to be fucking kidding me!" I said through gritted teeth once they were gone.
There was nothing I could do anyways, and with a sigh, I became Cinderelvis.
♚ ♚ ♚
I had served the twins their food and Lady Tremaine her tea and even had to make food for that evil cat who keeps snarling at me, I swear I'd snap it's head if i get the chance.
I was exhausted, my neck hurt badly, my hands were tired as well, I was hungry, I was weak. This house was so fucking huge and i had to clean every spot, Cinderella really did this? I'm in her place for a day and I want to die!
Anastasia was sent to supervise me and make sure I didn't miss a spot and she did, following me and making sure I swept and mopped everywhere. I cleaned the messed up kitchen, it was too messed up, I was sure this was the twins doing because Cinderella wouldn't go to bed while the house was a mess.
When I was done, I went to the kitchen to have my meal but I was ordered to make dinner cause it was late before i could finish cleaning the entire house, the rooms, it really wasn't easy. Giselle never did the work alone, people fucking helped her. Poor Cinderella.
I had to even run an errand for Lady Tremaine, I didn't know anywhere but i had to keep asking strangers who in this world, knew me.
When i returned, I went back to the kitchen to get some food but the pot was fucking empty, the twins had eaten everything, they left nothing for me even after i served them? I left a portion for myself but the pot was fucking empty and i wasn't allowed to cook at that time because it was late.
It was dark now and I wanted to cry.
I laid on my bed tiredly, sighing loudly as my stomach growled.
"Unbe-fucking-liveable." I muttered and shut my eyes.
I wonder if I'm dead.
What if I was dead? God, I thought if I died, I'd be in heaven or hell or I don't know, not here. I wanted to escape it all and I ended up with a world without my father or my best friend.
Alex.
I felt the tears, I cuddled myself as I relived our memories.
"Bitch, I'm here for you. Anytime. Whoever comes for you is also coming for me," Alex said, smiling like a champion. "Remember our path?"
I nodded, how could I forget it?. "Between you and the universe, it's always gonna be you." We said at the same time, smiling afterwards.
"I love you." I beamed.
"Me too," she said and then her smile vanished. " And don't call me princess again or you'll have a bleeding nose." She threatened while we walked.
"Sorry," I cleared my throat.
I laughed at the memory, that was when she had given Davian a bleeding nose when he tried to attack me.
The memories filled my head, coffee, the time we prepared her for her date with Finn, when we danced like kids in her room about a year ago when I was in a sad mood but she just ended up making me dance like a drunk teenager while we jumped on her bed, but she left me to fix her bed when we were done.
Fun memories.
I laughed.
Dad.
"Yo, Elvis! Toss the ball!" Dad said as he waited few feet away from me, we were outside his house and he was gonna teach me baseball.
"I dont think I can throw that far."
"You can! Come on, just believe in yourself, kiddo." He said with a smile and i grinned.
"I'm small!" I laughed.
"You're six and you're smarter than your Uncle Mike."
I laughed. "Okay! Here goes!" I shouted, I pulled my hand back and threw it so far towards him with enough energy, and it did reach where he was, just not into his opened hands but below, it hit him in his pee pee. He shouted in pain and i flinched. "Sowie." I said and covered my mouth to stop myself from laughing but failed.
"You're laughing at your old man." He grunted, holding his pee-pee while kneeling on the floor.
"It's funny." I laughed out.
"Oh, you're in trouble." He said and got up, I screamed and began to run, giggling and trying to dodge him while he came after me.
"Dad! No!" I giggled.
"Come here, you little devil." He chuckled.
I laughed at the memory but ended up crying as i held my sheets. I hated it here. I just got tired and wanted to be free, I didn't want to stay there or here either.
God, I miss them.
"Cinderelly."
I stopped crying instantly and knitted my brows in fear. Did I...Did i hear what i think I just heard? I waited, I didn't move, I laid still, gripping the sheets, maybe I would hear it again? But I didn't, I was greeted with silence, I could have sworn I heard someone say cin-
"Cinderelly."
I gasped and quickly sat up, moving backwards until my back touched the wall. I looked around but no one was in my fucking room, my neck did several turns.
Okay! No! Do not tell me I'm in a horror version of the Cinderella story because I'm.. I'm out. I didn't sign up for this!
Please tell me this is in my head!
"Cinderelly! Cinderelly!!"
The voice was closer, I swear my spirit ran before i did. I quickly jumped out of my bed as fast as I could, my heart racing. I looked around and grabbed the broom resting on the wall, holding it up and tight as I scanned the room with boldness.
*Mental eye roll*
"S-Show yourself! I serve the Lord Jesus Christ!!" I said to whatever was in my room and then I heard giggling close to me. I froze and slowly turned to my left and to the table next to me, there was a fucking rat on the table wearing a yellow shirt and staring at me.
A rat wearing a....a cloth? Wait, I'm hallucinating, right?
I leaned closer to get a closer look, to make sure I was seeing what I thought I was seeing and then the rat did something scary, the rat FUCKING SMILED.
"Hello, Cinderelly."
My eyes widen and I wanted to scream but I didn't, I did something better actually, something much more mature.
I fainted.
