Chapter 39
After the extremely quick jet ride, we made it.
Well, in my opinion it was extremely fast.
So was my heart, but anyways, right now I'm at the door, staring at it.
My hand is head in a fist to knock but the door already opened.
I saw Isabella's dad almost bump into me because he was in a hurry. I put my fist down. That would be awkward.
"Oh, Prince Jackson, we weren't expecting you." he said, the frustration out of his look turned into shock.
"Is everything okay? Is this a bad time?" I asked.
"Uhm, well, n-no of course it's not a bad time. What are you doing here today?" he said, obviously nervous.
"I just wanted to, uhm, talk to Isabella." I said, swallowing.
"Oh-uh, sh-she's not here." he said, his eyes not making contact.
"Where is she?" I arched my eyebrow.
"W-we don't know." he finally said, sighing.
"What?!" I said with shock.
"We can't find her. She's missing. Do you think she ran away?" he asked, nervously.
"I-I don't think she's the type to do that." I said.
"Well, we'll tell you if we find her. I have to go to the police right now to tell them." he said.
"May I stay here, are the twins or Mrs. Stephan here?" I asked quickly.
"Yes, they are in the living room." he confirmed, opening the door to let me through and closing it after he left.
I walked in the living room to see Mrs. Stephan sitting on the coach, Vanessa pacing, and Violet oddly biting her fingers and crossing her arms in front of her. Worried was the expression on her face.
I cleared my throat.
"Hello." I said, giving a fake smile.
"Oh my god, Jackson! We are so happy to see you! Have you seen Isabella?!" Mrs. Stephan exclaimed, running up to me.
I stepped back quickly.
"No, I was just gonna ask you the same thing." I said slowly.
"Why didn't she come to the ball?" I asked all of them.
"Well, she said she didn't want to come." Vanessa said, shrugging.
"Can I speak to Violet alone?" I asked carefully.
"Why?" Vanessa spat.
"I just need to ask you something." I said, staring at Violet who tensed.
"O-okay." she stuttered and we went in the kitchen.
As soon as the door closed I whispered. I mean whisper and shouted.
"Where the fuck is she?" I said, getting angry by the second.
"I-I don't know."
"Don't you fucking lie to me." I challenged.
"I-uh." she said, stuttering nervously again.
"Violet, I'm gonna ask you again. Where the fuck is sh-" I stopped. I heard something.
I stood their clenching my jaw and listened quietly.
"Wh-what is i-"
"SHH!"
It was a low humming, or singing, and it sounded like it was coming from upstairs.
Not speaking I left the kitchen and into the living room.
I let my hearing guide me and I went up stairs.
"Umm, Jackson where are you going??" Mrs. Stephan asked, alarmed.
I ignored her and kept going up.
Second Floor.
Third Floor.
Fourth Floor.
Fifth Floor. The last one.
I didn't know they had one.
"Jackson???" I heard Vanessa call out.
"Shh." I whispered, even though she couldn't hear me.
I heard footsteps coming up fast. I walked through the hall way and saw a door at looked really old, made of wood, and looked filthy.
The plate on the door said "Att_c"
You couldn't really see it because it looked worn out, but using common sense I knew it was the Attic.
I leaned my head at the door and listened carefully.
"JACKSON?!" Mrs. Stephan yelled as she got up to the level I was on.
"Shh." I said, pointing a finger at her but closed my eyes.
"I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid I have loved you, for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more." I heard a soft singing from behind the door.
"Jackson don't go in the-" she began but I tried unlocking the door and pushed it but it was stuck.
I heard a gasp inside.
I pushed the door harder but it wouldn't budge.
"JACKSON!" Mr. Canders shouted too.
I heard everyone tell me to stop, but I couldn't because there was that one voice that told me to keep going.
I remembered my mom, my dad, Thomas, my Aunt and Uncle, but the one person I kept remembering was Cinderella. Her name running through my head, over and over.
Then, my last thought was of the thing that got me into this mess of a life. The party I threw in the beginning, and that's where everything changed.
But what I really remember is the door I broke down and thought, hey you only live once, so make mistakes thrice......right?
And that's what I did. I broke the door down....again. For the third time...

Noticed, I leave everything in a cliffhanger. Is that good or bad? Lol
