Chapter 34
April 8th (Monday)
Yesterday was.....um...how do I explain it....it was....interesting....
You might be wondering what interesting means?
So, basically what happened is. The ball started and I met someone. Now I know what you're thinking (changes voice to a higher pitch)
Oh Jackson! How could you, what about Isabella? (clears throat)
Well, that's just it...Isabella was no where to be found. I thought I saw her but it was Skylar, so I think that Isabelle told her friend, Skylar, to go to the ball instead of her so she wouldn't see me.
I mean it's obvious right?
She probably hates me, but changing subject, as I said before I met this girl, Elizabeth.
She was beautiful. Her dress was amazing, her eyes, her lips, her hair, if only I could've seen her full face.
I don't know why, but she reminds me of Isabella. I shouldn't be thinking about Cinderella now, she doesn't like me.
...Maybe I should write to her. To see how she's doing...
NO! I can't, I shouldn't.
But all of this set aside and I still have one little thing that's been bugging me lately.
Who was that girl? All I know is that she's got a size six and a half shoes.
And how do I know this?
She dropped her glass slipper on the stairs. This really feels like a Cinderella story, doesn't it?

I sat in the castle library staring at the glass slipper I placed on the table.
It was shining in the sunlight, creating rainbows on the wooden desk.
I sighed as I rubbed my aching forehead.
My life was not going well right now. Everything was not set, it was like a puzzle with pieces that could not fit. I knew I was missing one and I wondered if I could ever find it.
"Sir? Are you busy?" I heard a voice asked. Thomas was standing over me and looked at the shoe.
"Is this about Cinderella?" he asked. Of course he already knew the answer to that.
"I must find out who this girl is!" I said, standing up and walking towards the balcony a few feet away. I looked over my soon to be kingdom.
I knew this was not as important as learning my duties as king, but if I didn't figure this out, it would bother me until the day I died.
Or maybe it's because I may or may not have a crush on this girl....maybe.
"Thomas?" I asked the butler.
"Yes sir?" he replied.
"Do you have a list of all the girls that came to this ball?" I asked, hoping that the answer he gave me was the one I wanted.
"Yes, Jackson." he said, smirking as he knew what I was gonna say.
"Can we gather them all here for the next week and figure who this girl is?" I begged.
"Whatever you wish, your majesty." he said, bowing slightly.
"Perfect." I said smiling. If I figure this out, maybe my life will finally piece itself together.
Maybe...
