The feedback I got from the first chapter had my head swelling the size of the sun. I'm so glad you like it. Here's another chapter just because you guys me happy. Enjoy!

ENTER PRINCE CHARMING

So we've established that our story is not completely Disney but still has some of those cliché elements, like the damsel in distress and the step sibling. Good, now on with the story.

Today was the supposed day of prince Charming's arrival and to put it in small words, Sakura and Ino were frolicsome. Oh. I said small words! Hehe. Frolicsome means to be merry and happy.

The blond latter had arrived at the Hyuga, now Haruno mansion as early as the first light of day to 'prepare' for the Uchiha Sasuke's arrival. Hinata, of course, was there at their every beck and call.

"Hinata do you think I should wear this pink dress or this green tank top over a pair of jeans?" Sakura asked her half sister, raising the clothes indicated as she mentioned them.

"I think green would suit you better, it brings out your eyes." Hinata had spoken honestly but then Sakura shrieked.

"If I wear a tank top then I won't be able to hide my forehead with fringes! Fringes and tank tops don't mix!" Sakura huffed and threw both of the clothes she had picked earlier aside. Hinata thought that she would look really good in that tank top if she packed her hair up in a bun but Sakura was planning to let her long hair down today. Oh well.

"Don't ask her for fashion advice, she knows nothing! Have you seen the clothes she wears?" Ino remarked from Sakura's walk in closet where she was picking out something for herself. She and Sakura were the same size even if she was a bit more busty, so they often wore each other's clothes.

Hinata looked down at her worn out jeans and loose purple top. She personally didn't think anything was wrong with it. Ino was just being a drama queen as usual. "I think I'm okay though." She voiced and Ino scoffed.

"You," the blond jabbed two pairs of heels into Hinata's chest. The other struggled to hold them in her hands. "Are going to polish these shoes for us while we get ready. And also, make sure these outfits are ready too." She pointed a manicured finger at some clothes she had selected and promptly turned around to grab Sakura.

The both of them left Hinata alone with their outfits and the mess they created while searching for the 'perfect' clothes. A sigh left the ravenette's lips. Work, just before school started. Wonderful.

Hinata had to clean after both girls when they used the bathroom which got her clothes wet and she also had to clean up after breakfast which made her late as hell for school. It didn't help that she cycled all the way to the big institution. By the time she arrived, she was a sweaty mess.

"Are you sure you don't want to take up my offer of picking you up every morning?" Neji's cool voice sounding beside her made her jump a bit. He was a prefect so it made sense that he was out monitoring students and dress codes but it was also the very reason Hinata turned down his offer. He could not afford to be late as a prefect.

"I'm fine, really. Just out of breath. And besides you are in your final year, you don't want me holding you back." Hinata dismissed his worried look with a wave.

Neji sighed exasperatedly. "Are you hungry? I made bentos for everyone for lunch but you can have yours now. I'd make an excuse for you." By everyone, Neji meant himself, herself, Tenten and her younger sister, Hanabi. Neji really was the best but she shouldn't take his position to her advantage so she shook her head.

"I had something to eat. See you at lunch, nii-san." She waved him goodbye and ran to her class. She got there just after the final warning bell rang much to her luck.

As usual she was the last to arrive but it didn't matter as long as the teacher hadn't arrived yet. Kakashi-sensei always arrived late so even a perpetual latecomer like Hinata could be early for his class.

The girls in her class were crowded around a seat as she could see. There were high giggles and squeals coming from them, in which Sakura and Ino's were the loudest.

Hinata was confused about their clatter and the jealous looks on the guys' faces in her class until she caught a glimpse of dark hair and it clicked. Uchiha Sasuke was here. From the sounds of it, the boy didn't give them as much as an acknowledging look but the desperate females still flocked.

"He's even hotter in person!"

"His eyes are so dark!"

"Wow, I wish I can feel his hair!"

"He's so handsome and quiet!"

"He's just like a prince!"

They kept on singing his praises but the guy ignored them like they weren't even there in the first place. One would think they would get a hint and move on.

"Alright, alright, settle down everybody." Kakashi sensei announced his arrival and they all reluctantly flocked back to their seats. Hinata, who was still standing by the time Kakashi arrived made for her seat only to pause abruptly. Sakura was on her seat which was next to Sasuke's own seat.

Her brow raised at Sakura's pleading look and she shrugged, giving in. She went to Sakura's seat instead.

By the time lunch break rolled in, Sasuke stood up from his seat and automatically all the girls followed after him. Hinata could still only catch a glimpse of his dark hair so she didn't even know why they were so all over the place for him.

"Sasuke-kun hold up! Let's go to the cafeteria together!" Sakura called in a high pitched voice that was so unlike her as she struggled to run after Sasuke, who as Hinata noticed, had hastened his steps. Yeah you would be running a lot in this story, Sascake.

Hinata waited for the crowd of girls to pass before she left for lunch. She went to Neji's clubroom where her cousin and his girlfriend were waiting for her. Hanabi was a junior so she couldn't join them for lunch as their blocks were separated.

She walked in on Tenten trying to feed Neji a bite out of the sandwich she made for herself. To be fair, Tenten's cooking skills were not that good so she could guess why her cousin vehemently refused to eat the 'monstrosity' that was Tenten's sandwich.

"Don't eat that!" He exclaimed when Tenten gave up with a huff and wanted to eat her stuff by herself. "I get sick just looking at it, you can't eat it! What if you develop food poisoning?!" He snatched the bread away and made to trash it.

"But that's wasting food!" Tenten complained.

"You should have thought twice before you used the chicken that had been in your fridge for a month!" Neji yapped back at her, pointing at the green thing Hinata had thought was lettuce. It was chicken?!

Tenten pouted and shrunk back at that. Her sense of smell was off so she most likely didn't smell that the meat was bad already and she couldn't tell when meat was bad by texture or taste. It was a good thing she had Neji on her side, Hinata mused.

"Hello Hinata. Neji's being a jerk as usual." Tenten greeted when she finally noticed the ravenette's presence. Hinata giggled at Neji's adamant squawk and the banter that followed. They were like an old couple.

Neji's bento was delicious. Hinata ate it with a happy smile as she laughed and talked with Neji and Tenten.

"Oh before I forget. Guess what I found at home, Hinata." Neji dropped his bento in favour of rummaging through his sleek leather bag pack for something.

Hinata looked on curiously. "What's this?" She asked when Neji withdrew a burgundy thick book and handed it over to her. Hinata dropped her bento and opened the book. Hikari Hyuga's recipe book, it read and Hinata gasped. "My mum's recipe book?! How did you get this?!"

"Apparently my mother borrowed it." Neji answered with a smile. His mother had also passed so it was just him and his father, and Hanabi too. "I was rummaging through the attic when I found it."

"I can't believe it is still in good condition. Thank you so much for this, Neji!" Hinata was so happy about this gift from Neji. All of her memories of cooking with her mother was inside this book. She was going to cherish it a lot.

"I heard your mum's cinnamon puffs were the best from Neji. Now that you have the recipe, can I finally get to taste them?" Tenten asked and Hinata nodded.

"Of course! I'd bake lots for us to share!"

And Hinata was going to. She would make all of the recipes her mother wrote down in this journal and even add her own.
