~~2~~
Akshitha finished her morning chores and went straight to the kitchen. She started to prepare the breakfast. Then she glanced at the time to see it was 7:30 in the morning. Soon she prepared a coffee and climbed upstairs, she knocked on the door of the room. Then there came a stern voice from inside asking her to come in. It was none other than her step- mom, Shanti.
Shanti: (stern and bossy) Come in.
Akshitha was scared, slowly she entered the room holding the tray in her hands. There she saw HER, the step-mom sitting on the bed resting her head on the headboard. Shanthi was still wrapped in her blanket and was closing her eyes.
Akshitha: (stuttering) Mo...mom?
Shanti: (annoyed) Oh you! What is that you came early in the morning to my room? Don't you know that I don't want to see your face early in the morning, first. How many times should I tell you that?
Akshitha's eyes was moistened but she blinked away the tears that was ready to come out. She tried not to care about all this but she couldn't.
Akshitha: (slowly and softly) So.... sorry mom. I.... I brought the morning coffee for you.
Shanthi: okay, keep it on the bed side table and go.
Akshitha moved forward with slow steps, kept the coffee cup on the table. She saw that shanti was still closing her eyes and didn't open it even for a second.
When Akshitha was about to leave she stopped hearing Shanthi.
Shanthi: Did my girl's wake up?
Akshitha: No... I am going to.... wake them up.
Shanthi: Soon go and do that but especially don't show your face early in the morning. Let them have a good day at least like that.
Akshitha walked out of the room and entered the kitchen again. She then prepared one Green Tea and a Coffee, kept both on a tray and once again climbed up the stairs. But this time it was for two other different rooms, which was a bit far away from Shanthi's one. Akshitha walked up to the Girl's room. Tanu and Tanya had two separate rooms for themselves. Their rooms are the hugest and spacious room in that whole house.
Tanu and Tanya are the daughters of Shanti. Shanthi was a widow and a mother of two kids when she was about to marry Shekar. Akshitha always treated Tanu and Tanya as her own blood sisters but those to never ever showed Akshitha love and care. Tanu was as same age as Akshitha's and Tanya was one year elder to both of them.
She was confused as to which room should she enter first. Because usually both of them do not wake up unless someone did wake them up. Poor Akshitha has to do that daily and get scolded because when she goes and wake Tanu up, then Tanu would shout at her for waking her up first before Tanya. Akshitha then goes to Tanya and the same thing happens vice versa.
Today Akshitha got a new idea which she will implement hereafter.
Akshitha POV
Oh my!!! Waking up these two is the toughest job in my life. But today I have some new idea and I guess that it will surely work on them.
I slowly entered Tanu's room to see her fast asleep as usual. She was sleeping spreading her hands and legs wide. I just could only think how a girl can sleep like this.
I kept the tray aside on the table and went near to the bed.
Akshitha: (slowly) Tanu...tanu wake up. You have to get ready to go to your college. You will get late.
I was kept on calling her but there was no response at all. This time I shook her and called her name a bit louder.
Akshitha: (louder but still softly) Tanu.... tanu....
Finally, she responded by making some sound.
Tanu: Hmmm.......
Akshitha: Get up Tanu.
Tanu: (angrily barking at Akshitha) What do you want? Let me sleep and get out of my room.
I was used to this so I never minded but right now, I have to wake her up somehow.
Akshitha: Tanu, you have to go to college. And your mom told you to wake up and get ready soon.
Tanu: (Irritatingly) Why can't you go and wake up Tanya, first?
Okay, here came her usual talking. I knew that she would say this so I am going to use my idea here.
Akshitha: Ahh.... I already woke Tanya up. She is getting ready. Now it's your turn.
Tanu: GRR.... Okay fine. You get out of my room now. I will be ready soon.
Akshitha: I kept your green tea here, on the table. Have it.
Finally woke this one up and I will do the same to this Tanya too.
End of Akshitha POV.
