-Cinder's POV-

I walked along a dark corridor with the flame in my hand for lighting. Eventually I came out into what looked like a giant ball room. It was dim and grey and there was a slight breeze coming from a massive broken window. I walked to the middle and looked around. Outside it looked as if dark grey clouds had rolled in overhead.

A chill ran down my spine. This place didn't just look abandoned, it looked evacuated. I shook my head and continued on down a different dark hallway.

Eventually I came to a cluster of rooms. I went in the first one, looked around, and deemed it empty. The same occurred for the next three.

As I walked into the fourth I did a double take.

I saw a lit candle on a shiny new metal candle holder. Not only that, but an apple, with a fresh bite taken out of it.

My heart stopped, this place wasn't as abandoned as I first thought.
