~Park Baekhyun~
"What are we doing here?" tanong sakin ni Yifan nang marating namin tong sementeryo. I looked him over and raised both of my eyebrows.
"I just have to give her these," I said, gesturing to the bouquet I am holding. "We do this every first Friday of the month." I looked him over and he eyed the place with curiousness. I walked over to Hyun-ae's grave and sat on the grass. "Baby..." I whispered as I brushed the dried leaves away from her name. "Papa's here. I miss you so much."
Naramdaman ko ang pag-upo ni Yifan sa tabi ko. "So... this is your daughter's grave?" he asked and I nodded without looking at him. His voice is sad and sympathetic. This is the first time I came here with a friend. Most of the time, I'm with Chanyeol and the kids.
"Chanyeol's cousin, Michaela, shot me one night. I am still carrying Hyun inside me and we're both in a very critical condition." I muttered and frowned, suddenly remembering that fearful night. When I thought Chan Hyun would get killed. Or worse, all of us inside the house. "Chanyeol has to choose between me or our daughter."
Yifan went silent. But still, I can hear his quiet breathing beside me. I blinked and suddenly, I can feel the build up of tears.
It's never easy to let go of your own child. We love Hyun-ae even before we knew her, even before we see her. That's the beauty of being a parent... being able to love someone without even having the chance to have a glimpse of that somebody.
"I'm sorry to hear that." Yifan said quietly beside me.
I nodded and a teardrop fell from my eyes. "It's painful." I whispered and I looked at him. He is watching me with a very sad expression. "It's all too painful... and until now, hindi ko alam kung mawawala yung sakit." I sniffed and wiped my face with the back of my hand.
Yifan raised his hand and patted my shoulder. He then slowly caressed my back. "Why did she do it?" he quietly asked. "What made her do it?"
I sniffed. "Michaela likes Chanyeol ever since we're younger." I muttered and shook my head. "Even before I loved my husband, Michaela is already there for him. But Chanyeol didn't feel the same. And so, she took a revenge on us... on me." I forced a smile as I felt the tears again.
"And you stayed?" Yifan asked, incredulously. "You stayed for him?"
I frowned and finally looked at him. "Why wouldn't I?" nagtatakang tanong ko. "Chanyeol gave me no reason to leave him."
"He chose you over your daughter." he said firmly and there's a hint of anger in his voice. "He didn't find any way to save you both. Now Hyun-ae's gone, you're still in pain. He chose to kill your daughter, Baek. Chanyeol—"
I shook my head fast and stood up. "Chanyeol didn't have a choice, Yifan." I said through gritted teeth. Napatayo na din siya saka tumingin sakin habang may inis at malungkot na mukha. Hindi ko alam kung ano doon yung totoo niyang nararamdaman pero yun ang nakikita ko.
"How could you know that he didn't have a choice?" he asked as he looked at me intently. "You weren't there!"
"And Chanyeol would never lie to me!" I hissed and then suddenly, I felt anger towards him. "He loves us both and I know that! I know how my husband loves me and his children. Ano bang problema mo sakanya? Why are you saying all these?" I asked and felt the frustration. Nagtataka kasi talaga ako kung bat ganito yung mga sinasabi niya.
Yifan studied my face. Sobrang lungkot ng mukha niya at hindi ko alam kung bakit pero... biglang nawala yung inis ko sakanya at napalitan ng awa. He looks so sad and I don't know why.
I felt my eyes soften. "Why?" I asked quietly. "Why did you say all those?"
"I don't know." he whispered. "But the moment I saw you cry, Baekhyun... I know you don't deserve that."
I inhaled sharply, not knowing what to say. "Yifan..."
"I know this is ridiculous, Baek." he said and his eyes suddenly turned even sadder. "You're married and everything. You have kids and a husband you love so much. But... I can't help this feeling."
I shook my head slowly. "A-are you saying...?"
"I like you, Baekhyun." he finally admitted and I gasped. "I like you so much."

I looked over the reports and gave out a troubled breath. "Too much." I muttered and looked at Mr. Lee who is watching me with fearful eyes. "How come you didn't notice all these?"
"I am watching them, believe me, President." Mr. Lee said as he took a step towards my table. "H-hindi ko alam kung paano nawala ang ganyan kalaking pera." he shook his head and looked down, obviously ashamed of what happened.
I sighed and leaned back on my seat. "We need to tell the board about this." then I looked at him sternly. "But as the auditor, you need to answer their questions." I glanced at Mae, my secretary, who is watching us with worry.
Mr. Lee nodded.
"Mae," I called and she looked at me expectantly. "You need to call all the members of the board for an emergency meeting. They have the right to know what's up with the company." I massaged my temple, imagining their annoyance or even anger.
"Yes, President." she said and started to walk to the door. But as she took hold of the handle, she stopped and glanced at me. She looked down and back at me again, as if unsure what to say. "Mr. President..." she finally said. "Do I have to call Sir Baekhyun?"
With that question, I shifted on my seat. Does Baekhyun has to know this?
I sighed and slowly shook my head. "I... I'll talk to him." I finally said and Mae nodded, finally walking out the door. I looked at our family picture on my desk and frowned.
This is the biggest problem our company has ever experienced yet. And I don't know how we'll surpass this.
"When will Mr. Kim Young Min return from the states?" I asked Mr. Lee. He looks uneasy standing in front of me.
He frowned and slowly looked back at me again. "I honestly don't know, Mr. President." he admitted. "He hasn't called since... I don't know. A long time? He said he'll go on a vacation."
I puffed air from my cheeks. "He needs to be here for the meeting." I said. "I'll make Mae call him until he answers." I sighed and finally closed my eyes, leaning back on my seat and relaxing my body.
Just this and it's making me stressed already. We need to trace the culprit. Although I already have feelings on who the traitor is, we still need solid evidence. I looked at the bunch of reports I have to read and slowly shook my head.
This crisis will eat my time. Totally take more than a half of it.
