john 12:37

'Even after Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him.'

Taehyung felt like an imposter as he sat in the circle, listening to the people around him debate the meaning of a line in the bible. Taehyung hadn't been paying much attention, focusing mainly on his shoes or the wacky hairdo of the boy opposite him. Jungkook was sat beside him, excitedly injecting the conversation with his own ideas.

Where do they come up with this shit? Taehyung thought to himself as one girl compared Jesus to Beyonce.

He was constantly checking on the clock, mentally begging it to speed up and end his misery.

"What do you think about the bible reading we've discussed today Taehyung? You've been awfully quiet," one of the camp leaders - it was either Jin or Hoseok - asked him and Taehyung's body went into panic mode.

He hadn't been paying any attention for the past hour and had no clue what was happening. Struggling to think properly, he looked to Jungkook for assistance but the boy's eyes were focused elsewhere.

"I think it's all very inspiring," Taehyung replied, hoping this was enough for the camp leader to move on.

"You think the story of Judas betraying his friend for money is inspiring?"

Fuck, Taehyung to himself.

"I think it's inspiring that Jesus was able to forgive him, it shows great... um... goodness on his part. Big respect," Taehyung managed to stutter out, trying to think about all the things he had heard his mother say before.

Thankfully another member began stating her opinion, and Taehyung sunk back into his chair. He didn't know what would happen if anyone around him realised that he was a fraud just like Judas.

"I just love the first day of camp!" Jungkook said while yawning, "I'm so excited to see what this month holds."

The prayer circle had finally finished, and after watching 'The Passion of Christ', the camp members were finally able to go to bed. Taehyung flopped down on his bed, his eyelids already heavy.

"I mean, who knows, maybe we'll go on some crazy adventures," Jungkook continued as he pulled his top off his head which peaked Taehyung's interest slightly.

To his surprise, the religious boy had an impressive set of toned abs on him, and his skin was so perfect Taehyung couldn't help wondering what love bites would look like on him. Taehyung's eyes opened even further when Jungkook pulled off his jeans to reveal his small pair of tight black underwear which showcased the perfect curvature of his ass.

I'm literally being thirst trapped in church camp, Taehyung thought to himself, rubbing his eyes and trying not to focus on Jungkook's body.

"Are you not going to get changed for bed Taehyungie?" Jungkook asked, buttoning up his plaid pyjamas.

Much better, Taehyung thought to himself as he looked at Jungkook, No more weird thoughts when he's dressed like a toddler.

Taehyung pulled off his hoodie aggressively, tugging down his sweats afterwards. He noticed Jungkook staring at him, but suppressed the cocky smile which was bubbling up. He knew he looked good, he hadn't spent all that time in the gym for no one to admire him.

Taehyung's head hit the pillow and he was so close to falling asleep when a small finger tapped him.

"You haven't said your night prayers Taehyungie," Jungkook whispered, his eyes looking at him deadly serious.

Taehyung grumbled to himself and rolled his eyes before getting down on his knees and pressing his hands together.

"Dear God, I want to thank you for this wonderful day..." he tuned out the drone of Jungkook and muttered some half assed attempt at a prayer.

He was ready to fall asleep on his knees but his attention was caught by the end of Jungkook's prayer, "I am so thankful for my new roommate Taehyung, and I hope you have some scheme in your grand plan to make us best friends."

Okay, Jungkook was a bit of a dork, but Taehyung couldn't help feeling a slight warm feeling in his heart at the sweet words of the boy.

"Wakey, wakey kids! Jesus did not die for you to lay on your lazy behinds all day!" Hoseok yelled through the door of Room 215, and Taehyung rubbed his eyes sleepily.

"Argh!" He yelled out when he saw that Jungkook was already awake, fully dressed, and staring straight at him, "Don't do that Jungkook, it's creepy."

Jungkook just giggled and pulled at Taehyung's arm to get him to leave the comfort of his bed, "Come on Taehyungie, we're going swimming in the lake today!"

All the red head could do was moan as he was forced to leave the warmth of his bed, and soon he found himself standing in front of a lake filled with screaming teenagers. Jungkook had already dived in straight away and was busy talking to one of the other boys, probably about their favourite Disciple.

"Are you not going in, Taehyung?" Jin asked as he came over, "Or are you meditating on the beauty of God's creation?"

"Definitely meditating," Taehyung said, wanting to have nothing to do with the antics happening in the lake.

I mean, it was pathetic really. Despite the fact that all these kids preached the word of God so fervently, it was clear they all wanted to do nothing but bang each other. The girls were wearing swimming costumes slightly too revealing to just be functional, and all the boys had clearly done a number of push ups before getting in. These heterosexuals are so odd, Taehyung thought to himself.

"Taehyungie! Taehyungie! Get in the lake, it's so nice in here!" Jungkook called out, "Don't be such a spoil sport."

The black haired boy was soaking wet, his tight swimming trunks now stuck to his thighs which looked practically delectable. Why the fuck does the pastor's son have to be so hot? Taehyung mused as he reluctantly stood up and waded into the cool water.

Jungkook squealed and jumped into Taehyung's arms which threw the elder off balance and meant both of them crashed down into the water. Jungkook couldn't stop laughing as they surfaced, and Taehyung merely rolled his eyes and flicked his wet hair out of his face. A girl nearby practically orgasmed at the sight.

"Come and play with my friends! We're baptising each other," Jungkook squeaked.

"Isn't that kind of blasphemous?"

"No, silly!" Jungkook hit him lightly on his shoulder, "It's a camp tradition. Everyone is baptised by a friend and it shows your commitment to the camp, and of course to God!"

Taehyung didn't really get a say in whether he wanted to join in on the antics because he was dragged over by an overly excitable Jungkook who was already yelling to his friends about their new victim. Taehyung was passed over to Yoongi who was acting as the Chief Baptiser, and before Taehyung knew it he was being pushed underwater.

"Hey!" Taehyung spluttered as he came up to the surface, "You could have warned me."

Everyone around him was in fits of laughter, and he looked around in confusion to see Jungkook laughing harder than the rest. When he saw Taehyung's face he only laughed harder.

"Got you!" He shouted to Taehyung, and red-head rolled his eyes, not amused by the childish joke.

But there was something about Jungkook's laugh that dissolved all anger in him.
