Chuck vs. The Sensei Part 3
"I have something that belongs to him." Bennett told Chuck, holding up a pen.
"Casey, you say? John Casey? You know, I'm gonna go to the back and-and-and check on that for you. So let me just... do that... quick." Chuck said, backing away slowly and grabbing his phone to call Casey. " Pick up the phone, John. Pick up the phone, Casey! " Casey's voicemail came up. " Code Red! Code Red! Redder than red! It is the reddest! It is the reddest of all hues! We are Defcon One, or Five or whichever means "Hurry, " right now! Bennett is at the Buy More!" Chuck then turned around and saw Ty was gone. " Oh, no."
Chuck ended up finding Bennett talking to Morgan. Chuck had to quickly jump in.
"Hi. Sorry, sorry. I just checked into it, sir, and John Casey is unfortunately not working today, and I don't know when he's gonna be back in, but you could try back next week. Uh, maybe, maybe Tuesday-ish."
" Thank you."
" You're welcome."
"That guy was awesome! Dude, did you see what he did to this can? He did this with his bare hands. Crush, like that. Could you imagine what he could do to a guy's face?"
Chuck stared at the can and freaked out a little. You then came into the store, since you were on break and found Chuck and Morgan.
"Hey!"
"Hey Y/N!" Morgan greeted as he went off.
Chuck just stood there, not really realizing you were there.
"Chuck? Babe? Hello?"
"Oh! Oh! Hey! Sorry."
"It's okay. Something wrong?"
"Very. Ty Bennett is here."
"What?! Did you call Casey?"
"I tried. No answer. Maybe we should follow him."
"We could..."
You and Chuck went outside and found him at the Large Mart parking lot. Chuck tried to call Casey again.
"Not feeling very chatty right now." Casey answered.
" Hold on, Casey, don't hang up. Y/N and I are looking right at your sensei."
"Bennett's at the Buy More?"
"What? How is that possible?" Sarah asked.
" Was. Was at the Buy More. Now he's in the Large Mart parking garage. We're tailing him."
"No, stop, imbeciles! You guys are no match for him. Don't be an idiot!"
" Look, you're only reacting like this because your own feelings were hurt, okay? Please don't lash out on us. Where did he go?"
You and Chuck looked around and when you both turned around, Bennett was standing right in front of both of you.
" Oh, God!" Chuck shouted, dropping his phone while you screamed.
Bennett had already made you get in the trunk and now he was trying to get Chuck in there.
"I'm a little tall for something like this. Is there another seating option, perhaps?" Chuck asked.
Bennett just looked at him and then you and then slammed the trunk on you both.
You held on to Chuck tightly as Bennett was driving.
"Chuck where do you think he's taking us?"
"More than likely to our deaths."
"Fantastic."
Sarah and Casey made it to where Bennett was at thanks to yours and Chuck's watches.
"The signal from the watch is getting stronger. Chuck and Y/N are close." Sarah informed.
Casey drove around and who was facing him a few feet was away was none other than Bennett.
"Casey, what are you doing?" Sarah asked when Casey was reving up the engine.
" The vic can take the hit."
You and Chuck could both hear Bennett doing the same thing.
" Oh, no, not good, not good." Chuck began.
"Oh God."
"Wait. I've got them. It says the signal is... the signal is right in front of us." Sarah said.
Casey didn't hear and began to drive fast towards Bennett.
" No, Casey, stop, stop! Chuck and Y/N are in the car! You're gonna kill them!" Sarah shouted, scared now.
"Oh, fast. And he's driving very, very fast." Chuck noted as you both held on to each other tight.
"Casey!" Sarah shouted one more time before Casey drove out of the way and Bennett slammed into a car.
Bennett hopped out quickly as did Sarah and Casey and they got their guns out. Sarah had to check on the both of you first while Casey went after Bennett himself.
Sarah got to the trunk and opened. Sarah breathed a sigh of relief when she saw you were both okay.
"It's actually more spacious in here than you might think." Chuck said while you just groaned.
While that was happening, Casey tried to grab Bennett but unfortunately failed.
"So Bennett got away. Again." Beckman began, as you all were back in Castle now. " If you don't mind me asking, where were the Intersects during all of this?"
" Well, technically we were in Bennett's trunk, so we didn't see anything that happened, but it sounded very exciting." Chuck replied.
"Oh yeah... exciting." you said sarcastically.
"Wait. So, Major, while you were playing your game of chicken, Chuck and Y/N were in Bennett's trunk?" Beckman asked, not happy.
"As soon as we ascertained the Intersects' location, Major Casey disengaged." Sarah explained.
" Sounds like Bennett has decided to make this personal, Casey, and so have you. I'm pulling you off the case. "
"With all due respect..." Casey started.
"This is why I didn't tell you about Bennett. I knew you would turn it into a vendetta. I'm bringing in another team to clean up your mess."
" But I know Bennett. I know how he operates."
" You're forgetting your primary objective is protecting the Intersect. You will remain in Castle until the mission is completed. Consider it a cooling-off period." Beckman finished before signing off.
Casey then turned to you both, glaring.
" You little..." Casey started, anger in his voice.
"Whoa! Casey!" you shouted.
" We didn't know this was going to happen. We didn't know... tell him we didn't know this was going to happen!" Chuck said.
Both of you got up and tried to back away from him.
"If my primary objective wasn't to protect you two... I'd kill you." Casey threatened, grabbing Chuck's collar while you hid behind Chuck.
You and Chuck were now back up in Orange Orange, sitting on the counter, waiting for Sarah to come up.
"Did you talk to Casey?" Chuck asked.
"Is he mad? I feel horrible." you said.
"Casey is always mad. That's his baseline." Sarah explained.
"I never should have said all that stuff in front of the general." Chuck said.
"Yeah we should have just kept our mouths shut and he wouldn't be in this mess."
"No, your assessment was accurate. I mean, the facts are the facts." Sarah said, trying to reassure the both of you.
" True, but the guy's going through a lot. If we were really a friend, we would look past what he's saying and remember how he's feeling." you tried to explain.
" I mean, I should know better than anybody what he's going through right now."
"You two are so sweet." Sarah said, putting her hand on your arm." But, you know, an apology is not going to work, because Casey is combat ready at all times. Which means his feelings are liabilities."
"Well, aren't you supposed to be combat ready at all times?" you asked Sarah, smirking a little and she smiled back.
"We need to go get ready to go to Chuck's place now and meet Ellie."
"Oh! Right!" you said, quickly getting up off the counter. "Chuck we will meet you at your place for the wedding tasting after your shift okay?"
"Alright."
Chuck then leaned in and gave you a kiss before you went to join Sarah.
"And please, don't go downstairs. Leave Casey alone." Sarah warned before the two of you walked out.
You and Sarah were at Chuck's place now, doing the food tasting, but Chuck had still not arrived.
"So, you're sure it's all right to start without Chuck?" Devon's mom, Honey, asked.
"Yeah, he has a tendency to run late." Ellie explained.
" Yeah, it's like the kid's in his own world half the time." Devon added.
"Must drive you crazy, Y/N." Devon's dad asked you.
"Oh, I'm pretty used to it, actually. And Chuck always has a good excuse. Right Sarah?"
"Always!" Sarah agreed, smiling.
"So we are all in agreement then? Yes to the trout, no to the beef au jus. And what was your favorite cake, Ellie?" Honey asked.
"Um..."
" Oh, it doesn't matter. Let's agree on the red velvet. Big fan."
"And I love sorbet between courses."
"Great idea, Woody."
"So, are you going to wear your hair up? Wait a second... I just had a brilliant idea. White ties. Woody looks so handsome in a white tie. That's not too formal is it?"
" I don't know. And I know you're not in contact with your dad, so I would be honored, really, to walk you down the aisle on your wedding day."
Both you and Devon could see Ellie was getting so frustrated with everything.
"You know, guys, maybe we should just table the wedding talk." Devon suggested.
"Um, no. I have something I'd like to say, actually." Ellie began." Um, I said yes to the big wedding and I said yes to the burgundy organza bridesmaid dresses, and I just can't say yes anymore. And I'm sorry, I know that you're trying to help, but the answer is no." Ellie shouted, getting up and walked away.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Devon apologized, going after Ellie, leaving you and Sarah there with Devon's parents, feeling very awkward.
"Well, Y/N... so you're in the yogurt game?" Woody asked.
" Yeah. Along with Sarah here."
"Yeah, yogurt."
"I think we should go for a walk and give the kids some time to themselves." Honey told Woody. A phone then began to ring." Oh, it's Ellie's phone. Oh, it's Chuck. Should I answer it?"
"Oh, I'll take it. Thank you." you said, grabbing the phone out of your hand and walked to the kitchen, Sarah right behind you.
" Hey, Chuck, where are you?" you asked.
"Y/N! Baby, thank God. Listen, um... Casey threatened my life, so technically I can't tell you..."
"What?" you asked, angry. "Hang on Chuck. We are going to go up to your room to talk." you said walking towards his room, Sarah following you. Once you were in, you put the phone on speaker. "Okay Chuck, you're on speaker. Sarah is with me. Explain to us what is going on. What did Casey do?"
"Like I said I can't say but...Well, you could guess though. Yeah, you could guess."
" Chuck, I don't have time for games." Sarah said.
" Just guess! I'll tell you if you guys are hot or cold. And FYI, this place is very cold. It's... it's practically frozen."
"You're at Orange Orange." you said.
" Bingo! Yes, you're amazing!"
" Let me guess- you went down into the Castle and Casey used you to get out and then he locked you in the Orange Orange and now he's going after Bennett." Sarah now guessed.
" Wow. That's very impressive. How did you... ?"
"Okay. Where did he go?"
"You didn't hear this from me. 1919 Mulholland Drive."
" Can you get out? "
"No. No. Not until you guys get down here and get the key to get me out of these handcuffs."
"Good. Then stay there."
"Wait Sarah!" you said.
"Fine. Y/N will come get you out but you two need to stay there after." Sarah said, now looking at you.
"Okay."
"I'll be there soon babe!" you said before grabbing the phone and hanging up.
You and Sarah were then quickly out of his room and out of his house.
