Nabila's POV

I was still at Ama's house when one of her friends called her. She was inviting us to her parent's anniversary party which she organised for her parents as a surprise.

"When is it" I asked because the phone was on speaker mode.
" It's on the 27th of next month" she replied
Next month. My heart started beating faster.
"27th of December?!"I asked to confirm.
Yeah and I'm super excited" she replied.

I looked at Ama then tears came rushing down my face. I ran out of Ama's room to their balcony which was high walled. I sat down on the floor and joined my legs together. I put my head on them them crossed my hand over them.

I cried. I cried each time I remember what happened that day. That day was the most unfortunate day of my life. On that day.......... Well you'll soon get to know.

"Beelah stop crying" Ama said hugging me. Apart from our parents she's the only one that knows about that day.
"Ama I can't" I sobbed" anytime I remember what happened that day I feel like..... like" I sobbed harder.

"Don't cry. What ever happened that day happened for the best. You see you're still living your life and you're happy. Don't spoil your mood. It's a long incident,four years ago. It won't matter again,kinji" Ama consoled me wiping my tears away.

"Ama thank you so much for being with me when I need" I said crying.
"Come on silly. If I don't console this cry baby who will?" She said and I nodded

That's how Ama consoled me and made me forget everything. She's really a gem. Not everyone is lucky enough to have someone like her by his or her side all the time.

I was coming back from the hospital when Dr Asha called. She told me to go to her house but said that if I'm busy I didn't need to go.
Since it was Dr Asha, I decided to go. It was after 8. I was driving when I saw a man...... more like a mad man because his clothes were torn and he looked miserable.

I honked at him but it seems like he is deaf. I tried applying the brakes but I didn't know what happened as my car hit him.

He was about to fall when I caught his head. Wait he looks familiar........oh no it's Ahmad. What's Ahmad doing here in this situation.

"Ahmad"I shouted
"Ahmad"I repeated but I got no answer. I repeated a few more times but when I noticed that he was unconscious I started shouting for help but the problem is that only a few people live around here

I had only one option and that was to carry him by myself. I tried carrying him but ended up dragging him.

After a lot of struggles, I put him into the car and drove off. He was bleeding so I sped up.

In no time I reached the hospital. I made sure they admitted him before finnally sitting down. I called his sister Fatima,yh I met few weeks ago after the dinner.

Before you could say a word, they were in the hospital. We all waited but later went home to get some rest.

I gave strict orders to every doctor and nurse on talking to him when he wakes up. I told them to do their work.

Next morning

Ahmad's POV

I woke up to see myself in a hospital and since when I woke up, doctors and nurses had been entering to either check something or bring my food and non of them talk to me. If I try to talk to them they ignore me and continue what they are doing. And worse part, they chained my legs. Do I look like a mad man.

Wow. Dr Asha now walked in.
"Hey Dr Asha nice to see you. How was your night"I said trying to make a conversation but hell. She didn't even look at my direction, not to talk of me.

Now Nabila entered. Atleast I have someone to talk to.
"Hey Asha how was your night" she asked.
"It was good and yours"Asha asked. What the heck. She answered Nabila
"It was stressful how about him" Nabila said looking at me briefly the looked away.

"Hmm see for yourself " Asha said and walked away.

"Asha wait and see. Immediately I get out of here I'll deal with you. Tell this to your co workers"I yelled before Nabila cut me off.

"Shhhhh" she placed a finger on her lips and widened her eyes. OMG this looks scary.

Nabila's POV

"Shhhhh" I shut him up. Now it's time to give him a taste of his medicine.

"What do you think you did? You went out there at the night in the middle of the road doing what? Walking. Is something wrong with you. Imagine I wasn't the one that saw you and it was another person, what do you think the person would do,eh"

"If it was another person,the person might leave you there, helplessly on that lone road. You would have been there till you die. Don't you think that there are people that love you, people who can't leave without you" I said with tears threatening to spill

"Okay. Let's see it this way. You don't want to live right, no problem. But there are people who want you to live. Have you thought about Fatima, Ummi, Hafsa and Aunty Radiya, what about your dad" I yelled

"In zaka yi abu kayi tinani first (when you're about to do something think first). In ba haka ba akwai matsala( if not there would be a problem)"I rebuked like a dad that is angry

"I've said my own, the remaining is for you to hear and use but if you don't want, don't worry that was just my duty as a friend" I smiled and said in a low tone now. I was now in tears.

I turned to leave when I heard his voice
"I only went there for Raima. I also didn't know such will happen. From Mamai throwing out to me wandering on the street to you finding and finnally landing here. I'm sorry" he said with his head down

"I walked back and sat on a chair beside him " look, I know that you didn't plan this but you could also have controlled it. If we look at this carefully, had it been you didn't go to Raima a this wouldn't have happened"

"I don't know who this Raima is all I know is that she's in your past. Leave your past along with things associated to it" I said contemplating on saying my next sentence
"Even if it's Raima" I finnally said.
I know I risked saying that because his family members told me how important she is to him.

"JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP" Ahmad yelled in a very authorative voice I didn't know he had. He made me flinch.

"I only allowed you to talk since you were talking as my friend, only a friendly advise. I didn't ask you to act like my mother or so" he thundered in the process hitting a glass making shatter on the ground.

Asha came in but I nodded at her assuring that I'll take care of him.

"You can't just tell me to forget Raima"he said now staring at me. His eyes were red just like a vampire. Thank God for the chain if not only God knows what he would do.

"I didn't say so, you're stuck in your past and that's what is affecting you" I said with a calm voice "you need to move on" I added.

Ahmad's POV

I don't know what's wrong with me. How can I be shouting at her this much. Besides, she's right. I'm stuck in my past and I need to move on.

"I'm sorry for the way I reacted. I don't know what came over me"I said looking at her hoping she'd accept the apology.

" I'll send some to release you, your family members will soon be her" she said then left.

Ya Allah! What did I do.

Nabila's POV

What's wrong with this guy. I was only trying to help but then..........
It's his problem.
Mstwwwwww he even has the guts to apologise

AHMAD'S POV

A nurse came in after she left. She unchained me and was about to leave when I told her to call Nabila.

About two minutes later, Nabila came in and stood by the door.

"What do you want again" came her voice.
"Look I'm sorry it wasn't on purpose. You know when you're attached to something and then asked to leave it you'll surely be angry"I looked down

"It's okay. I know how it feels " she smiled and sat down on a chair beside.

"So are we good " I sat up.
"Yh" she smiled.

"So how did you find me" I asked and that's how she kept talking and even exaggerating some things. This girl is a talkative.
