-Samantha-
"Sam, I'm going to need you to put down your phone."
I looked up at my therapist, Doctor Muktar, as a result of my so called accidental overdose I now had to see more of my therapist which I did not like.
"What?"
"I need you to put down your phone," she repeated.
"Who are you texting so much? You're friend, Nathan?" She asked me.
"No one," I mumbled.
To say that Victoria was avoiding me was an understatement. She was avoiding me and running away from me at every single turn. In fact as soon as we got to the ferry she sat with other people and since this was a private matter I would treat it as such, but she wasn't really giving me a choice either way.
"So, how have you been, Sam?" She asked me.
I let out a sigh, "I'm fine I just need to take care of something."
"And would you mind sharing that something with me?" She asked.
"No." I said slowly.
"Why can't I ask you about it?"
"Because it's a private matter and if I wanted you to know I would tell you," I told her.
Then let out a sigh, "Are we done here?" I asked.
"Not yet, Sam one more thing," she told me.
I scratched at the Darkzone mark, lately it had been itching for some reason.
"How has your mood been?" She asked me.
"Fine. I've been happy," I mumbled.
"Okay, I'll see you back in two weeks," she told me.
I practically ran out of my therapist office. Since I had a morning appointment on a school day, that meant that I was going to school right after this.
When I got to school I arrived at the end of first period so I went to Victoria's locker.
The moment she saw me she was shocked to say the least. "S-Sam?"
"Okay, Victoria can we go somewhere private because I need to talk to you it's important," I told her.
"I don't really want to talk right now in fact I think I have cheerleading practice," she said looking everywhere but me.
I sighed, "Victoria, it's second period if you're going to lie to me please come up with a better one."
I crossed my arms and stared at her, "Now can we please talk about what happened at-"
"No! You're just going to make fun of me, and hate me, and a bunch of other stuff!" She protested.
"And that's why we need to talk first, because if we don't and you keep avoiding it's going to hurt my feelings, I'm going to be mad then I really might hate you," I told her.
Victoria let out a whimper and started nibbling on her bottom lip, "Okay, I just don't want you to hate me," she whispered.
We went to the girls' bathroom and when everyone was gone I finally spoke.
"Listen, Victoria I respect your feelings and emotions but I don't like you that way, I'm also dating, Nathan. There's no way I could ever hate you so I really hope that we can still be friends though," I told her.
Victoria started crying and she threw her arms around my neck. "Oh, Sam I'm sorry I've been running away from you! I was just really scared."
"I know but, Victoria you're kind of strangling me," I told her.
"I'm sorry for that too," she said as she loosened her grip on me.
Victoria grabbed a paper towel and began wiping her face. "Whenever you can, can you give me the dreamcatcher back. I need to fix it so that it says something else," she told me.
I smiled at her, "Sure, I can you're so talented by the way I could never remember how to make something like that."
"My grandma taught me how to make them actually," she said.
As we walked out of the bathroom we said goodbye to each other then went to our separate classes.
At the end of the day I stayed behind after school with Nathan because he had practice. One thing I never noticed was that Theo usually appeared and sat in some random dark spots in the gym.
However at the current moment he was sitting next to me on the bleachers. "Why do you do that?" I asked him as I doodled in my art book.
"I have no clue what you're talking about," he said.
"Why do you teleport all over the place?" I asked him.
"I'm just trying to get a nice seat," he told me, then smiled.
"Why is your notebook filled with drawings of me?" He asked.
I stopped drawing and glared at him. "No it isn't. It's filled with drawings of my nightmares," I protested.
"Yeah, that's me. I like to visit you in person, Samantha."
"Stay out of my head, Theo. You don't have any right to be in there," I told him.
Theo shrugged. "I may not have the right but it's my job. Nathan's, in your head when you don't want him to, but then again he's more courteous than I and he'll turn a blind eye to certain things he finds up there. Like the issue with, Victoria," Theo told me.
I froze at first then I glanced at him. "What did you just say?" I asked him slowly.
"I'm glad you took care of it or else I would have had to take care of it my way," he told me.
