She watched from the window in front of her desk as snow began to fall. "Winter is here," she smiled. Her small office room was cosy, a fireplace alight and the logs crackled. The shadows of the flames danced over her bookshelves, her desk was covered in spooky Christmas decorations which matched the the spooky Christmas tree that was topped with a flickering Jack O'Lantern. She had pumpkin bean bags sitting next to her purple bat spooky stain-glass bat window, with an empty Jack Skellington mug next to them. Anna ran a hand over her hair, she was trying to get her novel finished in time for Christmas.
She looked at her word count, "two thousand words to go," she sighed and watched as the snow continued to fall. Bandit walked in with a tray of hot chocolate.
"Another Hot Chocolate for you dumpling," he smiles placing the pumpkin mug down on the table.
"Thank you," she smiles up at him.
"How much longer until you're done?" Bandit asked and kissed her head. "I want you to join me outside and build a snowman with me!"
"Another 2000 words love, I won't be long," she said.
"I can't wait that long, turn it off already!" He demanded and placed his hands over hers, "Stop hun." He gently squeezed her hands.
"Fine," she sighed and finally gave in. He shut her laptop down gently.
"Aw, you put the wolf sticker I bought you on your laptop," he smiled down at her and kissed her head again. "Go put something warm on and meet me at the front door," he gently pushed her up the stairs. She huffed a smile as she skipped up the steps to their bedroom, she pulled on her favourite jumper, thick socks and her boots on. A few minutes later she skipped down the stairs to Bandit who was looking up at her smiling. He offers her his hand.
"Come on love, let's go have a wander in the cold," he says and drags her out into the snow, "this is much better than your stuffy office."
"I disagree with you there," she pouts, he lifts her gloved hand to her lips and gently kisses her knuckles.
"Stop pouting dear, it doesn't suit you and besides you'll get frown lines before your time," he says and boops her nose.
"I don't care, I could be writing," she said.
"Forget about writing love, you're spending time with me," he says gently tilting her head up to look at him. "You are going to enjoy your time with me," he led her out to the large lawn where all the snow was untouched. "You and I are going to build our snowman here." He says and starts to roll snow up building the base of the snowman. "Wanna start rolling the other half love?" She sighs and rolls her eyes. "Come on, you can write later tonight in front of the fire, how does that sound?"
"Okay, fine," she responds and kneels in the snow to start rolling it into a bowl, she rolls it until the second half of the snowman is ready, but she finds it difficult to lift the second half onto the snowman.
"Let me help you little one," Bandit laughs and lifts the second large snowball onto the snowman. Together they built the head and placed the accessories onto the white figure. The snowman wore the hat she had made for Bandit, a red and white scarf, a carrot nose, a coal smile and stick arms with mittens. "Doesn't he look beautiful!" Bandit exclaimed.
"Very," she smiles.
"Don't you feel better now that you are out here with me?" He asked gently wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her into his side kissing her head.
"Yes, you win," she said standing on her tiptoes to kiss his lips.
