Wreath
This was Anastasia's favourite time of the year: the Christmas carols and all the festivities surrounding Christmas. A bare, boring green wreath lay on her dining table, and all her bits and pieces were laid out on the table. She was going for a red and white snowy theme this year. She had icicle lights to hang off the bottom and even fake snow to spray onto it.
"Focus," she whispered to herself. "Hm...." she hums to herself. "Lights first." She says and starts to unravel the lights twisting them around the wreath, these were small LED golden lights and twinkled gently as she set them. The next thing Anastasia did was set the icicle lights to hang off the bottom of the wreath giving it an almost icy effect, her fingers gently touched and caressed all her baubles that lay on the table, almost allowing her senses to choose the bauble for her. The next thing she did was wrap the berries around, she picked up a snowflake with a wire end so she could place it onto the wreath, she placed four onto the wreath two at the top and two down the bottom.
"Damn it! I'll be covered in glitter by the end of this," she giggles to herself, "and so will you." She says looking at her collie who sat next to her with her mouth gaping open, her long pink tongue hanging out and drool dribbling onto the floor. She then places orange slices onto the wreath the smell always pleasant to her senses. Next was some vanilla sticks. With another red and gold ribbon on top, she then picked up her red and white candy canes gently attaching the glass ornaments onto the green branches. She attached two foam blocks covered in red wrapping paper with gold string wrapped around it.
"I think we're getting somewhere," she smiles looking down at the collie again gently patting her head, and she yips in response. She then picked out a few of her old frosted apples that her parents gave her years ago, she threaded them onto another branch. "Well, it's all coming together," she smiles looking over the wreath. "Maybe a few more candy canes before I add the finishing touches," she picks up a few attaching them with ribbons and gluing a few more berries to it before picking up her fake snow tin, spraying the snow lightly all over the wreath and then adding more glitter and covering herself.
She propped it up and kept looking over it making sure it looked perfect or tweaked certain bits and pieces. "What do you think Dolly?" she asks looking down at her dog as she yipped again. "Let's hang it outside," she said and grabbed her coat before taking the wreath to her garage door and hanging it out there for all to see her handiwork, she switched on the lights and it glittered in the twinkling lights.
"Perfect," she smiles before walking indoors beginning more festive crafts for the year.
