The day was finally here, it was the Teen Nick Awards and I was nominated for song of the year along with some other artists in the industry. I released a single a few months ago, and it was nominated for song of the year! When I was told this, I literally almost cried for around 10 minutes, I was that happy.

"Hey, Angel! Hurry up!" Gaby shouted downstairs as I fixed my earrings in my mirror. "I'm coming, relax!" I yelled back before grabbing my purse and popping my phone into it.

"You think we'll run into Rocky?" She asks. Gaby has had the biggest crush on Rocky Lynch for forever, and they've never talked before. They seem like a good pair, though.

"Maybe. Isn't Ross nominated for a best TV actor?" I asked as we got into her car. We buckled up before starting to drive towards Nick Studios. "Yeah, he is." She nods. Gaby has been a huge fan of R5 since I could remember. Gaby and I met freshman year in high school, and we're now 19 years old.

"Is it bad that I'm nervous?" I asked as I felt those butterflies again. "Not at all! It's your first real awards show, they don't expect you to be calm the whole time."

After many interviews asking about my relationships, new music, and many more topics, we were finally inside for the awards. "Do you see a group of blonds? With two or three heads of hair?" Gaby asks as she attempts to look around for R5.

"Gaby, this is not an opportunity for you to hook up with Rocky." I chuckled before leading her over to our seats. It was kind of near the front, but also not too far in the back.

"I'm not trying to hook up with him, I just want to be friends." She blushes as she watched everyone get ready. "Shit! There they are!" She exclaims, earning some laughs from people around us. I looked over to where she was looking to see a group sitting down. One of the blond's, who I recognized as Ross, glanced up at us. We locked eyes, and it felt like the world stop. Sending a small smile, I turned to Gaby in attempt to seem calm.

"Did you just lock eyes with Ross?" She asks. "Yeah, why?" I chuckled. She squeals, earning some more laughs.

"Gaby, calm down. We can meet them afterwards." I giggled. "Promise?" She holds out her pinky finger. "Promise." I agreed before finishing the promise off.

"Alright everyone, please take your seats." A voice rang out through the arena. Smiling, I got ready for the show to start.

"Introducing the song of the year, give some applause to Ross Lynch and Debby Ryan!" The announcer says, the tall blond that caught my eye earlier walked out onto stage.

"Oh my god, Angel. You're going to meet Ross." She whispers to me. "I'll introduce you if we get the chance to talk." I chuckled softly before listening to them introduce the nominees. The cameras around the room started closing in on the nominees.

"And the winner is..." Debby trailed off.

"Angel Evans with Fortress!" Ross exclaimed happily. "Eek! You did it!" Gaby exclaims as the crowd started cheering. "Couldn't have done it without you." I smiled before hugging her briefly.

We pulled away and I made my way to the stage where they were waiting for me. As I approached, Ross happily holds the award out for me. "Thanks." I smiled before standing at the podium. My nerves started kicking in as the crowd died down.

"I just want to send a thank you to my fans, my friends, and my family. Without them, I wouldn't be here. Thank you for nominating me, I love you!" I spoke, cheers breaking out again afterwards.

All the cameras panned to the host, Nick Cannon. "Hey, I'm Ross." Ross smiles as we went down the stairs that lead to our seats. "I'm Angel." I held my free hand out for him to shake. He smiles before shaking my hand. "Hey um, my best friend kind of wants to meet you guys. She's a huge fan." I chuckled as we approached his seat, but we both slowed down.

"Let's meet up after this? We can exchange numbers and make a plan?" He suggests. "Yeah, sounds great." I smiled as I pulled my phone out. We handed each other our phones and exchanged numbers briefly. "I'll text you when I get to my seat." I smiled up at his gorgeous features. "Sounds good." He beams before turning around and sitting down. I waved briefly before returning to my seat with my phone in hand.

"Did you seriously just get Ross Lynch's number?" Gaby asked as I sat back down. "Yeah, why?" I chuckled as I held my award on my lap.

Smiling, I picked up my phone and sent him a quick text before looking his way. Ross was currently laughing with his family, but looked down at his phone when it delivered. He sends me a smile before answering my text.

We spent the rest of the ceremony texting each other back and forth, getting to know each other and plan how we're going to surprise Gaby.

Ross and I planned to go home and meet back up the next day to surprise Gaby. Gaby was upset that she couldn't meet R5 last night, but when she finds out she's meeting them today it's going to be crazy.

"Gaby, come on let's go!" I groaned as I twirled my Jeep keys around my finger. "I'm coming, hold on." She groans as she gets off the couch.

The two of us lock the door behind us and make our way to the park.

It didn't take us long to get to the park, and it was later so we weren't noticed as easily. "Wait, are they who I think they are?" Gaby gestures to the group who was sitting at a table. "I promised you would meet them." I chuckled. She squeals before getting out of the car.

"Now, I've only met Ross so we're in this together." I chuckled as we began to walk over to them. She nods as we approached the group.

The blonde looks up and immediately smiles. "Hi! I'm Rydel!" She exclaims before standing up and engulfing the two of us in a hug. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Angel, and this is Gaby, my best friend." I giggled as we pulled apart, introducing ourselves to the group.

After we were all introduced, we tried to find out what to do. "Here, sit down." Ross pats the spot next to him. Smiling, I sat down beside him. As we all began talking, I couldn't help but to think about the blond next to me. He's so sweet, and he's easy on the eyes.

"Ross literally didn't sleep last night because he was texting you all night and day." Rocky teases his younger brother. Blushing, I played it off with a laugh.

Ross blushes beside me before changing the subject.
