"John, you are seeing this, correct? I'm not going crazy?" Dreamz asked her friend as she dragged him towards her apartment complex. It was a Sunday morning, but even though the boy would much rather be in bed, the angry Australian had dragged him here to be a witness.
"Well, you're mad either way, but yes, I do see the birds if it makes you feel better." He explained, letting out a large yawn, before bending down and poking one of the turtle doves. "This is funny. Whoever is doing this is a genius."
Dreamz eyed him suspiciously. "It is you?"
"You kidding? I don't have the money to afford 12 days of presents. This isn't Hanukkah." Before Dreamz could explain that the Jewish holiday had nothing to do to this, John had already moved on to a new subject. "Oh, look, a note!" He said, bending down and scooping it up. "On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me: five golden rings. Four calling birds, three French hens, two turtle doves, and a Partridge in a pear tree. Oh my god. Someone is trying to woe you!"
"No, someone is trying to piss me off." Dreamz steamed as she slid the rings off the poor birds legs. "And I have ideas on who it is."
John raised a brow. "Who? Are they the from the group of friends I'm not allowed to interact with?"
"Yes. There is Arthur-"
"Oh, I ship." A sickening sound rang through the air as Dreamz slapped him.
"There's this group called SASS- but this isn't a blackmail... This could be Gilbert-"
"Isn't that your boy toy?" Dreamz lurched towards John with her fist clenched, causing him to let out a shriek of alarm and drop dramatically to the ground.
"I suppose it could be Cooper... But this doesn't really seem like his thing... Then again, it usually ends up being the person you least expect... Shelby might have something to do with this-"
"Ah, my Queen." John sighed from his spot on the cement.
"This could also be Jett trying to get back at me for cutting him off... Or even Sadık... I should stop making enemies."
"But that'd be boring." John pointed out.
"Yes, my dear Watson. I agree. I shall keep making enemies. But in the mean time, we should really figure out who this is." Dreamz pursed her lips.
"We... Could set a trap? Or hide early in the morning to see who sets the stuff out to catch him?" John suggested.
"Perfect. I'm glad you're not as useless as you appear," John let out a shout of protest at those words, but Dreamz ignored him, "now hurry. We gotta ship these birds off to Cooper before my parents or neighbors see them."
