Still Horatio's P.O.V
I don't always no what to expect when it comes to talking with Kyle,it varies from the ongoing case to personal stuff. And today is no different
"I wanted to ask what your life was like before me?" Kyle asked just after he had sat down
"Just about the same now,not much has changed" I tell him
"Ok what about this Y/n woman,I've heard you had a close friendship before?"Kyle asked,I was wondering when this would come up. I guess its time to tell him about the past.

"I knew Y/n before I met your mother,she worked alongside us back then like she is now" I began"
"Was it weird to have a P.I around?" Kyle inquired
"Not really no,her employer at the time had asked her to contact me about a muder and from there Y/n worked with us." I said
"That's not really telling me much"Kyle said,I took off my sunglasses and put them on the table beside me.

"Y/n and I where together for several years, before you where born" I said
"You're joking right?"Kyle asked" no offense dad but I can't see you dating a woman like Y/n"
"Believe it or not Kyle but it is very much true,if you want further confirmation ask Y/n and she will tell you the same thing "I tell him
"It doesn't even seem possible though, she's a bad ass British woman and your..."Kyle said trailing off
"Yeah I get it,the rest of the team thought similar things when they first found out" I tell him.

"How come you didn't tell me about the two of you beforehand?" Kyle asked
"Well that was my life before you came along and it was my choice to keep that to my self" I told him"I can't see how a past relationship has anything to do with you"
"It doesn't" Kyle said. I can't say that it went well or not because at the moment I got a call to head back to the lab.

Y/n's P.O.V

I managed to get away from my dad and his nagging to head back to work,I had not long got there when H returned with Kyle. I sat watching from my place infront of a computer,Kyle headed one way and Horatio walked towards me
"From the looks of it,your time with your son wasn't great?" I asked
"You could say that" H said stopping beside me
"How come?" I asked
"I told Kyle about us from before and he didn't believe me" H said
"Why?" I asked confused.

"He didn't believe a bad ass like you would be interested in someone like me" Horatio said
"That's a bit rude,he doesn't know what I like in a man. And besides appearance isn't everything" I said
" Also I have the feeling that he is keeping something from me" Horatio said"What though I don't know"
"Want me to talk to him?" I asked
"No it's fine,if he wants to tell me he will in his own time" Horatio told me
"I guess"I say standing up" Anywho pretty boy,I've got to go Frank wants my help with something"

"Stop calling me pretty boy,you know I don't like it" Horatio said
"Fine Red" I said going back to the very first thing I referred to him as, before I learnt his name
"Go and help Frank" H said before walking off,I joined Frank outside the lab" You wanted to see me Frankie?"
"Yes I want you and Kyle to do something for me" Frank said as Kyle then joined us
"Hold up,why do I have to baby sit amateur hour?" I asked,but Frank just walked down the stairs without answering me
"Don't worry Y/n,I'm certain you will like me more than my father" Kyle said before following after Frank
"What did he mean by that?"
