Horatio's idea that Andy Bates had an alternate motive for leaving Miami, turned into a good lead. The CSI team of New York have dealt with Bates before,he has been arrested twice for D.U.I and once for assault. Also it came to light that Bates had been visiting New York a lot in the past year, sometimes for week's at a time and he would take out large sums of money whilst there. That did seem suspicious but then again both Bates brothers have a history of gambling,so that could be the reason for Andy taking out large sums of money.

"I do remember Sam asking me before he died,if I could give him a $1000,but he didn't tell me what for" I tell H
"There might be something else to this, instead of gambling" H tells me
"Such as?" I ask
" What if Andy was having an affair with his sister in-law and had fatherd a child with her,and he was giving her money to not tell her husband" Horatio suggested
"There is that or Andy could have gotten into massive det with a loan shark"I say
"Both ideas are possible" Horatio agreed.

"I don't know Andy that well,but he does seem the type to do this sort of thing. I mean why suddenly leave Miami so soon after your brother's death,sure he could have gone to comfort his sister but why wasn't she in Miami as well?" I ask
"That is a good question" Horatio says
"I can ask Tom if he will make some inquiries on our behalf,that way Andy won't get suspicious and warn Daisy" I suggest
"That is a good idea,there is also a third possibility" Horatio said

"You mean the life insurance"I say
"Yes,how did you know that?" H ask me
"It stands with the other two ideas,big motives for killing someone. Gambling ,an affair and life insurance"I say "Though I doubt either Bates brother would have life insurance,if they did they might have faked there death years ago to cash in on it"
"You make a good point,but we can still look into that possibility as well" Horatio said.
"If you think it might lead somewhere the we can follow that lead as well."I said.

"You don't actually need to help with this case,aren't you only here for the missing girl" H said as we headed back to the airport,I had contacted Tom and told him to learn all he could about Andy and Daisy Bates
"Well yes,but I don't have any new leads at the moment. And instead of wasting my time doing nothing,I'm willing to help out" I say" And anyway you know that isn't the only reason I'm here"
"Yes there is that other more personal matter as well" Horatio said
"..."I didn't say anything else after that,not until we got back to Miami.

"You have been very quiet since we left New York, what's on your mind?" Horatio asked,he is driving me to my father's place
"...hmmm...oh I was just thinking about the up coming lecture I will get from my dad" I say looking out the window,I saw H glance at me from the driver's seat
"That isn't everything though is it?" Horatio said
"You never answered my question from before we went to New York,and now I'm not sure I even want you too"I say.

H pulled up outside my dad's house,took off his sunglasses and looked over to me
"Are you sure you don't want to know,it might be what you want?" He said
"And what then?"I say looking at him" We tried this last time and..."
"It didn't end badly,what are you afraid of?" Horatio asked
"For the same to happen again"I say" I'm not sure I want to end up heart broken again" Horatio sat looking at me,he knew what I meant. Despite us having a great relationship,it ended so suddenly last time and I never got over him.

It took me a long time to realise that I still love him,and our lives still aren't exactly in sinc. I still travel the world as a P.I and H is happy being the head CSI in Miami. If we got back together there is no telling how often we could see eachother,and I don't want that.
"I understand what you are saying Y/n,but you can't let the past hold back your future" Horatio said
"What future,you live and work here and I travel a lot for work" I remind him
"Yes but right now you live and work here too" Horatio points out" We can deal with you leaving if it came to that"

"You make it sound like we are back together" I say
"Aren't we?" H said
"Uh no,you haven't even told me how you feel about me" I say
"I thought that was obvious" H said
"Horatio you are one of the least most obvious people I know,so no it is not obvious to me" I tell him
"I still care about you,I have been thinking about our relationship alot recently. Wondering what I could have done better to still have you with me" Horatio said.
