"Ginger, are you alright?" asked someone who sat beside me.

"No. I can't believe this is happening. I thought they were only friends. I thought he loves me, " I said and he caressed my back. I looked beside me and Ezra is sitting there, smiling at me.

Everyone has already left. After Tannon ran with Eira, chaos reigned all over the place. My parents and their parents argued and it didn't end well.

"Did you know?" I asked and he diverted his gaze at the ground. "So you knew."

"I'm sorry, Ginger. I didn't agree with Tannon, honestly but I really can't do anything about it. He was really persistent in running away with Eira. Eira didn't want to because she knows you love him."

"Yet she still chose to come with him. What kind of a best friend is that, " I shook my head.

He held my hand. "Trust me, Ginger. They had a good reason and you know, maybe all of this happened for a reason."

"Ezra Addington is looking for you, " my older brother, Dominic said.

"Ezra? What is he doing here?" I asked and he shrugged.

I have two older brothers and we never have gotten close. I also don't know why. Probably because I rarely see them. Ever since they were little, they were trained to run the business and I, on the other hand, was always told to expect getting married to a Becker or an Addington.

I know. What kind of a sick policy is that. That often happens for rich families, I guess. Eira was always told that too but she ran away because she always believed that getting married to another rich family to strengthen business relations is stupid, but she never thought she would fall for someone from a rich family too.

I got up from my bed and went downstairs to where Ezra was staying. He's talking to my dad. I have expected for him to ask Ezra to leave, but no, they were still happily talking about business.

"Ginger, Ezra was looking for you. He wanted to take you out so you will get your mind off of things," my dad said when they saw me walk towards them.

"Oh, alright," I said and went back upstairs to get dressed. After getting dressed, I went down and followed Ezra outside.

"Enlighten me, please," I said when he opened the front door of his car. He has the sickest car in the entire universe by the way.

"I felt like you need this and you remind me of Eira two years ago when Tannon also broke her heart, " he said and I chuckled while shaking my head.

The trip going to who knows where was silent. Ezra and I were never really close. We talk when Eira is around but that's about it and I only see him on the Holidays or gatherings.

We stopped by a beautiful park. He helped me out of the car and then, he brought out a basket.

"A picnic?" I asked and he nodded as a reply. "You know, I'm kinda surprised about all of this. We weren't really that close and we rarely see each other, " I said when he was done setting up the picnic mat.

"I just thought that maybe Eira would want me to take care of you so here we are and I'll be showing up more often, " he said.

"Not just on Christmas?" I asked and he laughed.

"Yes, not just on Christmas."

"I know what we'll do next, " he said when I answered the phone.

"Hello to you too, " I said.

It has been two months ever since Ezra and I hung out. We have done so much together. One time, we just went restaurant hunting and we just ate and ate until we got sick. We literally completed all cuisines from all over the world. From Japanese to Italian, we tried it all.

"You love traveling, right?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Which place haven't you gone too?"

"A lot, but I really wanna go to Brazil."

"Okay then we'll go, " he said and my eyes widened.

"For real?"

"Yeah, girl!"

"Oh my f*cking gosh! Yes! And just in time for the Rio Carnival too, " I exclaimed. "But don't you have like a lot of work to do?"

"I am clearing everything just to spend time with you, " he said and my heart raced.

What the f*ck is happening?

"Alright. You go book our tickets and hotel then just text me the details."

"Okay."

"And I'll pay for it, don't worry."

"You don't really ha–"

"Bye, " he said and then hung up. I just shook my head and opened my laptop. I booked our plane ticket and hotel and started planning our itinerary.

"Wait! I booked two bedrooms!" I said when the clerk gave us one bedroom key. We have just arrived in Rio De Janeiro and currently, we are having problems with our hotel room.

"It says here that you booked one twin bedroom, Ma'am, " the clerk said.

"I know I booked two–" I wasn't able to finish what I was saying when I looked at my phone and she was right. I only booked one bedroom with two beds. "F*ck!"

"You could've just told me you wanted to share a room with me, " Ezra said and I glared at him. "I'll just get another room then."

"I'm afraid that is not possible, Sir. We are fully booked as a lot of tourists went here for the Rio Carnival, " she explained and I facepalmed.

"Are there still vacant rooms in other hotels?" Ezra asked.

"I'm afraid there are none. Like I have said, a lot of tourists came for the Carnival."

"Alright, alright. We'll take the room, " I said and she handed me the key. "But you keep all your sh*t to yourself, " I told Ezra.

"And what if I don't?"

"Then I'll poke your eyeball with this key, " I said before pulling my luggage to the elevator.

"This is so amazing!" I exclaimed while we are watching the joyful parade. I was busy admiring the different colors of the float and costumes when I heard a camera click. I looked beside me and I saw Ezra holding his camera and he just took a picture of me.

"You look very happy here, " he said and I looked at my photo.

"I look ugly. Delete that now!" I demanded and he just ruffled my hair. "Ez–" I wasn't able to finish scolding him because he intertwined his hands with mine and my heart raced as if its beat is in sync with the lively beat of the drums.

"You know, I feel like I have the responsibility of taking care of girls that were broken by Tannon, " Ezra said and I laughed. We are now biking around Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas Lake.

"Well, we didn't ask you to."

"It's fine, though. I am enjoying comforting you and Eira, " he shrugged.

"Yeah, because you enjoy the activities you have to experience in order to help us forget. I still can't believe we tried every f*cking cuisine in the planet for a day and hey, we are in Rio de Janeiro having the best party of our lives!" I exclaimed and it kinda echoed in the place.

Ezra chuckled. "That and because you and Eira are very important to me."

"You know, if we're a couple, this would've been very romantic, " I said and Ezra agreed. We are currently having dinner in Ipanema while admiring the sunset.

"I never really tried having dinner by the bay. This is so cool, " he said and I smiled at him.

"I can't believe it's our last day here, " I sighed. "I'll miss Brazil."

"Me too."

"This is probably my most memorable trip yet. Thank you, Ezra."

"No, thank you, Ginger. Thank you for never failing to make me happy."

Three years later...

Yes, I know, time does fly by fast. It has been three years and Ezra and I have been traveling the whole world. Of course, we get breaks because he cannot just leave their company, but most of the time, we have been staying in different countries. I haven't counted but I think we went to eight countries, max, a year.

Are we a couple? No, we are not, but I do admit that I'm kinda maybe catching feelings for him. How can I not, right? Though I'm still not sure yet because I'm really afraid to get into another relationship again.

I am currently trying to call him because I had the craziest idea and I want to do it for it to get off my chest.

"Hello?" he answered.

"Hey, Ezra. There's something I've been wanting to do for the longest time now."

"Okay, travel buddy. What is it?"

"You know where Eira and Tannon are currently staying, right?" I asked and he didn't reply. "Ezra?"

"Yes. I know where they live."

"Take me there?"

"Okay."

"Thanks, Ezra."

"Anything for you, Ginger."

"I don't know why I'm so f*cking nervous, " I said while rubbing both my sweaty hands together.

"We're just going to meet them. Relax, " Ezra said when he held one of my hands.

He said that we were nearing our destination and it didn't take long before we reached a very familiar house. "Tannon's cozy vacation house?"

"Yep. This is where they ran to, " he said before getting out of the car and helping me get out as well. "You stay there and I'll call you, " he said and then, walked to the front door. He rang the doorbell and just a few seconds later, a pregnant Eira answered the door. I covered my mouth with both my hands in shock. I started getting teary-eyed just looking at her and I didn't know how much I missed her till now.

I couldn't wait for Ezra to call me so I ran to where they were and I gave Eira the biggest hug. "Ginger? Ginger, I'm so sorry, " she said. It is evident in her voice that she is crying as well.

"I miss you, Eira. I miss you so much, " I said and she hugged me tighter.

"I miss you, too."

"I knew you two are hiding here, " I told Tannon and Eira. They have already invited us inside and we are currently enjoying some hot cocoa.

"Are you still mad at us?" Eira asked and I giggled.

"Stop worrying too much. I'm not mad and don't stress! My little niece might get your bad aura, " I said and Eira looked at Tannon before they laughed.

"Why? What's funny?" Ezra asked and they looked at the two of us.

"It's a boy, " Eira said and my shoulders fell.

"But I want a girl!" I pouted.

"I do, too, but this happened, " she giggled.

"You did well, Tannon. The Becker name will still continue, " Ezra said, giving Tannon a high five.

"Boys are stupid!" I said and Ezra and Tannon opposed.

We spent the afternoon, talking. It was fun seeing my best friend again and it's a surprise that I don't feel any more pain while seeing Tannon. Ezra told them that their families are gonna come tomorrow and they're going to take them home. They have already accepted everything and they're happy because an Addington married a Becker and she's carrying the next heir to the Becker Group of Companies. Before we all knew it, it was time to go.

"There's something I want to show you before we go, " I told Ezra before we got inside his car.

"What is it?" he asked and I grabbed his car keys.

"Just trust me, " I said and sat on the driver's seat. I started the car and I drove to my favorite spot during winter.

I pulled him out of the car and there he saw the beautiful park with all the lovely ice sculptures.

"This reminds me of all our trips, " he said while looking at the ice sculptures shaped like famous tourist attractions from around the world. "This would look better if snow was falling from the sky, " he said and as if on cue, it started snowing. It's the first snowfall of the year.

He looks happy. He looks like a young boy admiring the snow for the first time. He looked absolutely adorable. "I remember our Korean trip. They believed that when you confess under the first snowfall, the two of you will stay together for a very long time, " he said and I kissed his cheek.

He looked at me with his eyes widened and I just hugged him. "I love you, Ezra. I hope that tradition is true because there is no one in this world that I would want to spend forever with other than you."
