Transgenders
This is another controversial subject. The homosexuality chapter got a lot of different people with different views. Feel free to put your views in the comments below but please don't hate on me for what I believe in. I don't hate transgenders and they should be respected like all people.
We have talked about homosexuality before and honestly I hope that this gets a lot of reads too because there is a lot of confusion of whether being transgender is okay and I want more people to know Christ.
As for transgenders we don't see any verses on whether it is okay or not. I am aware that Deuteronomy 22:5 has some say on whether men should wear women's clothing or vise versa but that is not a specific verse I want to talk about.
I do realize I have used this verse before and I am going to use it again. Genesis 5:2 says "Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man when they were created". So? What does this have to do with anything? We know God created males and females. So if there are 2 genders what is wrong with changing?
We hear that God makes no mistakes but where do we get that from? In Hebrews 4 it says "We have a high priest who was tempted in every point like we are, yet without sin." I want to focus more on the without sin part. God never sinned and everything he made before was good. So since he never sinned he never made a mistake. The only mistakes that would be made is us humans messing something up because none of us always do right.
The problem I see with transgenders is that by changing who you are I see it as basically disagreeing with how God made you to be. If God made no mistakes then he would have made how you are suppose to be. If you were born male, you are a male. If you were born female, you are a female. By changing who you are is like saying God made a mistake because you feel like you need to be something different than how you were created to be, to find fulfillment or to try something out. No! God made you for so much more! God wouldn't make you a male and then say OOPS! you were suppose to be a female my bad! God makes no mistakes! He wouldn't make you one thing just so you can change who you are later. For the people that say "God wanted me to change" If he wanted you to change he would change you. You don't need to change yourself as in change what you look like.
That is why I believe it is a sin. God made you who you are from when you were in the womb to today so that he can work in you and change you not to be someone you are not. God is working in all of us even today but I feel like it is honestly disrespecting him when we want to change who we are because we don't feel "right". Accept who you are and be proud of who you are. Don't think you need to change who you are or what you look like because honestly... it's just weird.
