1.) The lawyer stood in the courtroom, seeming to fill the entire building with her voice, "So you really did have no idea what you were doing, did you?"

The witness squirmed and she held eye contact. A long second passed before the witness replied. A long second that determined the fate of this case...and the accused.

2.) "Why does life have to be so hard?" she flopped onto her bed, staring at the ceiling, looking for answers. She found none. 

"What is the purpose of this world?" the girl rolled over, not expecting an answer.

She didn't know it yet, but the answers were right under her nose.

3.) "Please state your name and spell the last for the court." the lawyer began.

"Abigail Reeds. R-E-E-D-S,"

"Miss Reeds, can you please tell the court about yourself,"

The trial was interupted by a pinched voice, "Your Honor, I apologize for the interuption but..." his voice trailed off shakily, "The accused is gone."

The court room exploded into conversation, panic, and squeals.

"What do you mean? He was sitting right there!"

"I don't know!"
