I woke up to my wife screaming as always. "CHRIS GET YOUR ASS OUT OF BED" I sat up and rubbed my eyes putting on my glasses immediately. "yes dear?" I could hear her from the bedroom. "GET DOWN HERE NO" I nodded "OKAY OKAY" as I got out of bed I thought about her. I shook my head I was married why couldn't I just stop? I rolled my eyes and grabbed the same things I always wore. A long sleeved white button down and my black pants along with my belt. I walked down stairs one step at a time.  I took my time getting to the kitchen I really didn't want to see rose. Rose is my highschool sweetheart. We got married back in the 60s. She was amazing then. We traveled. we went to bars. We went to church together. Then we had kids. We adored them. But somewhere along the lines we fell out of love. Neither of us will admit it honestly. "What?! I have places to be and women to bother' she turned around from making her coffee. "Oh fuck you Chris. Pick up milk when you get done today will you?" I nodded I could do that. I looked down at my watch. "I'm late I'll see you later rose" she went back to making her coffee. "Yes you too chris". It made me sad she never said I love you anymore. Not like she would mean it...
