~Chapter 7~

By twelve pm the next day I had Quinten and my stuff pack and loaded in the car ready to roll out. I had bought him a new car seat and he seemed to be potty trained so we didn't need diapers. He was a very smart three year old and he was super sweet.

I had called Luna Lite the night before and told her about the argument and how I wanted to come early. Of course she said I could come tomorrow and that she would call a early pack meeting to inform everyone and I told her to expect me around four.

"Hey boo bits you ready to go?" I asks looking into the back seat.

"Yea," he says clapping his hands.

I pulled up to the Sheer Shadow's pack house and there was a crowd standing outside. I got out the car and let Quinten out quickly grabbing his hand. We walked through the crowd and people bowed and clapped, this was not what I was expecting not at all. I was thinking more of people booing and throwing stuff.

The Alpha, Luna, Jordan, and what might be their beta stand at the front steps of the house. I walked up to them and bow. Quinten hides behind my legs as I stand up straight and thank them for allowing me to stay at their home.

"It's disrespectful to wear sunglasses in the presence of a Alpha," Jordan says.

I tense at what he says not knowing how to respond to that. I can't take my glasses off and I can't say that I'm a witch so I spit out the first thing that pops into my head.

"My eyes are super sensitive it kind of runs in my family. I mean no disrespect by wearing sunglasses only protection."

Jordan glares and his mother shakes her head.

"Come along dear, I'll show you to your room.  Jordan, Michael, and Chasen will bring your bags up," Luna Lite says opening the door.

I place Quinten on my hip and I follow her into the house. We get into the elevator and she presses the button that says Alpha Suit in bold letters. The ride is quick and we leave the elevator without a word. We stop in front of the door that's next to a room that is surrounded by my mates scent. I turn to the Luna with a brow raised and she sends me a sly smile.

"This is the room you and the little cutie will sleep in," she says with a smile.

"Thank you Luna," I say walking into the ginormous room.

"No problem dear and please call me Amber. I'll leave you to yourself to get everything ready the pack usually has dinner around seven."

The Luna then leaves and I decide to freshen up. I open my door to see all my bags stacked in front of it. I quickly drag everything into my room and just leave it in the middle of the floor for now. Going through my suitcases I pick out a romper that shows off my small baby bump and some overalls for Quinten. 

"Boo bits you ready for a bath?" I ask bringing Quinten into what I think is a bathroom.

He shakes his head and try's to run pass me and out the door but I'm not having that. I lift him up and place him on the counter. I then run him some bath water and check the temperature. When I think it's cool enough I help him undress and place him in the water. He splashes around for awhile then I bathes him. After he's all dressed and clean I sit him in front of the tv then I  hop in the shower.

Now that we've both freshen up I start to unpack I place all our clothes in the dressers and closet, I put his toys in a little play pen, and I hang up all our pictures. The last thing I do is hide my daggers under the bed.

I look at the clock and it reads six-thirty. Throwing on my shades I put a movie in for Quinten and then leave the room in search for Luna Amber.

I finally find her in her office with twenty minutes before dinner. When I tell her I need to speak with her she ushers me in and tells me to take a seat. I was never good at starting conversations especially important ones so when she asked me what I needed my mind went blank. She looked at me waiting for me to say something with a smile on her face.

I panicked, I wasn't thinking straight and I just pulled them off my face. I watched with my changing color eyes as her smile slowly slips off her face, her eyes widen, and a gasp leaves her lips.

"Y-y-your e-eyes. Why d-do they do that? W-what's wrong with you?" She stutters out.

I take a deep breath and get ready to once again spill my life story to her. After quickly summing it up and telling her I'm a witch hybrid a smile comes back to her face just not as big as before.

"So your a one of a kind Elemental witch hybrid thingy and your powers were unlocked because you meet my son who's your mate and he was supposed to protect you and he doesn't even want you so now you don't know what to do."

"Yes."

"I'm not to sure about all this," she says softly.

"Please Amber I don't have anywhere else to go I'm learning to control it," I say with pleading eyes.

She gives me a small smile that shows her uncertainty,"What's your element?"

"Darkness," I answer.

"Darkness! Nope, I'm sorry but I don't do evil," she says shaking her head.

"No it's not what you think. It's literally darkness like shadows an and light," I add quickly.

"What type of stuff can you do with it?"

"I can control shadows and Astro travel," I say leaving out the part of sucking out a light source.

"You can stay but the second that something doesn't feel right you're going to have to find somewhere else to go," she says looking me in the eye, "We don't have a lot of time to call a meeting, we'll have to announce this at dinner, which is about to start. Come on let's go get that little cutie and eat," she says that bright smile back on her face.

That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be either.

As soon as we sat down in the pack starts to grab at food like they've been starved their whole life. I didn't wait much either and dived into the crowd grabbing two plates and filling them with food. When I was satisfied with the amount of food I walked over and sat next to Quinten handing him the smaller plate.

About thirty minutes into dinner the Luna announces she needs to tell the pack something. Everyone listens as she begins to talk.

"Our future Luna is very special. Not only is she a wolf but a witch to and a very special one at that. Now I know a lot of you probably don't like this but it doesn't matter because it does not change the fact that she was made for my son or the fact that she will be your next Luna.

She pauses and you can hear the start of whispers. People glance my way then there lips start to move as they speak to one another. But it all dies down when the Alpha stands up.

"Please come forward Jamie and show us what my dear wife means."

His voice echoes through out the whisper filled room successfully silencing the dining hall. All eyes are on him as if they were afraid to go elsewhere. I stood up tense and took slow steps towards the head of the table where the Alpha's family sat. The Alpha's face was void of any emotion while Jordan was glaring and his mother was giving me a reassuring smile.

When I reach the head of the table I clear my throat and all eyes go to me.

"Luna Lite was right I'm a hybrid. I am part werewolf and part elemental witch. My element is darkness, no that does not mean I'm evil but I can do a lot of different things with shadows. My eyes change color and if I'm feeling a very strong emotion my eyes stay on the color that matches that emotion. I'm the only elemental witch left and I'm supposed to be a secret no one in my other pack knows. I ask that you please keep my secret a secret and that's all." I finish my speech by taking off my sunglasses.

Gasps come from all around the room and I try not to roll eyes I mean I just told these people my eyes change color so why are they surprise.

The rest of the dinner goes by somewhat normal. Lots of people came up to me and asked questions or just introduced themselves a lot of little kids gave me things and Quinten even made some friends. When eight-thirty came around me and Quinten retired to bed.

*3 Weeks later*

I've been at Sheer Shadow pack for three weeks now. Things are good I guess. I haven't seen Jordan but words going around that he left with the pack warriors to help train a smaller pack. Rumors also say that they're helping because packs are being attacked be rouges more recently just like mine. Everyday around two me and a group of pack members go to a field and practice with my element. Quinten is warming up to the pack and stays with Luna Amber most of the time. The only person I've talked to from my old pack is July and we don't talk long because she just started camp.

Right now I'm getting ready for a doctors appointment for the baby. Luna Amber told me that since it's a Alpha I could learn the sex of the baby now but I'm not sure if I want to know. She also offered to come along with but I politely declined her offer. It was just going to be me Quinten and the baby today.

"This might be a little cold," Mrs. Heather says.

I just nod while she squeezes the cold gel onto my baby bump. I watch as she turns around to get the wand thing and Quinten moves closer to me, just as he goes to put his fingers in the gel she swats his hand away and I laugh at his little pouting face.

"Where's the baby?" He says loudly.

"In my tummy," I reply.

"You ate it!" He shouts and his eyes water.

I can't help the loud laugh that leaves my lips when I look at his face. My whole body shakes with laughter as Mrs. Heather joins me and Quinten with a very confused look on his face sits down in a chair.

"N-no I d-didn't eat it t-that's where b-baby's grow,"  I say between breaths.

"Pants on fire," he says with his arms crossed. I think he trying to call me a liar but I just shrug my shoulders and let Mrs. Heather get to work.

She moves the wand thing around my stomach and then stops a few inches to the left of my belly button. A loud thump sound fills the room and she lets me know that that's my baby's heartbeat.

A emotion I've never felt before or wouldn't even be able to explain washes over me. I just knew that my eyes were staying on one color and I couldn't even tell you the meaning of that color if you asked. All I knew was that it was real. This was happening, I was going to be a mother. Something was growing inside of me and it was mine. My baby and no one could take them away.

I felt my wolf Nadia come forward slightly taking control and place my hand on top of my stomach as if saying she accepts the baby. A strong urge to protect and care for my child grow inside of me and Mrs. Heather smiled like she knew what just happened.

"I thought that would do the trick. Every time a she wolf comes in here pregnant the wolf tries to take over to make sure it's safe and if it doesn't then it more than likely means the wolf hasn't accepted the pup. It's rare but it happens." She explains to me.

I just nod my head and wait for her to tell me some more information.

"You and your pup are perfectly heathy. Everything seems to be going right and you should be going into labor around October the seventh. Would you like to know the sex of the baby?"

I take awhile to reply because I really don't know if I want to know. I don't take a second longer then answer.

"Yes."

"You're having a-"

I'm sorry if the chapter's really short it's more of a filler. It's just letting you know what life's like at the new pack. But don't worry next chapter will have a little bit of Jamie and Jordan in it. Plus there might be a new character or two to spice it up a bit.
