Logan noticed the small tear that silently fell from Patton's eyes. He reached over with his thumb and gently swiped his thumb across it to make it disappear. Patton turned and smiled weakly at the logical facet and Logan returned it.

A thought crossed Logan's mind and he couldn't help but smile at it. He set the paper aside and stood up, then reached his hand out for Patton. The moral side raised an eyebrow as he wiped another tear away. But nevertheless, he took Logan's hand and stood up as well. He was immediately pulled into a deep hug.

To say that Patton was surprised was an understatement. He was baffled. Logan hugged him?

Unknown to him though, Logan believed that the act of hugging was completely logical. It strengthens bonds, immune systems, serotonin levels, and decreases the risks of diseases and illnesses. They relax muscles, which in turn reduces stress. Additionally, it rids the feeling of loneliness, isolation, and anger.

Patton slowly wrapped his arms around Logan's torso and smiled into his shoulder. Silent tears spilled from his eyes and soaked Logan's shirt, but he didn't care at all. He simply continued to hug Patton. Thirty seconds went by, then a full minute, then two. Eventually, Patton began to calm down. Logan could almost feel Patton grow lighter. The father figure hugged the intellectual tighter and in turn, so did Logan.

They didn't have to say a word. Patton knew he wasn't alone. He knew Logan didn't mean to upset him. He knew they were all just having a rough day after hearing the news about Thomas's brother. And he didn't blame them for that.

Logan had lost track of how long they had been in each others' arms. Five minutes maybe? Who knows. He slowly removed his arms and took a step back. He smiled kindly at Patton and Patton returned it.

"I'm glad you're back," Logan said. Patton smirked.

"Glad my back is what? Finish your sentences, Logan," Patton giggled. Logan rolled his eyes. Yup, Patton was back to normal.
