Logan stood. "I'll go try again."

"Don't knock on his door," Virgil suggested. "As much as it violates his privacy, he wouldn't let you into his room otherwise. Plus, if he... ya know..."

"Yes, I understand," Logan nodded. Virgil gave him his signature two-finger salute before Logan sank out and into Patton's room. Patton jumped in surprise at his presence.

"What are you doing here?" Patton nearly shouted. Logan tried to keep his face soft, yet blank. He took a single glance around the room and immediately noticed a change. There was a shattered picture frame on the floor below his shelf. Logan was fairly certain he had thrown something at it. Additionally, stuffed animals littered the floor, as well as pillows. Patton himself was wrapped up in maybe twelve blankets with a tissue box beside him on his bed. Only his head stuck out of it as if children had buried him in beach sand.

Logan sighed, ignoring Patton's question for the time being. He strode over to a trashcan in the room and collected the tissues on the bed. He then began walking around, picking up the stuffed animals, and setting them on Patton's bed around him. He then picked up the pillows and stacked them neatly at the edge of the bed, unsure as to how Patton normally had them placed. Then he walked over to the picture, crouching down beside the glass shards. He carefully lifted up the frame and admired the picture that was inside.

Thomas stood in front of Cinderella's castle at Disney World. To his left stood Roman and Virgil, who both looked very excited. On his right were Logan and Patton. Patton was ecstatic to be there and Logan had a small smile on his face. Disney was the proclaimed "happiest place on earth." Even Remus and Deceit stood in the photo off to the side, out of Thomas's field of view. Thomas had a picture just like this in his bedroom, but it only had him in it. In this picture, the sides were transparent, as if someone had turned down the opacity in the picture to feature predominantly Thomas and the castle. The sides were simply add-ons to the picture. But Patton seemed to treasure it.

However, the photo now had small tears in it from the glass and it was a bit faded from age. Thomas had to have been about eighteen in the picture, meaning it had been taken approximately twelve years ago.

As Logan admired it, Patton looked at it with such a sad phase. His face almost contorted into one of pain, seeing it ruined by his careless actions. Logan looked up at him, then back down at the photo. He snapped his fingers and the glass shards on the floor disappeared with a soft indigo glow. He then stood and sat beside Patton on the bed.

"Do you remember this day?" Logan asked him. He had an idea formulating in his head.

"Like it was y-yesterday," Patton sniffed. "Roman and Virgil were so happy that day, but if you had asked Virgil, he would have denied it in a heartbeat. Even Deceit seemed to enjoy it. Remus and Roman got along for the first time in ages that day. I was really happy, too. I got to hang out with you guys and it was so fun. Even you smiled most of the day. But Thomas was especially happy. It was his graduation present from his parents. He was gonna be leaving for college the next day and he was so happy to have gone to hang out with his family before he left."

Logan gave a soft smile, recalling bits and pieces of the memory from his own mind. He had just the information he needed.

Logan looked over to Patton and closed his eyes, touching two fingers to the side of Patton's head. Patton was so confused. But then, after Logan's eyes opened, the picture began glowing indigo and light blue. When it disappeared, the picture looked like it had just been taken seconds before. Patton gasped as Logan handed it back.

"How did you do that?" Patton whispered, reaching his hands out from his half-effective sand grave to grab the photo.

Logan was about to explain how he actually did it, but then he remembered what Roman had told him. "Magic," Logan replied simply. Patton smirked, handing it back to Logan. Logan placed the photo back where it belonged. As he fixed it, he decided to think about how he should go about this. Should he apologize first, or should he continue with what he was doing: distracting Patton from the situation at hand?
