It's been a week and still nothing from Natsu, Lucy had been going on solo missions since then

And still has heard nothing from Natsu

'Just give up you were always alone anyway' her mind kept telling her. Negative thoughts consumed her mind like harsh waves trying to pull her in.

She didn't want it to be true she was wishing it wasn't true, But she thought she knew Natsu would never love her.

Oh how she was wrong, So wrong.

Lucy opened the guild halls and saw Natsu fighting with Gray

She sighed and went up to him grabbing his arm and dragging him out the guild

Gray didn't say anything back for he knew about everything so he shrugged it off and headed to the bar only to get captured by Juvia

Lucy took Natsu to the side of the guild. Natsu felt awkward but Lucy's face held no emotions

"Natsu, I'm done" she spoke

Natsu's head whipped up looking at her

'what? Why did it hurt when she said that?' The fire dragon slayer thought

"Either you choose me or lose me, I'm not a back up plan or a second choice" Lucy spoke once again

Natsu couldnt express how he felt. These new emotions he couldnt grasp them. Guilt ? Pain? Shock? Or maybe all at once ? He didnt know.

"And I definitely won't wait around for someone who will never feel the same for me, so this is a goodbye we are no longer bestfriends or anything but just people who had known each other, gomene" Lucy smiled softly before walking away. She wouldnt show her pain to him. Never Ever.

The farther she got from him the more tears slowly flowed down her angelic face.

Natsu felt like his whole world had just crashed

Natsu walked back into the guild a gloomy ora consumed him. Happy saw his depressed face and came up to him
"Nassu what's wrong?" He asked

Natsu smiled weakly "L-lucy a-and i-i a-arent b-bestfriends a-anymore" he stuttered trying not to break down

Everyone in the guild stopped in their tracks and gasped

"And why is that?" The Matchmaking demon clearly pissed

"I don't know, b-but w-why d-does it h-hurt more then anything i-ive ever f-felt?" He sobbed

"Tell us Natsu, how do you feel about lucy?" Gray asked

"W-what?, Well she's m-my bestfriend of course!" He exclaimed

Gray shook his head not satisfied with Natsu's words

"Then Natsu" Erza said speaking up getting what Gray was trying to hint at

Natsu's gaze turned towards the red headed knight type girl

"Tell me does your heart hurt?" She asked

Natsu nodded 'how did she know'

Erza smiled "then she's more then just a bestfriend to you"

Natsu looked at her stupid
'i wouldn't be having these problems if she was but she's not!'

"What d-do you m-mean she's only nakama!" Natsu said

Mira couldn't much longer take his stupidness

Everyone in the guild was watching as if it was some drama teen TV show

"How about this Natsu" Mira said speaking up

Natsu's attention now turned towards her

"What if? Lucy got a new guyfriend"

Natsu felt a tug in his heart
'She doesn't need him she has me!'

"That she felt more then a friend with him?"

Natsu felt a piece of his heart leave him
'Wha what?'

"That she willingly let him sleep in her oh so comfortable bed"

Natsu felt half of his heart sink into his stomach
'No....no no no no NO! THATS MY PLACE!"

"That she would want to spend the rest of her life with him"

Natsus heart was now crumbled into pieces
'Why? WHY HIM? When... theres ME!'

"And guess what?" She smirked

Everyone's eyes were on the white haired demon

Natsu looked like an, ant in front of a giant

Everyone had none lumps in there throats trying to gulp it down for her next words they knew would kill Natsu's heart

'good thing Lisanna isn't here' Mira thought right before saying her last words

"That guy isn't you Natsu Dragneel " she finished

BOOOM

That was Natsu's heart being destroyed. Completely blowing up and not even a spec of dust being left behind.

The only thing that could be heard in the guild was Natsu's loud sobs

"WHY? WHY? WHY?" He questioned them all not knowing why it hurt it so

"Because you love her" Mira smiled sweetly

Natsu stopped sobbing "love her?" Mira nodded

Everyone in the guild smiled
'hes finally growing up'

Natsu without a second thought dashed his way towards his Lucy

It all made sense now this whole time he had felt the same

But is it to late?.

Never ever.
