Avery's POV

I woke up with swollen eyes and a slight headache; I checked the time and realised it was 10:35a.m and I had over 25 missed calls from Mia, Ziri and I.B.

'Gosh, what's wrong with me' then I suddenly remembered what happened and I screamed out of anger in my pillow then I calmed down and went to drink water.

I stayed in my bed feeling extremely lazy; I grabbed my Samsung tablet and watched a Netflix series till I heard a knock on my door.

ZIRI's POV

'Wake up Babe' were the first words I heard as I rolled around in my bed.

'It's too early' I grumbled as I covered my face with a pillow.

'Whatever just get up and get dressed you need to go and see your sister that needs you right now' Mia demanded

'What does Zara want again?' I said in a tired voice

'Avery really made the right choice when you officially became her best friend' she said sarcastically as she put her hand on her face.

'Oh!' I said as I rushed to the bathroom.

'Try calling her!' I shouted from the bathroom.

'I did before you woke up' she said

'Okay' I said as I quickly had my bath.

'She hasn't picked up any of her calls and I'm worried' she said

'Says the person that told me to trust her a little' I said

'Yes but a lot of time has passed; do fast!' she screamed

'Okay, I'm almost done and can you please give me a towel unless you want to see something special' I teased her.

'No thank you I'm good' she said

I laughed at my trick and I knew she was blushing.

I quickly dressed up and we left the house without any breakfast.

We stopped at a fast food joint to get something to eat for ourselves and Avery. I knew that whenever Avery was upset she would either not eat at all or stuff herself with junk food which she wouldn't want to considering her insecurities about her body.

We finally got to her house and knocked and the Avery that opened up was really messed up. Her face was messed up, she had swollen eyes and her hair was scattered plus she was still in shorts and sweater.

'Hello, good morning' was the first thing she said

I was still in shock and Mia replied

'Good morning; guess who brought breakfast' she said as she tapped me back.

'Come in; how are you'

'I'm not fine' I said as I carried her on my shoulder and walked in; Mia shut the door behind us.

'Your house is so clean but your all messed up; what have you been up to?' I asked trying not to sound so serious.

'Just Netflix'

'When did you wake up?' I asked

'Not too long ago' she replied as she lay down on the couch.

'You had me worried you know' I said looking towards Mia's direction as she set the table for breakfast.

I saw her rolling her eyes and I laughed a little at her action.

'Alright, Avery, go and brush let's have breakfast' she said as she walked towards our direction.

'It's okay, you guys can eat without me' she said

'Don't tell me you're seriously allowing that stupid scandal to ruin your day?' Mia asked Avery.

'No it's just that I don't feel so good' she replied

Mia walked up to Avery and said

'What happened to that Avery that gave Christie a hot slap and still held her ground; honestly if you keep up with this I would be seriously disappointed with you' Mia said almost pissed off.

She calmed down and said "So are you hungry?"

'I'm coming' grumpy Avery said as she walked sluggishly to the Bathroom.

'What's up Babe' I asked

'We need Avery to snap out of this trance she's putting herself into' she said

'And that' why we're here so cheer up; I would love to see your reaction when our daughter starts having mood swings' I teased

She felt embarrassed and hit me with a pillow then apologized because of the bandage on my head.

'I love you' I said as I kissed her cheek

'Leave me' she laughed

'Okay, can you guys stop making me jealous and come let's eat' said Avery as we turned and saw her.

'Oh don't worry I didn't hear much' she winked

We all went to the dining and sat down.

'Oh my gosh you guys brought Pancakes and hollandia yoghurt! Thank you so much'

'I never realised how much I've been hungry till now' she said

'Mia why did we even answer this human being; we should have left her' I said

'Says someone who was practically crying himself to sleep because of her' Mia teased back

Avery suddenly burst into laughter and almost choked on her pancakes but didn't mind;

'What ' I asked as she was seriously laughing

'Thank you Mia for making her feel high of herself' I rolled my eyes and laughed a little.

'We love you too' Avery replied smiling.

After breakfast Avery and Mia cleaned up as we started discussing.

We decided to tell Mia about Avery's weird job.

'And that's why you made up the excuse of getting your car on Friday' Mia concluded

'Yeah, I know its weird right?' I said

'It's kind of cute; I just pray you find love and happiness through it' she teased her

'Then he'll have to go through me' I smiled

'And that isn't happening to me anytime soon' I said

'Don't be so sure Avy' I teased

'Says the person that was ready to beat up the next guy that would have eyes for me a few seconds ago'

Mia started laughing uncontrollably.

'Between Avery and Zara I wonder who you quarrel with most' she said

'You should see Avery and Ayden quarrelling one of these days' I scoffed.

'Whatever' she said.

Now-'

Our Conversation was interrupted by a phone call.

Avery picked up her phone.

'Hello'

'Yes, this is she; how can I help you'

'Oh okay, what time'

'It's fine'

'Bye' she said as she cut the call but her mood changed a little.

'What happened' I asked out of curiosity

'The Estate management wants me to see them concerning what happened yesterday and he said I could bring a witness' she said

'Everything is going to be okay we're here for you' Mia assured her.

'Thank you' she said

'Now go and get ready I can't stand your current appearance at the moment' I said not making eye contact with her because she was already imagining different things she would want to do to me at that moment.
