Imagine Alec's outfit as that 👆

Friday arrived and Chizzy told me to dressing red and black which I did. I dressed up mostly in black and I wasn't comfortable in red so Chizzy didn't mind. I wore skinny jeans, a black shirt that showed off my muscles and a black Jacket; It was going to be cold so I didn't wear it immediately. We arrived there early because Chizzy had something to do.

I wasn't in the mood to go in yet and the hall wasn't ready so I went strolling; I saw a young lady who was small compared my height but  was really hot and had those attractive features that could make a guy lose his sanity; I noticed she was lost in thoughts so I tapped her back to reality and smiled at her. She snapped back and wanted to say something when she turned and noticed me. I noticed she was staring and registering my features. It was cute and I actually liked it although it was creepy but I didn't mind.

On the outside she was really sexy but I felt she was hiding her true self behind that heavy makeup. My sister always did that whenever she wanted to go for a party in case any video was recorded against her it would be easy to deny it or get away with it or when she wanted to go clubbing in school.

I couldn't think of a better way to talk to her so I just asked

"Hello, is everything alright? I am sorry to intrude but do you know where I can check into the hotel" I said in a serious but polite tone.

She answered me politely; I tried to make her laugh and flirt with her a little bit

"For a hot sexy lady like you, you shouldn't be here confusing us men around" I smirked trying to make her blush but got something else I never expected.

"What? You men are same no difference at all" she said in anger as she walked briskly and angrily towards the hotel.

I started walking after her. "No, I didn't mean it that way I j-" she cut me off

"Leave me alone or else I'll start trouble here" she said in an angry tone as she continued going into the hotel. I stopped following her but I was a little confused. I wasn't really offended because she wasn't in a good mood for starters.

"Guy, where have you been? And who was that hot chick you were running after? Chizzy said as he came to me.

"She's just someone who was in a hurry to do something at the hotel" I lied not wanting him to know what truly happened between us.

"Okay, but you look like you've seen an angel in black" he smiled like the idiot he already was.

I stayed at the restaurant in the hotel with Chizzy and Abbey; we had some snacks while we waited for the hall to get set. We were conversing but I couldn't help but think about the incident that took place not too long ago.

I found it weird and I'm not being proud but this was the first time in so many years since a woman got offended with what I said especially on first impressions (not that I can remember any).

I didn't mean to offend her that way I just wanted to lighten her mood but I learnt a little lesson.

"Yo, Kal, what is he thinking about this evening?" Abbey asked as I came back to reality and noticed she was quietly studying me.

"He's probably thinking of that hot chick he was unable to charm" Chizzy said while taking a sip of his sprite.

"Mad oh!" Abbey shouted and attracted attention from other others in the restaurant then she hid her face out of embarrassment.

"I'm so sorry, so how did you do it? Tell me every detail" she asked in curiosity.

"Did I tell you his charm didn't work out this time?" Chizzy said spoiling the moment that never surfaced.

"Oh, so sorry but cheer up, you'll meet other chicks at the party so it's nothing for you to worry about. Don't let her ruin this evening besides she doesn't know what she just missed"

"I know its weird but she's so different from the rest and I don't know why but-"

"Kael, this isn't California, this is Nigeria; things are different around here, you guys might never have a thing so just forget about her and move on; that is what you're going to do during this party". Chizzy said interrupting me after I interrupted him.

"I agree with him and Kal, since you are going to answer Kelenna at your work place and to avoid any scandals I think its best you to go by your middle name, Alec" Abbey said.

"True you don't want any obsessed girl coming to you for some abnormal and stupid accusations to get close to you or take advantage of your status" Chizzy said.

"Okay I will; its not as if I'll tell some complete strangers about myself anyway" I said

"Nobody knows the future" Abbey said as well all got ready to go to the hall. We settled our bills and went to the hall but they asked me to wait outside for them because they wanted to handle something. Chizzy came out to get me; the party had already started because I heard music in the hall .

The minute Chizzy and I stepped in; I heard a loud cheer from the crowd. It was surprising and exciting but crazy. I knew Chizzy was planning a party but I didn't think it was going to be so serious. I was a party guy but Chizzy was above my level.

I saw some of my former classmates and friends that were still in Abuja; they came with their friends and we all interacted. The music was crazy as usual; it'd been so long since I enjoyed the unique afro beat of Nigerian songs here.

I spent the evening getting contacts of my former classmates and old friends; some girls tried talking to me and we all hit it off but my stupid mind was still on that lady.

Some girls tried making me drink with them but I wasn't in the mood;  Chizzy had already beaten me to it and one of us needed to be in our right senses to drive us home. A few pestered me to drink and failed many times with no success and I was just frustrated; the minute you get drunk, straight to business and you can never trust some persons. I badly needed to get out of this situation.

"Yo, Alec, come and join me let's make a song request" Chizzy said. (Thank you lord) I said in my head.

"Yeah, why not? Let's go" I said I I quickly left the girl trying to seduce me and went straight to the DJs.

"Guy, I'm thinking of an energetic Nigerian song that can get me a nice sexy grind and maybe you too" he said.

"Effects of alcohol" I mumbled.

"What did you say" he asked

"Nothing and whatever, all I know is that I'm happy I'm no longer with that weird girl over there" in a non challant tone.

"Can we make it quick" I said as we both walked over to the DJ standing there.

"Hey, you're new here?" Chizzy said

"Yeah, we just started today, I hope you're enjoying it" the DJ said.

"Of course we are; by the way, we would love to make a song request" he continued.

"No problem I just need DJ AIVY ro come back; when should we play it?" the DJ asked

"In 6 minutes time, I need to get myself a babe. What's your stage name?" Chizzy asked

"DJ ALC"

"Nice one, I can't wait to meet DJ AIVY" he said as he went to find a babe".

"Hey! Nice job!" I said out loud

"Thank you!" he replied

"I hope you don't mind, I'm trying to avoid some persons over there!" I said to him.

"No I don't its okay" he said

Before I said my next word, I saw a familiar figure coming towards our direction.

He said to her as she picked up her headphones

"Hey AIVY, put up Nobody by DJ Neptune; it's a special request.

"Okay, let me just get my head-" she froze as she turned around and our eyes met.....................................
