The kingdom of Eden is split into many areas, called sectors. These sectors live in peace with one another. Eden is ruled by a King, George Verrily. Most see him as a cold, unforgiving ruler. They see his wife, Alyssa Verrily, as a kind woman who could never hurt a soul. The King and Queen have five beautiful children. Each has an important role that they play for the Kingdom of Eden. For the eldest, Marie, that is promoting the military's strength and power. For the next oldest, Thomas, his job is to keep the sectors united by choosing a bride from one of the twenty-one sectors residing in Eden. For the youngest three children, Claire, Lucy, and William, the task is simple: keep the public satisfied and be the face of the royal family.

But what if all is not what it seems? Will there be betrayal, bloodlust, love, death, marriage? Perhaps another kingdom will attack? Who knows? Only time will tell.
