It's been a week already, mom's summer line in Paris has been successful, we came back to town on Saturday, Darwin and Daniella were the first to welcome me which was not so surprising but what was surprising was that Elsa, Carly and Ray most especially was not  with them, remembering the fact that they constantly killed my battery through out my family vacation, just  to remind me how much they miss me and to make sure to come to school the time I promised.

Daniella explained to me that Diana's parents are having a dinner party and she invited the jocks and and the girls to appreciate them for being so nice to her since she transferred to our school.

"ohhh I see" I nodded to her explanation.

"And you and Darwin why are you not there with them?"I had to ask

"I was until Jessica fell into one of her panic  attacks after ruining my dress by accident though, it was so beautiful.... "

"Oh no,I'm so sorry is she ok?"I gasped

"yes now she is,......."

"Thank God" Daniella and I signed simultaneously

"And Nanny? "I asked

"she went grocery shopping at that time, leaving just the two of us and I had to take care of my sister, I called Diana to inform her I won't  be able to make it" she explained

"Oh poor Jessica" I signed

Jessica is Daniella's only surviving sibling, they were triplet but the first before Jessica, was a still born and Baby Daniella was the weaker one  her parents feared they will lose her too, cause she always fell sick of which resulted her to have a different eye color from the rest of the family, she had a clear green eye color from the rest of the family brown or blue eyes making her totally different from the rest of them, rumors had it that she was adopted but it was proven to be false with the resemblance of Jessica and Daniella, only that Jessica was more mature in looks to Daniella's  baby face,but when they turned three Daniella's health stabilized.

Jessica is the happy, cheerful and loving elder sister you could ever dream of,but things changed after her kidnap, she was brutally treated by her kidnappers, almost losing her thumb when they was a slight delay in delivering the ransom money, and also almost rapped by one of the kidnappers in her attempt to run  away thankfully the police shot the criminal dead on top of her before he was able to do any thing to her.
The police rescued an intact Jessica though she had bruises, a swollen face, and some broken bones but she was in one piece and when I mean one piece,one very traumatized,insecure,scared and sad piece. I felt so bad for her that was the worst period for all of us we were ruled by fear of who was next our parents hired body guards and we were advised by our parents to always move together and do everything together like a team, well the good thing was that we became closer than ever we were almost  inseparable, since then Daniella, Carly, Elsa, Jessica and I became best of friends, though Jessica was reserved and kept to her self.

It took quite some time for Jessica to recover she undergone so much therapy to get better but that didn't stop the panic attacks the doctor said it is normal considering she went through a lot but adviced she should always be around good company, people that will always encourage her and show her the brighter side of life,the positive side, for quick recovery.

"And you Darwin… "

"Don't even remind me Kris my case is a bummer, of all the days coach could have insisted on a make up practice"

"Let me guess, you missed practice again, didn't you? Darwin you are the school soccer team captain you can't just....... "

"hey like it was my fault, Diana tripped on the the stairs, it was a good thing I caught her before she could hurt her self more but she sprain her ankle and I had to bring her to the nurse" Darwin scowled and whined. I mentally laughed always the knight in shiny armor.

"A heroic deed you know, Darwin you are a hero, we were so grateful for what you  did for her" Daniella said to him.

"Yeah right I missed practice and not to mention missing the chance to meet her parents, earning a make up practice with my Saturday for a sprain that vanished when the nurse touched her ankle"
Daniella burst out laughter in my confused state my mouth seems to work on their own accord as it joined Daniella, we were both laughing our asses out, while Darwin just sat at the couch scowling at us.

"Stop laughing already it's not funny"

"what?! Darwin you can't be serious?" I said trying to sound serious but failed woefully

"he is serious Kris, seems like Diana's serious ankle was not that serious, you know those kind of sprain  that hurts at the Initial time"
She turns to Darwin sitting next to her 
"but the good thing is you got to be with her and take care of her even if it was for a little while, you even got to carried her bridal style"

"Yeah and it felt damn good, she is almost as light as a feather, and her skin?... It looks delicate and smooth up close, huh...... It's so soft and......."

"OK Darwin we get it" I chuckled as a still daydreaming Darwin signs

I felt very happy for Darwin but a little part of me felt uncomfortable and worried for him, but I shrugged it aside.

"wow I still can't believe the famous Diana Stones is our new classmate, friend and Darwin's crush, I can't wait to meet her" I said with pure anticipation

"Oh she is a girl like you so nice and cute, you will love her, I think you guys will be BFF's like the princess and the pauper in no time," Daniella said.
"yeah good for you, you guys are really similar no though you will be good friends but she seems to be irritated by me" Darwin said with a fallen shoulders and a sad look on his face, I think my heart is broken

"That's not true she felt so bad that Darwin "the boy who saved her life" as she calls you will not be able to meet her parents, I think you has finally found his long awaited love, I think she likes you as much as you like her Elsa even saw her checking you out once...."

"Really?!" I  asked surprised as I looked at a very wide eyed Darwin cutting Daniella short on her cupid speech

"Yeah" a very excited Daniella answered

"Well I am Great, girls can't help but check me out" Darwin said proudly like he has solved a very difficult puzzle

"Oh shut up Darwin you are so full of yourself" I threw a pillow at his face

"But why is she so irritated by me then? "

" I think she is just playing a bit hard to get, you know coming to a new school and getting into a relationship when you are barely a week old there with a guy you just met looks cheap, to girls like Diana Stones and they are the last people to call cheap so it's understandable that she will gives you a hard time, she is a typical Queen bee after all,so it normal in their world"

"Wow....... "Darwin and I comments with surprise looks

" Since when did you become a relationship expert Daniella? " I had to ask

" Yeah wow thanks for the tip I will make shall to buy you lunch if it works out" Darwin said sheepishly, he's so adorable.

"Yah free lunch I will sure remind you about that, Good thing our friends are there to represent us huh and speaking of friends Ray was reluctant to go he wanted to stay behind and welcome you, but since  Diana is so fond of him he couldn't miss it, it was a bummer for him, I can still remember his grumpy look, the poor guy" Daniella told us bursting into laughter soon joined by Darwin, my insides couldn't help the backflips when I heard his name and a smile stretched from ear to ear as the little disappointment I felt before vanished knowing he will rather forgo the dinner party to wait for me.

"Look at you lovebird,Wow that smile is a big one" Daniella said playfully approaching me I quickly got up from the couch to take cover behind it knowing her next move is to pinch my cheeks.

"Why won't she? My boy is awesome he rocks her world good" Darwin said proudly stretching out on the couch
"Shut up Darwin" I gasped he can be so embarrassing at times.

"That was so perverty of you" Daniella smacks the back of his head,Daniella and her vocabulary I mentally laughed

"Ouch that hurt" Darwin whined rubbing his head

"Well look at the bright side we were able to welcome you home,Welcome back Christabel! I missed you so much" she said ignoring Darwin and pulling me into a bear hug

"Hey what about me I missed you too you know" Darwin half whined sitting straight

"Then get over here you big baby" I chuckled

"Nah I don't do those mushy stuff" he said as he straight again on the couch like a king

Daniella and I exchanged knowing looks

"Group hug!" we both shouted excitedly as we jumped on a very surprised Darwin messing with his hair.
