When they step into school the next day, because Harry is told his suspension has been lifted because a certain someone claimed it was their fault and not Harry's, it felt different, but in a great way.

With their hands entwined as they walked down the halls, no one looking at them, no more glares. Although Louis wouldn't have cared either way, because he had Harry's hand entwined with his.

Niall walked up to them, but didn't comment, he only said hi to Lou, and started a conversation with Harry. Liam came up as well, and behind him, silent, and hesitant was Zayn. But Harry and Louis glanced at each other, and Louis said something sarcastic, while Harry jokingly exclaimed why Zayn was so shy all of a sudden, and it should have felt odd. But, it didn't.

The five of them laughing, and talking, as if the whole previous year hadn't been full of drama. Niall exclaiming that he rarely had seen Harry at all, maybe a few times. And Harry apologized, Liam smiled and shook his head. Louis leaned closer against Harry's chest and smiled to himself.

Everything was going right for once. And when Harry pressed a kiss to Louis' forehead, Louis knew everything was going to be okay.

"And I present to you, the graduating class of 2016!" the director said into the microphone, and music was played as hundreds of hats were thrown into the air.

Louis clapped a hand over his mouth as a couple of tears ran down his cheeks when Harry's green eyes met his. His curls a full on mess from being cramped underneath the cap.

A couple of minutes and the audience was rushing down to congratulate their specific graduates. Louis took his time, eyes on the curls as he made his way over to Harry who hastily had placed his cap back on.

Harry's parents were just a few steps ahead of him, and they engulfed Harry in hugs and kisses. Louis stayed a few footsteps away and gave them their time, until Harry pulled back and kissed his mum on the cheek before walking over to Louis and picking him up easily. Louis laughed as Harry pressed chaste kisses against his neck.

"Congratulations Harold," Louis whispered as Harry set him down.

"Thanks Lou," Harry said, and he hugged him tightly, Louis hugged him just as tight, afraid to let him go. Not until Harry pulled back slightly, and that's when Louis noticed the small black box that Harry was holding tightly in his right hand.

Before Louis could process what was happening Harry was getting down on one knee. "Oh," Louis gasps as the gold band comes in display, nestled in the opened black box. "You're not going to? A-are you gonna propose?" Louis asked.

"No." Harry chuckled, and Louis looked slightly crestfallen, but then Harry was taking Louis' hands within his own. "Not today that is. However, It is a promise ring. In which I promise that no matter what happens, we'll find ways to make it work. It's a promise that I love you, and I'll always only ever be in love with you. You are the one thing that I love the most in this world Louis Tomlinson and I don't ever want anything to ever come in between us. And that's why I'm not going to some fancy university in another country, it's why I'm going to stay here and take classes, maybe even a gap year. Because, yeah, I can always go to a university but there's only ever going to be one Louis Tomlinson and I'm the lucky person who gets to have him and I don't ever want to let him go. I promise that, as long as you let me, I'll always be by your side. Will you?"

And Harry looked so goofy, with his graduation cap and the material of the graduation gown blowing behind him, revealing his white dress shirt and black slacks, little curls just barely showing underneath the cap.

"You're insane, you know that right?" Louis exclaimed through tears, and a shaky voice. He nodded though, and Harry grinned, he stood up and wrapped his arms around Louis.

"I love you." Harry mumbled and he kissed Louis on the cheek.

"I love you." Louis whispered back, Harry slid the ring on to Louis' finger. He held that hand in his hand, and he looked up to meet Louis' blue eyes.

"I mean it, I'll give you the world Lou." Harry stated softly.

"I know, I know you will." And Louis wrapped his arms once more around Harry. "But, we have forever for that. Yeah?"

"Yeah." Harry smiled, and he felt happy. So so happy. Nothing would ever compare to this, to the way he feels as Louis promises to be his.

The cheers and loudness of the crowds as other families congratulated their graduates melted away. Harry only saw Louis, and Louis only saw Harry. Lost in their own little world. As always.

"Kiss me." Louis whispered, Harry chuckled, but he leaned down and pressed his lips sweetly against Louis'. Louis smiled into the kiss, and Harry wrapped his arms tighter around Louis.

"Let's go find the others?" Harry said as he pulls away from the kiss.

"Yeah," and they wave bye to Harry's parents who tell them that they'll wait for them at the restaurant with their reservations. They walked hand in hand, in lookout of Niall and Zayn, both in graduate gowns as well. Soon enough they were found.

And Louis couldn't help but proudly show off his promise ring. Given to him by the one man he truly loves.

And people will call them fools, say that they're too young. How can young people know anything about being in love and making it last forever? But, they don't know LouisandHarry. They don't know that their souls are a married couple of a million years. That the way Harry looks down at Louis holds more love than he could ever show Louis in the time that they live.

Because, how could they? Louis and Harry have yet to see that themselves. But it's there. It's there in the way that they look at each other, like the other holds secrets to the universe. It's there in the way that Harry gently touches Louis, like he could never- like he never will harm him. And Louis, Louis looks up at Harry as a person would look up into the universe, as a person would look up at the stars and the moon on a clear night sky.

They aren't fools. They are in love, to put it in simple terms. But their souls and heart are connected in something more intimate, and something that any other human being would kill to have. And HarryandLouis are lucky to have found it so early in life, and in each other.

Harry holds onto Louis, never wanting to let him go. And Louis, never wants to leave his arms.

Call them fools if you wish, but they're in love and they're happy, and no one will ever take that away from them.
