it was the goodbye before he left to go to the maze. "i'm coming back don't forget cho chang, i will always come back for you, and after all of this ends it'll just be me and you, don't forget about me though if anything goes-""don't talk like that your coming back to me i'm not worried have my scarf its charm it'll protect you. " it actually would against the other students stopping them if they tried to kill him.

"i must return the favor you take mine as well." she wrapped it about his neck and he gave her a deepening kiss "i wont forget about you but promise me you'll return." he nodded handing her his own neck covering he began to leave "cedric i.." love you she had wanted so desperately to tell him his eyes met hers "yes cho?" his eyes were glowing with hope she had not seen at the moment

"i'll be here when you get back, i'll tell you then ." he nodded and left her heart, she felt as though it was already breaking

when they appeared Chon chang just collapsed not only physically but mentally she shut down holding onto his scarf as though that would bring him back she reached out to touch him trying to push through the crowd before her knees collapsed she could barley breath seeing his unmoving unnaturally pale body and glazing eyes she could not break his stare.

her hand met his dead one she whispered begging him to come back though that would not happen no magic in the world could do that just as no magic in the world could fix her heart. as though nothing had happened. the girl picked up the scarf that he had last worn and the one that she had been holding and left the group of chaos, tears still silently streaming down her face.

she cried during the night and till the morning but after that she refused to let them see her fall apart almost a year later when she began to take an interest in Harry she even convaid in him that she still missed him she never told him that she still loved him. that entire year after his death was hell she woke up the day after he passed finding the last love note he had snuck her he since asking her to the ball had gave her one everyday. him and her had been friends for the longest time had met a year before entering into hogwarts.

she always had thought him handsome not to the point of talking about it to anyone but to the point when he had picked the leaves out of her hair she had blushed.she dreamed that he was picking out rose pettles from her hair kissing her for each one he found she dreamnt he would confess his affections to her but that day never came

later having found out that he had fancied her made her heart ache know if only she had told him or shown more interest there time together could have lasted much longer. Finding the last love note made her heart swell as she was happy to compliment him on his poetry, but then she remembered the things that had occurred the night before.made her break down again.

they had helped her the doctors giving her medicine and pain pills and consoling she tried not to cry when talking about him but it was hard to do since she had loved him.

Draco had told the horrid woman in pink of Cedric so she had began bombarding Cho Chang with false memories. Cedric dying in her arms, sometimes as he did he spout out how he blamed her, hated her, or he even confessed his love for her. The worst ones were about her holding the wand that killed him he begged her sometimes, and though she fought each time he died asking, screaming why.

The one that made her cave was the happy one the night of the goblet of fire last challenge, he had emerged holding on to the port key harry and him laughing and telling them how voldermort was no more, cedric ran up to her and kissed her she melted crying .

"i am here, why are you unhappy?" he wiped off her wet cheeks and kissed her forehead. "i thought i lost you forever, i had the worst thoughts go through my mind. please don't leave me." she held onto him and smiled there she saw them grow old together they had kids and a house everything was perfect and as they reached there prime it happened.

she was holding onto him as they danced in her living room her hair was now streaked with grey and her laugh lines showed. He had a bald spot and wore glasses his hands already showing age spots she held him. and suddenly he stopped looked at her tucking a piece of hair behind her ear before saying in the kindest tone possible.

"you let me die." and with a blink of an eye she was there beck out side the maze, not alone there was a coffin which was just at the entrance held up by a wooden stand making it stand at mid height the cho chang. she covered her mouth and cried. 'no please let this be a nightmare we were happy together please don't let that be him. Her hands were now young and she knew he was dead.

"cho chang let me out." his voice whispered horse and dry. "cedric?" her hand lightly went above the wood feeling it with her fingertips as she touched the side preparing to open it "cho chang his voice was from behind her and she turned to see him almost as he did when returning from the maze just as pale and cold as he had been.

only this time he had a faint smile on his face.

"cedric." her hands reached out for him but he shook his head. "open it." the young girl shook her head "please don't make me i cant have this happen again just stay with me." she begged in a whisper. "open it." he ordered in a stern voice that she had never heard from him . "no-" open it NOW." she shuddered and did as he asked closing her eyes instead of looking. "take a look."

Her eyes opened and she screamed as she saw her own body. she couldn't believe it her hand reached out and she touched her cold flesh pressing slightly her cheek caved in looking like it had begun to be eaten by acid as her entire face seem to melt flies poured out and with them the horrid stench of death.

the girl look away and to the boy she loved the boy who she had grown old with had her childeren with she looked to him for help. "it should of been you that night." with that he held up his wand and struck her dead.

Cho chang opened her eyes screaming. "i can do this all day girl""no please i'll tell you everything."

They all hated her after that none of them had know that pain the pain of seeing the one you had love die countless times sometime by your had and seeing them grow old with you just to have them die once more.

Harry hated her it was a shock since he himself had seen what magic does to people. Cho chang did not mind losing them that much though she had felt the need to be alone after that deal with her own night mares.

a few days before the battle of hogwarts. she had already graduated though she refused to go to it. and she had done nothing with her life. she visited him just as she had all the years after his death. how many was it two...three.

she knelt "look, Cedric i know ever one dies..." she remembered him asking her to the dance between two courtyard columns how happy she was when he did even though she had thought potter handsome she would of said yes to cedric a thousand times before standing him up, even then her heart was becoming his .

"but why was it you who had to why couldn't of anyone else have died..why not me?" her hand touched his gave stone and she remembered touching his shoulder as he kissed her for the first time just before the dance she missed his lips. his hand his face his voice...him

the reaction he had when he saw her in the dress...he called more beautiful then the sirens that visited the school. he said nothing in his wildest dream could prepare to this transformation. and her eyes were his at the dance for the entire night until the sun was beginning to rise "cedric, how am i to breath when you have not breathed in so many years, to laugh i feel as though i am drowning to smile is pain, why did you leave me..i never got to say goodbye."

when he as the kind gentleman that he was walked her to her door she asked him why he asked her and that was when the first real crimson met his cheeks. "i have felt quite a strong connection with you since we have started hogwarts together and i thought this was the perfect place for me to announce my attraction to you since i have not found it in my self to do so before the ball was announced." he looked down at his shoes. "cedric, i liked you to i was simply to shy and afraid you would not like me back."

"cedric i will see you again." cedric retired into the raven claw commons and Cho, after changing into her pajamas snuggle up to his chest. "i don't want this day to end." she murmured. "we shall have many more like it in the future i swear it to you."

Another one of his lies.

"if i die tomorrow promise to be the one that guides me to the other side." she set the braided scarves on to the dirt which laid before his grave stone before she headed to the port key that night she would prepare for her last day alive.

in her dreams she remembered the night after the lake challenge she cleaning up his wounds and him drying off his hair. he held her to keep her warm and kissed her softly calming the storm of worries inside of her " do not fret lady chang (a nick name he had given her) i shan't be leaving you any time soon." she had to kiss him as he began a sonnet of his own creating. "they could hear you you know that right." the man tilted his head looking up at her.

"I don't hear anything." she was turned over onto the sheets and he was now above her. "cedric knock it off. " the girl stiffeled her laugh. "after all of this is over i want you to meet my father-""i already have remember." the girl rolled her eyes as he began to tickle her

"i mean spend time with him and me, spend the summer at my house." she stopped laughing and stared at him. " i would love to."

now that memory seemed stronger under the same willow his mother was buried now , Cedric rested. that summer she had spent taking care of the boys father caring for him, and hearing her late love's secrets. "he wanted to marry you, since he was a little child he always liked you." even now that brought tears to her eyes.

seeing his father brought tears to her eyes nearly made her break down after what happened with her and harry she always felt as though she betrayed Cedric when she kissed harry..she couldn't imagine moving on and marrying someone else...she had been there through his mothers sickness and the funeral she had helped him through that. just as she helped his father.

the battle she was so scared heart in throat as she stood under the same tower which had protected her. she did not fear dying but the pain that came with it. considering the pain that she would be relived of she now thought it was a fair trade.

"cho!" her mind focused and she saw Luna. They to had been of the greatest friends even after her mistake. Luna was the only one who did not hate her. "Luna come here, how's your father i heard what happened are you faring well?" the bubbly girl nodded but squinted at her with a slight head tilt.

"what is it luna, are there things in my brain." she put on a small smile hopefully a believable one. "No it's nothing I've been seeing them a lot tonight, i've been seeing them a lot tonight their umbram mortis nothing to worry about" the girl squeezed Cho tightly "I'll see you in the battle." cho chang nodded and shrugged the girl was mental sometimes but she was a good person.

and then it started the battle the barrier had broken into nothing the beast attacked from trolls to werewolves and of course the death eaters. she protected some of the younger student keeping out for the horrid belatrix and hopefully the dark lord himself she wanted revenge.

collen a younger boy possibly only a third year let out a scream. Cho raced and struck the werewolf that was lunging at the boy. The beast struck at her and she felt the fangs sink in and heard her voice throw a counter curse.

"go inside collin." she ordered drozely. "but your bleeding-""i said inside do you want to be killed go before they find you.' she stepped dazzlingly towards the center of the courtyard shooting at the death eaters and giant her eyes continually searching for them..the dark lord and his pet.

peter pettygrew. she spotted him attacking a first year..torturing the poor kid. "expeliomus." she screamed. It was him the man who was there when her first and only love died he was there. "master save me." she had been holding him up by the throat levitating him with her powers.

'murderer, no one will save you not now not ever you will die screaming." she whispered the forbidden curse which gave her control of him " take the first sharp object you find and then you will go to your master and attack him with your wand and you will not stop until he kills you."

blood kept pouring as she stepped away she held to her chest the small first year luna looked up at her. " Cho are you alright-" a blt hit the pale girl sending her crashing. chang ran setting the wounded child quickly down next to luna "you going to be alright." she felt the pulse and then stood turning to see no other then yaxley he smirked. "you plan on getting revenge for your boy?" he chuckled blocking her spells before bombarding her with his own.

she blocked best she could vision becoming blurry and one spell to many she felt a shock in her chest. wand still in hand she flung the death curse on to the man who had thought he won he blocked and she heard luna defend herself.

"cho Please wake up." he vision became white and she smiled "it's alright lun..i'm home now.." she muttered and a silhouette stood above her.

"let me help you up." she touch a hand softer than silk and squinted in to the brightness. "who are you i can't see you." and just as the words left her lips person came into focus "i made a promise to be here when you left. Lady chang."
